I just saw Kelly’s vlog about Hobbes passing,…so very sad. She had mentioned calling and confiding in you, since you shared her love of him. Thankyou for that Brian. A good friend indeed.
13:39 those are "starlings" and they make cool patterns in the sky called "murmurations" you probably seen them do it when driving in the middle of nowhere. 😊😊😊
I enjoy your videos so much! I try and watch when I can, Im on the road myself, made it across Canada and down to NC to help with hurricane relief, and its usually 8am-8pm so I get pretty tired and just go to bed, lol! Volunteers, from all over, it is just a big lovefest, caring and sharing, helping people who lost everything!!! I brought my pressure cooker that you showed and Ive yet to try it because all the churches around here are feeding us volunteers❤🚗🇨🇦🚗🇨🇦🙋‼️😊
I remember my grandmother telling me about her early travels. She was born in 1902, her dad was an outdoorsy guy who each summer packed up the family and drove them up to Big Piney, WY from Perry OK using whatever roads were available at that point in time. He would set up camp to hunt and fish for a couple months after the 3 week drive each way. Imagine how much adventure and how self sufficient you'd need to be for such a trip! From Denver, I can hit much of WY in a few hours. The Highway system we now have is a luxury by comparison. Stay safe out there!
I have seen birds gather in trees in large groups but I have never seen that many geese filling the sky before! So much for flying in V-patterns😂, they were all over the place. That was very special to see, thanks Brian.✌️💚
Brian so sorry to hear about Hobbs, I know you and Kelly really loved him and enjoyed your time with him together. And I am so glad she has you to talk to, it just broke my heart. You guys are in my prayers
Love these types of vanlife videos. Small towns, blue skies, no drama. Totally chill. Except for those birds, they wanted to talk to you, lol. Safe travels in the CO mountains ✌️
So glad you tried the Runza (pronounced Run-zah, the first way you said it was correct). And in Wayne, where I went to college many years ago. Good to see the Nebraska countryside. Safe travels as you continue southwest.
Those aren't reservoirs. They're "Prairie Potholes"; excavations created to build the bridge over the interstate. You'll see them at many of the overpasses.
Wow! I started watching you here and there this summer . I am so shocked to see you are in Newcastle Nebraska! My grandfather was born on a homestead there on the Missouri in 1887 in a sod house. He lived until 104. My great grandmother is buried there and I have always wanted to go see the area. I have old photos and heard many stories of his childhood there! Very cool.
The Goose migration! I grew up along the Big Horn River and recall the cacophony of the Goose flocks. One night, geese mistaked our wet town streets as water and hundreds of them landed in town. 😮
That house place across from the boat dock where you stayed rents a cabin behind their house on the hill, man oh man did we party in that cabin hard in high school years and years ago. Never trashed the place always cleaned up, but the owners had to be pissed with all the 60 cars driving past to get to the cabin lol. Beautiful views up on that hill from the cabin though. Fun stories!
Someone put me on to runza when I was traveling through. I liked it. I'm not big on crinkle cut fries, but theirs are delicious and they they have a variety of different sandwiches/runzas. Definitely gonna eat there again if I make it through Nebraska
On a business trip crossing Nebraska, I think it was Holdridge , I went to a restaurant connected to an older casita motel. When I went to the adjoining restaurant, there were 100 farmers having a spring planting meeting - there was a stripper on the bar haha. The wives did not know. Good Nebraskan sirloin steak sandwich!
Sorry about Duder, bro. I was just out in NW Colo trying to get a pheasant. Surprised you didn't see a bunch of hunters at the SWA. Hope you beat the snow over Vail pass but if you didn't and wanna do Thanksgiving here shoot me a text. ✌️
My dog is going gray and I think he’s starting to think I’m weird after all these years as I hug him harder every day. We’ve arrived in Patagonia and he loves van life in cold South America. I’m less enthusiastic but you make cold weather look good.
Hey Brian, uh-o. Hope you made it over the pass before all that snow🙏🙏❣️ Happy Thanksgiving giving and safe travels. Sendin Grandmama love ❌⭕, Iris and Little One 👋🐾
Starlings. Next time in that area try the state park ash fall fossil beds. Lots of rhinoceros fossils. Lots of small ponds along the interstate there from when the road was built.
Sorry to hear about Hobbes, Kelly was experiencing some honest grieving in her post. Hobbes was representative of Kelly's mother when you think about it. An important period of her life. You may know this but the various reservoirs and lakes along the interstate were created when they mined fill when the highway was being built.
Hi Brian. Ken & I saw abt Hobbs. So glad you were able to be of such help to Kelly with taking care of him & giving him a good life. You be safe out there! Thanks for the video! Happy Thanksgiving, alot to be thankful for!! Hugs
AVM, Wow! what a nice place, Prewitt Reservoir👍👌. At the end of the video, looks like you are not alone going to the warmer part of the world. Some are traveling by air. Thanks by sharing. Drive safe.
I don't know when u filmed this, but if it's recently, you're going to catch some cold weather once u get west of Denver. I left Flagstaff AZ 2 weeks ago, which is lower than CO, and it was snowing.
I like Runza. As far as I know, there is only one store in Kansas now. Good thing I live about 15 miles from it. I can get a bowl of chili and a cinnamon roll. That takes me back to my school lunches as a kid.
After a long day of work, it's nice to travel vicariously with you. Thanks for making the road look so appealing. Great sequence with the migrating birds. I'm looking forward to seeing the Rockies. Safe travels.
Hi Brian. I just watched Kelly's video about Hobbs passing away and I just wanted to send you warm hugs and best wishes because I know you loved him too. Praying for you all.😢❤ Please go and enjoy your holiday and be safe my friend 🙏
Hey Brian , those black birds are always around near corn fields, I’m from N.Dakota we have 3-4 inches of snow and cold . I’m assuming your videos are delayed a little ✌️
The birds at Sutherland lake were probably grackles. They group up in huge flocks in the fall and it’s amazing to watch them fly in perfect synchronization, what they call susurration.
Awhh! You just missed Exit 329, off I-80. Fantastic free camping at “Vedauwoo” area. Incredible huge boulders, and hiking trails ( Turtle Rock ). Maybe Next time , if you pass by that way. 😁
You always get the nice 'free spots'. Good to see the boat ramp in Vermillion. Just as I left it. Your shots of the birds was great. Giddy-up through Colorado. Snow is a coming. Happy trails to you.
That sandwich looked yummy. I didn't realize you could back up so easily while pulling that trailer. Good to know. I'm very sad to hear about Hobbes passing. You and Kelly were such great caretakers for him.
Very sorry to hear about Hobbs. Know you cared much about him, and he about you. Love the migration of the birds. Wish you could have seen and heard the cranes. Neat area. Happy Thanksgiving. Safe travels. 🙂🙂
Great stuff Brian! Those noisy black birds look like Starlings...a nasty crew for sure! We have them here in SE Missouri, they roost in our trees and poop on everything, folks just cut their trees down to keep them away! Folks have had issues with their eyes from coming in contact with their droppings. Be safe, have fun! RIP Hobbes!
I just saw Kelly’s vlog about Hobbes passing,…so very sad. She had mentioned calling and confiding in you, since you shared her love of him. Thankyou for that Brian. A good friend indeed.
RIP Hobbes
I couldn't watch it. Between Facebook and TH-cam my emotions would or do get shredded daily. I have 8 indoor and 2 outdoor cats to care for.
Aww that's sad. He was so cute. R.i.p. hobbs
I couldn't watch it as I just lost my mom. I so loved Hobbes. I cried but knew I couldn't watch.
So sad. He looked so young.
You had my favorite at Runza. The mushroom Swiss runza is the best. And the fries are amazing. Their onion rings are also good.
Sorry to hear about Hobbes passing he enjoyed being with you
Peace
Getting to watch your videos is like meeting you for a cup of coffee. Thanks, Brian!
Sorry to hear about Hobbs. Must have been hard for her to do that video. You guys gave him a great adventure for the last part of his life.
The birds/geese are saying your timing is right on schedule, head south. Safe travels.
VERY much enjoyed your videography. Thank you dearly for sharing your adventures and explorations.
RIP Hobbs.
🤠👍 "Enjoy The Adventure".

A couple Sandhill Cranes flying... maybe on their way to Bosque del Apache NWR in NM...
Hugs to all and RIP Hobbs. 🙏
So nice for you to have the opportunity to watch all the birds flying over. Beautiful.

Wow.
The birds know that it’s time to be moving on! I wonder if they look at each other and say “And away we go!”
😂😂😂😂
Thanks for sharing, so sorry to hear about Hobbs. You and Kelly did good by him.❤ Happy Thanksgiving and safe travels my friend I've yet to meet 😎 ✌️
Those geese were so cool, thanks for sharing.
Sorry for your loss, Hobbes seemed to have a good life with lots of love from Kelly and you.❤
I have seen birds gather in trees in large groups but I have never seen that many geese filling the sky before! So much for flying in V-patterns😂, they were all over the place. That was very special to see, thanks Brian.✌️💚
Good to be heading for better weather. Also… you were a blessing to Kelly and Hobbes, a good doggy dad and incredible friend. ✌️❤️🙏
Brian so sorry to hear about Hobbs, I know you and Kelly really loved him and enjoyed your time with him together. And I am so glad she has you to talk to, it just broke my heart. You guys are in my prayers

Discreet and out of the way. That's was my jam when I was hitchhiking and urban camping. Safe and awesome adventures
Happy trails and the adventure continues !
Starlings. Good place right in the migration route to get the Flu.
RIP Hobbes. We had a great Thanksgiving last year..😔
Thanks for this interesting driving video. It is always good to get a look at the Mid-West.
Enjoying the video and the birds. Always take Hwy 76 down toward Denver off I-80 and never check out the reservoir so glad you showed it.
Safe travels Brian. Thank you for sharing the road trip and the birds in flight. Happy Thanksgiving this week.
Great spots to at least over-night at. Thanks for sharing Brian
Nice drive through Nebraska. Thanks for catching the geese! That was amazing! I've never seen so many together before.
Lots of traffic heading south in the sky!
That was really something to see , all of those birds at the end!!
Very cool.
I always enjoy watching the geese fly over. I’ve never seen that many at one time. Thanks for another great video.
The Goose migration!
I grew up along the Big Horn River and recall the cacophony of the Goose flocks. One night, geese mistaked our wet town streets as water and hundreds of them landed in town. 😮
The best part...tasting your way through America😜Much Love Brian🥰
You outdid yourself on this one. Loved all the birds.
Love the Autumn migration videos. Wish I could escape what mother nature has coming my way. Living vicariously through your videos.
That house place across from the boat dock where you stayed rents a cabin behind their house on the hill, man oh man did we party in that cabin hard in high school years and years ago. 20:16 holy cow Brian !! Alfred Hitchcock vibes !!! That was amazing. “Goose’s Geese’s I want my Geese to lay gold eggs for Easter”
Thinking of you and Kelly!❤ Hobbs was lucky to have so much love!
The birds reminds me of that Hitchcock movie or beginning of a horror movie 🎥
Someone put me on to runza when I was traveling through. I liked it. I'm not big on crinkle cut fries, but theirs are delicious and they they have a variety of different sandwiches/runzas. Definitely gonna eat there again if I make it through Nebraska
If you like onion rings, order ‘Frings’…you’ll get a mix of crinkle fries and onion rings for your side in the combo meal.
Thank you.
That’s sounds like Holdridge. Sigh.
Sorry about Duder, bro. I was just out in NW Colo trying to get a pheasant. Surprised you didn't see a bunch of hunters at the SWA. Hope you beat the snow over Vail pass but if you didn't and wanna do Thanksgiving here shoot me a text. ✌️

Watching in Miami - thanks for the video!
Geese were breath taking!!!! ❤️
Would be cool to catch up with you this winter. I'm headed west from the Maryland coast. 🫡 🖖
Enjoy your videos. You have the voice of a radio announcer, so easy to listen to. 😃 So sad about Hobbs 💔
I think the squeaky birds were starlings. 😅😅
Sorry to hear about Hobbes, Kelly was experiencing some honest grieving in her post. Hobbes was representative of Kelly's mother when you think about it. An important period of her life. You may know this but the various reservoirs and lakes along the interstate were created when they mined fill when the highway was being built.
So sorry for the loss of Hobbs . 🌈
That’s the most geese I’ve ever seen flying. Wow!
Runza....Runza right thruz ya! I think folks either love or hate the Runza Burger. lol
Hi Brian. Ken & I saw abt Hobbs. So glad you were able to be of such help to Kelly with taking care of him & giving him a good life. You be safe out there! Thanks for the video! Happy Thanksgiving, alot to be thankful for!! Hugs
I’ve never seen so many geese flocked together, that was amazing! Thanks for sharing 😊
HEY! Hello Brian!!
Cold wind up in saskatchewan we had two feet of snow . Was a foot in Bismark ND
Sounds like Grackles at the Nebraska Camp Site.
AVM, Wow! what a nice place, Prewitt Reservoir👍👌. At the end of the video, looks like you are not alone going to the warmer part of the world. Some are traveling by air. Thanks by sharing. Drive safe.
😁😁😎😎👍👍 Sorry for the loss of Hobbs, just saw the news.

You were in my hometown of Wayne. Wow. I could have brought you baked goods! Glad you enjoyed your Runza. Safe travels.
Nebraska is still flat. Happy travels Brian.
Nebraska is far from flat. Get off the interstate and explore on the 2 lane roads.
that was a serious flock of geese! wow. really liked the bird footage at the end too!
Always get excied when a new video pops up fantastic brian we are heading into summer in melb Australia
Those geese formations looked like lace! Awesome!
After a long day of work, it's nice to travel vicariously with you. Thanks for making the road look so appealing. Great sequence with the migrating birds. I'm looking forward to seeing the Rockies. Safe travels.
Yay, Runza!
Awesome video
Sorry to hear about Hobbes, he was a great dog
Those birds look like mosquito season in Maine!
Well done as always. I love your touch on these videos. I'm heading south soon. The journey is the destination. Peace!

I’ve enjoyed Runza many times down in KC. Not exclusive to Nebraska so much anymore

Happy trails to you.
Cooks pond hershey nebraska i used to hunt the left side of that road and down to the river
You missed the best onion rings at Runza. Superb.
Enjoy your trip and the geese, and the trees with the birds

Traffic sound wouldn't bother me because I have a fan going every night when I sleep for the white noise
Sorry about Hobbes passing such a good dog he was. Hope you get another dog in the future. Safe travels and stay strong. 🙏
Brian, thanks for another enjoyable video.
Runza is awesome
Very cool video, have a Happy Thanksgiving.......
