I wish I could say the same, I was obsessed. Had a major cull from the 9 drawers system down to two acrylic organizers and they are both full rn…time for a no buy.
Same. I had an Alex 9 drawers full of make up and now I have a makeup bag with all my makeup in it. I have always worn makeup like once a month, I never needed more than a makeup bag.
Omg exactly ... I used to be so jealous ... until I started buying my own makeup ... I bought so much stuff and honestly it was so overwhelming and confusing... I honestly have 3 eyeshadow pallets and 1 product each now... looking at this declutter gives me the same feels of relief as you described ...
Same, that time was probably the peak of my makeup obsession and I fell into the hype of buying way too many things. A lot that didn't even work well for me or I didn't use that much. Thankfully now I've learned what products work for me and what I will actually get good use out of on an everyday basis. So at least 90 % of the releases we're constantly barraged with don't even tempt me. Or I can talk myself out of it by knowing I probably already have something similar in my collection.

You've done WAY better than most makeup "artists/influencers" that have the same problem you have piling-up HOWEVER, unlike you, that not only admits it you actually do something about it. LOVED this video! declutter are my fave! and the video idea of using products you forgot about is so interesting, so I'm looking forward to seeing that! 🤩 but from this video I got an idea where you could try editorial-ish makeup with less known/more unique makeup products/brands. it's be a little different from the videos you usually make, but very intriguing in my option!! 😋

RE: the background, I actually liked your cloud so much I got one on my own, and a couple more cloud accessories, please, keep it! Also I loooove love love love your tan/nude/white background, it's super soothing, I wish you could stay in that colour family

Loved this declutter was satisfying to watch🥰 I loved your old fairy lights you had dangling down and you could get a big cheese plant or something for the corner! Also for everything that’s going in the bin bc it’s expired or whatever, if you can get the packaging clean you can take it to your local Body Shop or I think Superdrug now too to recycle them! I know that the body shop ones are recycled into more of their packaging which is pretty cool! ❤

also i think you have the straw the wrong way round in your cup, the ring round the straw goes inside the cup and stops the straw from falling out, idk maybe i'm wrong.

You should have a separate space for all the things you use for travel. Like minis and stuff or if you use an eyeshadow pallet only for travel too it’ll just help declutter the drawers

That made me feel so much better about my makeup collection, i sometime feel overwhelmed because they cost a lot of money and i can’t finish them. I try to declutter as much as i can but it’s way harder when they are product you bought with the money you earned so hardly
If I was a makeup influencer I would save cute PR boxes and then do like a PR box giveaway where you fill up the cute boxes with products you’ve never used etc and give them away to subscribers who would love to experience what it’s like to get a PR box! You’d have to make sure everything was sanitary of course but it would be such a cute idea!

One thing I like to do when I do declutters like these is to put the "keep" box a little bit further away, like maybe even to where I have to walk to it, that way I have to really want to keep it, and I know I'm not just keeping it because it's easy to do.
Did you ever go over what it is in base makeup that you're allergic too? Just curious.

Love this sort of content, it's so soothing 😂 And maybe it's the project manager in me, but have you considered making a spreadsheet of all your products? You could have a series of columns with the basic info and then some more subjective judgement-type columns for things like 'worth it', 'texture', 'cool or warm', 'limited edition', etc etc

I love binning stuff, earlier I literally opened my wardrobe and binned a whole bin bag of stuff. I lived with my grandparents and my nan was a huge hoarder so I feel so much better when I bin stuff😂
I did this last month too Soph! I found a 'spare' CYO eyeliner i absolutely loved, it was the perfect brown with a hint of bronze... then CYO disappeared & can't find one quite so good 😢
