Frank B Stiletto Italy new 9 “ stag horn new unboxing

March 15-2022. Purchased new it’s a Frank B Stiletto 9 inches total length . It has brass liners and brass pins. A stag horn handle . Polished bolsters . It’s a switch blade automatic knife. Has a bayonet blade which says Frank B Italy. It has good weight and It’s a good quality knife.

I recently found an old picklock one by Vittorio Beltrame (Frank B's grandfather) with nice horn scales (either from buffalo or cattlehorn) I absolutely love it

Thanks for reviewing this item. I just bought this exact same one. It’s decent. But mine, the safety switch is non-functional. It’s just too tight to use with one hand. I Just leave mine in the unlocked position. The blade is not sharp, but I expect that from a stiletto.

I have a Frank B Buffalo Horn 9" like this... and just got an 11" Buffalo Horn the other day (both Bayonet Blade). Getting a 8" or 9" Stag next 🗡

@@jamesluther3506 nice, but could you say a bit more? I’m looking to buy one, and I’m still on the fence. Do you feel like it’s a genuine horn? Does it have any damage on the blade (like scratches from blade coming into contact with liners)? How’s general fit and and finish (are there gaps between liners and scales)

@@KanekiKen-lm1dl Yes they use genuine horn. There are no scratches on the blade. They use brass liners. Mine has a small gap in one liner that I noticed. I paid 96 bucks for mine. I think it pretty good for a handmade knife.

It depends on how well its made,there's no telling how much blade play you gonna get,they are all different. His is his but what you get won't be the same. Remember that. I've asked for no bladeplay and got that but with a really tight pivot slowing the opening down..
There handmade,each is it's own creation. No 2 are the same. That's all I can say really as a lifetime collector of these type of stilettos. Some makes are better than others tho, the walts latamas are gonna cost more but as an Italian piece they are the best for little to zero play..

Feel free to ask me about any make,I have an example of all of em. F beltrames don't use totally solid bolsters while others do, some pivots aren't 100% straight and the locking mechanism also make a difference. 🤷 something you won't find on the open market are the santini/beltrame make,they were great,totally solid but not made anymore. Aga make solid knives.
