DeBoer ain't coaching in the PAC 12 anymore. This is the SEC where good defense is a must if you're going to win. I don't doubt he's a very good coach, but my two concerns about him were that he would spend too much time on the offense and ignore the defense and how well he could recruit in the south.

Doesn't mean Bama isn't all that good or even overrated. This is still the team that beat Georgia. But this Bama team will definitely have to do some soul-searching after Saturday. As a Bama fan, I felt this loss was coming all week long. They played a high-intensity game against Georgia, which no other team has to experience btw, and then came out flat against Vandy because it's tough to go from a Georgia to a Vandy let's be real. Tbh, that's a coaching mishap more than anything, and something which Saban was so good at avoiding with his teams. And to top it off, Vandy makes it their sole existence as a football program to beat Bama. Well, unfortunately for us Bama fans, it finally happened.
