I am From Conneaut ohio Transplanted to Murphy NC. We Have a Lake down here that has Huge Jumbo Perch (I'm not telling) and when I found your videos it made me homesick. Love them. Also I have bought some of your gear. Great Videos, lots of fun to watch.
As always a pleasure to watch one more video loaded of tips for perch. .. I never thought that I could just put the 3 hooks with "T turns" and that will complete my max of hooks, i always learn something new with you. Here in jersey is 3 hooks max per line and 3 lines per person.... I don't have the opportunity of fishing in a lake load of wonderful fish like you do I most go to a river so this fall I believe I will try to take my son for some pike and trout if available. Thanks again Ivo for one more excellent episode....
Hi Yogisancr - so glad you enjoyed this perch episode and hope you have a great time fishing for pike/trout with your son - sounds like a great day of fishing and some good quality time with your son :) Good luck on the water
Hi Hayden and thanks for such great feedback - we are so happy you are enjoying our videos and really appreciate you taking the time to write to us :) Good luck on the water
I bet youve seen me on another comment... I live in Northern Michigan and the lake i fish on has awesome perch.. but my water depth that i fish at is 8-10 feet.. I use a one hook rig and still get luck I am a big subscriber and i love your vids.. thank you for showing ME how to catch perch more eficiently (however that is spelled) :)
Hi Duncan - it's great to hear form you in Michigan - plenty of great fishing there :) Thanks for being a big time subscriber - it's great to have you on board :)
Hey Ivo, Cool to see Lisa out there with you and Antonio. I couldn't help but notice two distinct "beeps" around 6:45 in your video and I'm really curious as to what they are... do you mind having a go at your vid and telling me what you think? Thanks :)
Hello ivo that was a really nice set antonio had. I was just wondering how can i do it? Because im going fishing this weekend and i would love to give it a try.
You can tie 3 snelled hooks on direct to your line, or if you want the advantage of the T-Turn, you can tie on 3 T-Turns (suggest using the small size for perch) - good lcuk on the water :)
Hi Dawn - I love to fish for large-mouth bass and here is just one of our videos - hope you like it :) How to Catch Largemouth Bass Along a Weed Edge - Bass Fishing the Detroit River using the Flexi-Jig
Hello i am going fishing this march on a boat fishing at lake "Erie" I usually go and come back with small fish like bluegill and perch! Can you please give me some advice for fishing on a boat. I am mainly targeting Rainbow trout and Walleye, thanks.
Hello Jack - for the rainbows on Lake Erie, you will want to troll - you can also troll for walleye as well and a common lure to use would be the SP1 size or SP2 size Viper Spoons. If you are going to be drifting, then you can jig for them using the Flexi Jig or the Bucktail Flexi Jig. Good lcuk out there Jack - Lake Erie has some fantastic fishing!
HI Ricardo - if you are looking for a decent all purpose reel for both fresh and salt water fishing, take a look at the Salt Striker Reels from Cabelas......economical reel but yet decent quality :) Otherwise, check out the Penn reels - they have a large variety to chose from, depending on your budget - good luck :) (PS> I also like Diawa reels - they have some but they are pricey)
I remember, I was using a minnow net to catch minnows for my fish tank, I had about 5 of em, these kids grab the jar of em and throw it into the lake Lol thank God for that cork on it.

Hi, I have been perching just across the lake from you and doing real well by substituting a jigging spoon for the sinker and using small plastics tied as droppers above the spoon. Seems to out fish the emeralds. Have you tried this?
Hi there Mr. Pequod - we love to use small jigging spoons for perch and stay tuned as early next year, Thundermist Lure Company will be releasing a new line of jigging spoons, which will be minnow imitating and great for anything from perch, to walleye and bass and anything in between....including being salt water ready :)
Ivo another enjoyable video. I would appreciate an instructional video from you explaining how to decide when to use a spinning reel vs a spin cast vs a bait cast. What are the pros and cons of each and what type of fishing is best suited to each type of reel? Thanks!
Hi Ken - we have a lot of instructional videos on our youtube channel (th-cam.com/users/thundermistlures) and hopefully you'll get a chance to do some searching on there . One of the main differences is that spinning reels are not intended for heavy mono or fluorocarbon line, and bait casters are not intended for any thin diameter mono, fluorocarbon or braided lines - meanwhile though, here is a video on bait caster reels, explaining use an giving some tips: Quick Tips on Baitcasting Reels - How to Use a Baitcasting Reel - Including Spooling and Casting and here is a quick video giving 3 tips on a spinning reel: Three Quick Tips You Must Know Before You Buy A Spinning Reel and in this video, I actually use a spin-cast reel and give some related tips on spincast reels in this episode :)
+Samiran Saha You can use the T-Turns to tie multiple hooks, but if you want a quick easy way - here is a quick video, but please keep in mind this may cause line twist :)th-cam.com/video/T0A-g2f1urI/w-d-xo.html
I'm sure somewhere I do, but a few points to mention are the baitcaster rod fishes with the eyes pointing up and the spinning rod fishes with the eyes pointing down - a spinner rod will also have a large eye, then the rest of the eyes typically get smaller (large eye needs to accommodate the wrapping/un-wrapping of line) whereas the baitcaster typically has just one size eye as they are all small. Here's a video that may also help: th-cam.com/video/2QEz6ECaBSo/w-d-xo.html
Good video, enjoyed it! Do you guys ever try and catch sunfish? I know y'all do in the winter time. We don't have perch in the lake and rivers I fish in but would like some tips on how to catch big sunfish and bluegill
Eagle Gaming Great to hear from you and nice to have you on board as a subscriber :) The water around the Toronto Islands will hold plenty of perch and if you wanted to go to such places like Humber bay Park, you should do good there as well....of course, lake Simcoe is loaded with perch :)
Minnows would be the best bait followed by worms.....small artificial jigging spoons work great as well, and so do small jigs :) PS> cut bait is a good alternative if other bait can not be found

More Lisa, less of the guy in the hat...especially the talking, he talks way too much.
