i feel like this lore stream shows tommy's child-like side with how excited he got over Las Nevadas, because he is still a child even though he had been forced to grow up quicker. it really hurt to see Wilbur undermining his excitement and when he yelled "shut up" when all tommy wanted was to show will how happy he was. and then when Wilbur and big q had that heated argument in front of tommy, you could see that tommy even felt scared at the aggressive yelling /rp

The other thing is that after Wilbur said shut up,while the two were arguing Wilbur's voice went back calm and i heard him saying

I can excuse the whole Techno was trying to turn him against L’manburg because Techno really did act with incomplete info, but not that. The way Tommy’s smile just falters at 42:31 and he sinks back into his chair is so depressing. I find that part of the stream was just really well done, the yelling and confusion of it all.
Honestly the whole stream was just amazing, really highlighting their dynamics and despite everything that’s happened, c!Tommy is still just a scared kid trying to figure out what to do.

This stream was genius. They didn’t just do a straight forward manipulation that’s easy to see is manipulation, but they did a realistic one. every time they took their manipulation a bit too far they would give Tommy praise and half-assed apologies with half-assed promises. Wilbur and quakity’s manipulation reminds me a lot of my old friend’s manipulation. They make you think it’s ok because they acknowledge what they did and apologize any time that the victim starts to catch on to the manipulation happening.
Tommy's acting is genuinely convincing and it's actually heartbreaking seeing him so distraught.

I feel like all of the nations represent different time periods. Like L’Manberg (o7) was the old houses in 16-17th century America or England and Snowchester while very small has nukes and might represent the industrial period (or whenever nukes were invented). Las Nevadas to me represents either the 1920s ish or modern day because of the big buildings, lights, and entertainment in it.
The first nuke was in 16 July 1945

You know what Quackity and Wilbur are treating tommy as, a toy. When you were younger you probably had a friend/classmate/sibling who had this cool new toy, and even if the toy was made out of terrible material and had terrible designs you still wanted it. You wanted it because no one else would have it. Wilbur and Quackity are acting like children. Their playing a childish game of Tug-of-war with Tommy being the thing that is tugged. They want Tommy so the other doesnt have Tommy.
This was just a weird thought I was having while rewatching this stream/video.

The sad thing is there is a part of Wilbur that cares for Tommy, he cared all the way in L'manberg telling Tommy not to throw away his life for the revolution and that part still exists. He protects Tommy from the strip club and pulls him away from the gambling room after he bets too much. Wilbur freaks out when Tommy mentions ending it all while on the needle.
Wilbur's being manipulative after being alone in his own personal hell for years with Schlatt sleeping and by the time Mexcian Dream showed up he had already been isolated for years. Wilbur's being very toxic but he isn't manipulating people for fun, he's manipulating people so they don't abandon him because he's stated that he thinks everyone outside of Tommy, Phil and Jack hate him for what he's done.
That doesn't mean he isn't hurting people or excuse the manipulation just that it comes from a place of trauma after being isolated for so long. He cares for Tommy but he's manipulating him because his low self-esteem causes him to believe Tommy will leave him at the drop of a hat.
its not a brotherly relationship between rhe charcters, its more like a strict manipulative parent or a protage. platonic love without respect yknow?
they both want something out of him and will trade anything but what he truly needs to get it. they have alterior motives and tommy knows it, wether it be to fight for them or to simply be wrapped around their finger.
wilburs charcter is really an amazing arc, you can really see the slight changes after pogtopia but the exact same desperation. hes still manic and manipulative but now hes trying to go the roundabout way to what he wants.
meanwhile quackitys charcter is a force to be reckoned with, hes abrasive everywhere but here, its like hes a new person when he enters las nevadas, because he wants something. schlatt really rubbed off on him, but that's exactly what he doesnt want to hear. he doesnt care that the world already changed and moved on, that the people who used to love him lost him not to the world, but to his own insecurities.
both charcters lost what they had, what they dedicated their lives to! so they live on through the past, hungering for what they lost to come back without ever realizing even if it came back, they are changed. what they had before wouldn't like to see them now but they are too blinded to see that.

C!Tommy is torn between two manipulators and I'm loving the angst it brings
While I found the custody battle and c!Wilbur and c!Quackity flirting hillarious today, I will say that it is horribly sad to see c!Tommy falling into his old patterns and letting c!Wilbur manipulate him again by calling him family. Having so many overpowered villains who have such a hold on c!Tommy seems overkill- why aren't there any powerful and involved good guys on the server? It'd really be refreshing to Tommy finally be able to align himself with someone who has some basic common sense, decent morals, and their shit together to a point where they're a legitimate threat to the villains. Right now, as it has been nearly every time before, its an uphill battle where no one has learned anything. And that's just exhausting to watch.
It's sad too because Sam and Puffy filled that role for a little bit, but Sam and Tommy now hate each other and Puffy seems to be drifting away from him as well (though that may just be because they don't cross paths very often, and so they don't interact much as a result). In the end, Tommy always gets blamed for things that aren't entirely his fault, and the cycle of abandonment continues on.
