You do NOT need to have a relic to get void traces, you just need to collect 10 reactant.

Note: If you do random public matches in Deimos, don't be mad if people just want to complete the mission. Not everyone is farming corrupted mods, some are just completing it for the first time or farming other things. Do it solo or with a dedicated team. Same thing for sabotage caches.
Most people running horend are running vaults, ran into a pair that complained because they were hunting genetic codes in pug's and whining at everyone just speedrunning the mission. If your goal is to farm something else when the majority is doing vaults go solo or recruit a private squad. So I guess my point is on the flip side don't be mad when people show up to run vaults and you just want to finish the mission. Especially since I'm fairly certain there is no exclusive rewards in that node.

In my example I meant people going in a public match with 4 keys expecting to play the mission alone but gets paired with other people. If you want to farm vaults alone, do it solo, if you want efficient farm,make a dedicated team. But don't try to farm alone in a public match expecting everyone to comply and stay 10-15min in the mission. At least ask to confirm if they want to search for the vault.
Even in popular nodes for specific rewards people ask me if I'm farming a specific resource or item. For example I do some fissure missions in the Void, but sometimes there's a guy farming Argon Crystals, and they ask to mark it if I find it. They usually understand if I'm not willing to stay longer. There are other examples, but regardless of majority or minority, if it is a public mission make it clear at the start of the mission.
@@takezokimura2571 No not anymore they don't that was Brozimes whole point that all it takes is an unmodded rhino and vectis to efficiently run vaults lol. When I run vaults whether solo or not it takes maximum 5 minutes even pug capture missions with newbies still don't take more than 5 minutes on average. And I agree if it's taking that long then the vault farmer has nothing to lose anyways since it's faster to just finish the mission than to spend that long looking. That has always been a rule for me and I'm surprised broz didn't mention it, when he said he might have to back track. If it hits 5 minutes I just leave since it's faster to start another mission. This is all doubly true since you no longer need derelict keys to run these if there was a resource being expended I could see but it's literally free to just run the mission.

I can do 5 normal capture missions in 5 minutes. 5 minutes is a lot of time for this type of mission, public matches usually take 1min30s, but 3-5 minutes is a lot for this mission type.
@@takezokimura2571 I was being generous saying that trying to be fair for a newer player which is what your original complaint was about "15 minutes for a vault run" obviosuly we can run captures faster just as I can run vaults faster. But thats not the point. Furthermore as I already said if you're mad because you're trying to run horend for some specific resource and 5 minutes is too long then go solo or find a different node horend has no unique mission rewards that you can't get just as easily or quickly elsewhere. That's like complaining about speed running void capture missions for argon because you want to farm corrupted vor if you're the outlier or minority on a node accept it and go solo or recruit a dedicated squad.
I'm almost MR 30, have hundreds and hundreds of hours and I literally ignored this entire farm as I thought I could only have one key on at a time and had to keep grouping with randoms. Thank you Brozime, you've been my consistent WF go to - now to make an infested mobility rhino build for this.
if youre already up there, honestly forget rhino and go for limbo for corrupted keys. instead of worrying about iron skin you just press shift lol
Honestly, I went with Zephyr. 3 keeps you safe at range, and Aero mods/aura keep you out of melee. 1 make you fast.
Before, way back when deimos didn't exist. Relics didn't exist. You could only equip one key. They changed it some way through
I went with a lvl 5 nyx and it turned out absolutely fine
Just by them if your a vet, they like 10plt
Remember that sometimes Lotus will "change the plans" and then the capture becomes a extermination mission so if you didn't find the door after getting the target just abandon the mission and restart it. Doing the extermination will take way more time than restarting

3:50 you can get void traces by doing the missions without a relic but using a relic allows for the possibility of more traces
true also wanted to add a quick note: not 100% sure about this but from my experience warframes that increase drops increase the amount of traces gained for example khora or nekros but I'm not 100% sure so its better to look it up first if the person that's farming doesn't already have the warframe

I'd say it relies on players like myself who know exactly how mind numbing, and long, it will be to acquire certain pieces of gear or mods, and think it far more efficient to spend those hours of drudgery at work than burning out on a game. Then my leisure time is spent entirely on *using* the mods rather than on *obtaining* them.
Oh, that and rivens. Can't underestimate how much a fool will be willing to pay for a BIG NUMBARR!!! that realistically changes nothing.
@@chaosgyro Rivens are actually hilarious. I got a bit lucky recently and made like 1k plat with rivens for meta weapons that have terrible dispo and one hit everything without rivens anyway.

Hah, just jumped back into this game this weekend after a few years to grab the ghoulsaw and was looking at all the mods from here I was missing. Didn't know it was so easy to farm them, I'm definitely way op to get through there lol. That cuts through my "too much stuff to grind in too many weird places" frustration, thanks!
you can kill 2 birds with one stone by just carrying a decent melee and have your scanner equipped to get kavat genetic code. there's always at least one to get in that map

Personally I rather like not having my hand held at all so I can discover things. I've always been a stop and smell the roses gamer so neat things like cephalon fragments, parkour rooms (before bullet jumping and the removal of stamina effectively removed those as a hurdle), and even the derelict vaults were all a pleasure to discover. Of course I can also spend a couple hours listening to Mass Effect's Codex entries for the same reason.
@@kevinlopezobrien5366 While I do think that most of Warframe's more mysterious things and easter eggs are part of the fun, stumbling over them and realizing "oh shit, I can do WHAT now?" There are definitely more things that can be done to guide people toward important aspects. What some don't realize is, they've been installing instruction pop up tips to various screens, and all the devs would really need to do is forcefully pop them out upon first visit to those screens to give new players a better overview of the basics.
Corrupted mods being important to most good builds, though, probably shouldn't be an easter egg or "stumble upon."
I wish there was another kind of mission you could get those mods from. Even if it's more difficult in terms of enemy levels, so long as it doesn't involve licking walls in Orokin Derelict tileset i'd be happy.
I mean, I think that's part of the lure of doing it in groups. Used to be you had to in order to take all the keys in. It's good that that's not required now, and solos are able to do it, but a full squad searching every corner is still 1000% more efficient than, as you say, licking walls. Through experience, I've gotten relatively good at peeking into most corners for the vault hiding spot, but having others in my party to help look is almost always way way faster.
One thing I love about this farm is how it scales a bit with your capabilities. At first, you try to think about who takes which key, then you work your way up to having all keys on a fast frame. When I'm helping new players, Wisp is my favorite to bring, placing motes in chokepoints.
I've been making my own solo clan because I didn't even know you could join someone else's. I thought it was like a base that you had to have for trading. I have nearly every lab unlocked and I'm about to have railjack room... I feel dumb but it's kinda fun
Well hey, now you have the chance to invite friends and other new people and experience leading them all in your clan. That's what I did and it's a really neat experience, once you get to a certain point you just have all sorts of things that are huge leg-ups for newer players, and keeping an eye out for new people who still need a clan and asking if they want to join up is a great thing to do.
Keep your clan small, I am on a moon clan and we can't build shit because just a couple of members actually bother to donate stuff
That's what I did, I really enjoy it. The majority of items are doable as a solo player in a ghost clan. Ffffuck the Hema tho
@@EvilPineappl I just unlocked the hema a couple days ago, but I literally never farmed for mutagen. Almost all of it came from Deimos back when it was new and I was running vaults, and the last bit was just extractors on Eris/Deimos and login rewards
When i started playing me and my mates decided to make our own clan. I think its pretty good causs its likenour own littlw home
One of the best frames for this farm is wukong. Because his twin is unaffected. So I spawn the twin and just search the level and not worry about fighting.

@@kevinlopezobrien5366 you're welcome. I also love that the twin uses primary when you use melee. So in the context of the video you can run the xoris and have the twin use a beam or aoe to quickly clear everyone out.

Also, I know they aren't important to the farm as you'll be running past them anyway, but I would've mentioned the corrupted that spawn after taking the mod from the vault.

@@LionKing-ys6el When you take the mod a bunch of Corrupted Lancers and maybe Corrupted Heavy Gunners will spawn to attack you. Most of the time you'll just run past them like everyone else though.

Also like to add, while it's not necessarily a new player pro tip...taking even three of the keys into a Deimos Syndicate, Nightmare or Kuva Siphon isn't a terrible idea. I'm a huge supporter of accomplishing more than one thing at a time, and getting more out of a run than just ONE specific thing. So in addition to JUST getting a Corrupted mod, if you can also get a chunk of Syndicate rep (if for nothing else than closer to a free void relic pack), a rare Nightmare mod, some extra Kuva and a possible Requiem relic...always glance at the star chart for possibilities to tag team the run with multiple objectives, even if it's a tad trickier to complete.
Most times at Deimos the nightmare missions are related to the bosses (only 5k or 7.5k credits)

Best Warframe tutorial in existence. Every other tutorial suggest max requirements as If we've leveled to MR 15 with Prime Warframes and weapons (which stupidly enough is the point where we don't need tutorials by then).
I've done a vault run before but I did it with a team so we each just took one of the keys and when one of us found it he just alerted the rest of us so the guy who had the right key (I think it was the Hobbled Key) could show up and open it.
But using Rhino does make the most sense I guess if you have to run it alone.
As a Mag player, the bleeding key has given me more trouble because of toxin bypassing shields. Mags 4 gives overshields, which are not affected by the decaying key
Ran into a new player on Cetus doing some bounties today. We came across an Eidolon, and they wanted to fight it. I've never done it before, but I knew a bit of the theory behind it so decided to give it a shot with nothing other than a Mesa Prime, a Sybaris Prime, a level 27 unguilded 111 amp, and a dream.
Surprisingly, the amp wasn't the problem, but the Sybaris Prime just wasn't cutting it. Had to admit that I just wasn't equipped for it. They said they just wanted to get stronger and had no clue how to do so.
As a founder just returning to the game after a 4 year break, this video was pretty much the only resource I could think of to help them out (they said mods were something they were pretty lacking in).
Wasn't able to add them as a friend (maybe a crossplay thing), so I can only hope it helped.

The method I used for farming vaults, was stacking all keys and just running Limbo. Immediately on spawn, just hit shift and enjoy the safety while you search.
A few years ago, like after The Sacrifice was released, wasn’t there a 1 key limit for your gear wheel to incentivize PUGing in the chat for a group of 4 to do Vault Runs?
Yeah
It's been a 1 key limit from the start. It's only when they did the gear wheel rework to allow infinite equipped gear that they _accidentally_ removed the limit. They were talking about fixing it, but got a small riot on the forums over it, and ended up keeping it in. Farming corrupted mods used to be an ordeal, whether you were trying to do it solo with a 1/4 chance or tried to get a squad together, make sure everyone has a unique key, everyone knows what they're doing... Obviously, hunting for these with a squad is better even now, but at least now you can jump into a mission with 4 randoms and not worry that somebody came with no keys.

I’ve been playing this game on and off since like March 2013? It just came out of an invite only beta. Like back when it had mission stamina to prevent you from blowing through the star chart and there were mission cards to suggest the mission type for each node (I think back then the node’s only affected the tileset and mission type was an independent variable you voted on before it started.) I remember that since it had the stamina system, my friends and I never wanted to complete the missions with any urgency because it would subtract from your total allowed missions. So you just did an extermination and fuck around doing hallway wall runs and running straight up walls and doing back flips off.
@@kyleleehufnagel I started just a bit later. By the time I started, there was no limit on daily missions, but there was a limit on daily revives. And you had to helicopter if you wanted to traverse quickly, because no bullet jump and a sprint bar. Honestly, the game got a lot better since the parkour update. :D But yeah, it's easy to miss all of these changes. I'm still occasionally finding features going, "Since when?" And it turns out it's been in a game for 2+ years... WF is really big now. For all its flaws, I'm surprised DE are managing to keep it functioning it as well as they do.
FTP player here : am at about 1700 hours at this point, i am MR 26 so i have most Frames and weapons even almost all primes, i also have tones of deluxe skins and Cosmetics (made tones of plat by selling maxed primed mods i buy from baro and selling rivens once a while) also the slot system is really not a problem Imo since you can get them from nightwave and play is easy to get.
Warframe is one of the best examples of how to do monetization in a free2play game without being pay to win, and it does it better then most full priced games ive played recently, With that said i do run short on resources at times but thats just because i build stuff all the time and am using helminth a lot, but it's no big deal.
Literally the only thing that makes Warframe's monetization not so kosher is the idea that "I can pay to get stuff/upgrade faster." However, there are even counters to that. 1) What PvP is present is largely unaffected by people getting various Frames or weapons sooner. 2) Trading allows for people who don't pay to get access to the same boosters or items people who pay have, making playing and farming far more rewarding long term, and buying those things with real money more of a waste than anything. 3) Even if Warframe didn't have a full market and microtransactions, and was a "pay once, get access to everything" type of game, there are a lotta things that require progression to reach but have ways around it when utilizing the community. For example, low MR players can be brought along on the missions to get Grendel, or taxied to most of the boss farms for those Frames (barring maybe Kela and Ambulas since they require an item for entry), Ivara is in spy vaults, Open world bounties house Revenant, Gara, and Xaku. The community can be a big help getting new stuff, and by the time you've reached high enough MR, you can farm the rest of it anyways.
The game has a lot to grind, sure, but heavily incentivizes coop to circumvent it, and largely rewards players that take advantage of cooperation...as opposed to imposing massive grind and giving you no way around any of it but paying.
Can I just say that I personally find it ridiculous that a Free to Playthrough series for Warframe is even a thing?
Nothing against the content! Not at all. You're doing an amazing job at explaining newbies how to get stuff for free.
But this is kind of my point, everything in Warframe is obtainable through playing except for certain cosmetics. You literally don't need to pay for anything, and with the amount of time-gating the game naturally has you will have plenty of time to gain platinum through trading from nearly the very start. However the game does such an insanely bad job at explaining ANYTHING that I've had tons of run-ins with newbies spending actual money to buy the essential mods. Because they think these mods are necessary at early level missions before even getting to Deimos.

You hit the nail on the head, sir. As a new player (probably about 30 hrs in, just finished war within) this game is the absolute worst at explaining how ANYTHING works outside of the basics. I spend more time looking up info on how to do things than time spent actually doing those things lol. I think it was done this way on purpose, for more profit.

This is an incredibly dull farm, so I would urge newbies to remember that cracking relics and selling prime parts for plat is always an option. If that corrupted mod doesn't drop, just buy that shit from another player who did get lucky.
Farming primes is also very dull but at least you can get some new weapons while doing it and sometimes you can get lucky and hit a very expensive part. Also remember to always play in a public lobby or get 3 people from recruiting chat for some extra choices
@@Yomush farming primes can be dull, but if your smart you can farm multiple things at once, picking a survival or defence, on a planet that drops a certain resource you need, levelling, prime parts/junk for ducats making it a lot more worthwhile early game IMO being a returning player on a different platform this method has sped up the early game grind significantly.
Its far more time efficient to work a minimum wage job and wait for a 50% plat discount. Buy the $20 pack and its better plat/hr than any farm out there

Hours dont reflect knowledge or skill especially with a game like Warframe thats a jack of all trades but master of none. The game itself is a huge time sink that also works as a psychological manipulation to lessen the time sink with actual financial investments to lower the time sink. You’d be surprised how many players play Warframe that have a shit ton of hours and still dont know shit because they copy paste builds and if it werent for others telling them everything they need to know they wouldnt know otherwise. Many players also have a lot of hours but never really put the grind and time for most of stuff they own

If you get a sleep WF, you can also farm kavat scan on the way :)
Limbo is good with some range and duration.
I have to carry the damage reduction key to keep the kavats alive but I just use 4 and 2, all weaker enemy die and recharge your energy.
Then you can calmly scan them. Limbo also nullifies the 3 other debuffs.

Tip: Limbo is really easy to use for his invulnerability. Run all 4 keys then run a Deimos survival then look for the Vault.

For those looking to min/max this farm, using Titania with Razorwing Blitz is way faster and you can easily carry all 4 keys.
Ran it like that for four hours today, I got one of six that I have left to collect. So many duplicates!
Let me add a note to what you said, Brozime, after 3:42 . You don't get traces for opening relics, you get a prime part or a forma. When you play fissure missions, you collect your 10 reactant in the mission, and you get certain amount of traces + open your relic. If you don't have a relic, doing the fissures missions is also fine but why not get a prime part as well (using your relic).

Interesting you mention this. On my main account on PS4, someone wanted a maxed Heavy Caliber for around 45p. Upon seeing I had almost 400k endo, and 7 Heavy Calibers in my storage, I maxed one and sold it. Probably could've gotten more for it, but...considering I regularly do activities which offer a good amount of endo, it was really an easy choice. I'm already making back what I used to max that mod, so...almost feels like a free 45p.

Yes, it was trade chat. And I have over 1k plat from a previous Prime Access. Not looking to be rich from most trades, and none of this has been a brag of any magnitude. I have tons of everything I gave the person. Wasn't any big deal.

Im looking forward to you unlocking helminth and being pikachu face how noob-unfriendly those resource costs are. They really didnt think about how much resources some MR8 who just unlocks it is going to have to waste. At least some curve that starts at 1/5 per feed for low ranks or scaling with MR would make it a lot easier.
They're only "noob unfriendly" if you spend EVERY single waking moment Helminthing every Frame in your inventory, and for new players, that's absolutely NOT necessary. Plus, the costs are right there in view, complete with a dummy easy GREEN and RED arrow system, and there's a variety of different resources to utilize. It's pretty easy to interact with. Even if you run out, not hard to find others to help farm for things, or point you to good sources.
Honestly, it was HILARIOUS to me how so many Warframe vets cried utter crocodile tears when the devs said "this is for experienced players, so MR15," then walked it back to MR8 because, ya know...a community lamenting and cringing how much "grind" there is WANTS new players to be FORCED to grind another 7 arbitrary MRs just to clear out their inventory of base Warframes, some of which they may have upgraded to Primes already.
But sure, hate the grind but force it on others. The duality of a fandom at its best...
@@RedShadowOfSaturn what that sentiment doesnt realize, is that using the system actually isn't primarily about the frames subsumed but the infusions into other frames that also costs resources. If you have resources to experiment on frames then its actually useful. The MR isnt part of the problem either because its not always indicative of how much someone farms. There is no valid argument that it would be worse to experiment with if there was some beginner feed cost reduction, perhaps related to how many times they infused instead of the rank because the first ranks are rather fast to farm with a few subsumed.
I used to be mr 18 and just bought plat with irl money to get all of this stuff. Just got back into the game and started a new f2p account and it is so fun to actually learn and grind for things

As a players whos new (mesa limbo resurgence started) i found this really easy since theres also people who are a high mr willing to get corrupted mods. I made around 200 plat and already having mesa/ivara and now baruuk prime and it all started from farming vaults. The game easy it just needs you to have determination. (Already saving plat for wisp prime )

Hey stalker showed up for me as well when I was working on this farm. I don't think the keys affect that mechanic, as I just deleted him with a 123.
Only game that I have to look up everything on how to play this game. The most CONFUSING game I've ever played. No information guide or direction just throw you out there and wish you good luck.
I main my operator for these ,the keys dont effect your them. Doing this for awhile actually made me quite proficient with the operator

Bruh... these mods seemed so strong to me that I always thought it was an endgame thing to farm... (or only in steel path) lmao I am mr 7 and today a lower mr player asked me if I wanted to farm corrupted mods with him. I was confused x)

I was confused af since I was trying to look for where the derelict keys were at to go there in the first place and turns out it's now called deimos I spent 300 hours in the game and I did not realise this

I started my own dojo due to trust issues from other games around similar systems.
I already build some all the rooms that you can research things.
So the capture mission takes what key . I remember each mission took a certain key .example bleeding was the extermination mission.
So now if you find a door then it might be a crap shot if you don't take all keys . 🤔
