Every summer, the South Dallas Cultural Center offers a 5 week program filled with fun, culture, and art education called "Summer Arts at the Center". Our theme for 2017 is “The Middle Passage”. Using African centered arts - vocal and digital music, architecture, dance, drumming, photography, creative dramatics, film, gardening, creative writing, storytelling, yoga, drawing and digital art - students will focus on the horrific journey that brought enslaved Africans to the Americas.
