Great Review as usual!! I've been maining the mm712 since release, fantastic mice, they did upgrade everything from the mm711 and quality on my copy feels amazing just as you describe it! Have no complains about it, love the shape. The battery life is kinda low, like 30 hours I think, provided cable is actually great I've played with it plugged in and was smooth. $70 usd don't sleep on this one guys
Such an S tier shape and they improved it so much but did not change the stupid ass button design. The right mouse button pinches my finger every time it’s clicked based on how I grip the mouse. This was a huge complaint about the mm710 as well.
I'm jealous but glad someone had the guts and pockets to take the plunge. I nearly bought a pair too based off the stellar reviews, but now that all the limited number of sets are sold... It's a little too late I guess haha. I was saving for a pair of Focals, and was so tempted by the Ultra's... I just found it hard to spend so much on a pair of IEM's 😅. Enjoy them my friend.
@@lazyreuvin thanks I own a pair of focal utopias but I’ve been on a huge iem hit lately. Hoping the hype was real especially at the price. These will be my new travel go to pair. Seems like IEMs do this limited run quite a bit. Tia Forte Blanc for instance is 1/500 right now. A bit different price point but a lot of people basically said it’s almost a rerelease of the Tia Forte Noir which was also a limited run so maybe dunu will do something similar with the ultra. 🤞🏼
It's been a while but I still have to say this - a perfect video for a lunchtime watch at the office! Still happy with the Viper Mini and recently scored a good priced GPX :D so yeah, no plans for upgrading/changing mice as of now
You gonna do a review or on those moondrop voids in the background of the video? Or are you going to wait for the updated version? Great video by the way, excited to see a Ninjutso Sora review if you have one planned
@@knavishknack7443 Yah I feel that, it’s a good mouse but it’s loses some of what the mm720 offered which is the weight + shape combo. You can’t have that shape without a light weight, just doesn’t feel the same
Would you also review the MM311 as well. they released the same time, its battery based but only weighs 77g with aaa battery or 69g with lithium, similar to the orochi v2, and also uses kailh 4.0 switches too.
Been enjoying it for a few days now, i just to lower my sensitivity a bit to compensate with the higher sensor placement. My only gripe with it is the stiff mousewheel click. It's freakin stiff on my copy. I'm having a hard time pinging in apex legends. Dunno if it's my copy or I'm used to mice with super spammy mouse 3. I hope it loosen up soon. Hoping to get a precut griptape soon for this mouse.
Hey @FreshReviewsYT. I've recently came back to give the MM712 another chance. I gave up using since it messed up my aim when I change to another mouse on my current "main" rotation. With my other mice, I can instantly switch to them without any issue. With the MM712, I seem to overshoot a bit unless I force myself to use an aggressive claw grip. Might be the high sensor placement? Anyway, since you also mainly play Apex Legends like me, I chose to ask this from you. I've another issue encountered with the MM712. Does your middle mouse click register while holding down the right mouse button? I notice it every time I try to ping while zoomed in while on dive or while holding my ADS. Even If I repeatedly spam the mouse wheel, It doesn't register unless I let go of the right mouse button. Is it possible that there is a switch input conflict between the optical switches of the main clicks VS the mechanical switch for the scroll wheel or possibly a firmware issue? I never experienced this when I was still using the Viper Mini. Hoping to hear back from you soon. Great job on your videos. BTW, anyone else in the community also encountering this with their copy of the MM712?
I picked up the MM712 last week. Overall it's pretty nice to use, but nothing stellar. I didn't really notice the further forward sensor. On mine, the back and forward buttons have a ton of post-travel and will keep going into the mouse body as far as I can push them. It's my finger limiting how far they go, not the mouse. It feels really mushy and awful to use those side buttons. I do like the size of the mouse and the Bluetooth functionality, so it'll probably live in my laptop bag for use with my Macbook.
should I buy it if I use wireless headphones and my wi-fi router is near my PC, so my previous wireless mouse had some drop signals? I'm afraid it's going to be the same with this mouse
Fresh I really like the blue on the new raptgo hook x I want to get them over the green but want to know if they are to different to the point it is worst for gaming compared to the green pair
@@FreshReviewsYT why’s that ? Couldn’t see a difference , the Ifi be the slightest bit more clear and I adore the true bass and the Bala fed input is a killer feature as I don’t need Bluetooth
I'm deciding between this and the pulsar xlite v2 which are very different mice but I've heard from techne that the pulsar feels like there is nothing in your hand but the mm712 has a more weighty feeling to it due to it being smaller. Would you have a similar impression of the two?
I wouldn't say it has a more weighty feeling. They are in fact two very different mice so it's u; to you whether you want ambi or ergo but imho for that price point mm712 is an absolute steal.
I heard the switches are hot swappable in this mouse, would u be able to put mechanical switches in this mouse , like huano blue pink dots and ttc golds? or is it limited to optical switches only
Thanks for the info. I am leaning towards getting this mouse as a replacement for a defective G102 Light Sync. It's a shame that for review we didn't get to hear how the switches sound though.
I’ve only been getting around 20 hours with RGB at 50%. Seems really low to me and I fully charged it before using. Wondering if it’s closer to the advertised 80 hours with the RGB off.
@@FreshReviewsYT hmmm okay, I wanted to know cause I had trouble with the Viper Mini for example. I found myself VERY often accidentaly clicking on RMB, the mouse became practically unusable for me and I hat to put it down so I'm worried the same would happen for the MM712. Maybe I got a faulty Viper Mini but damn that RMB was REALLY sensitive. Anyways I already ordered the MM712 it so I'll reply in a few days telling about my experience :P. Today I've got the G Pro Superlight and I feel like it's the perfect actuation force so that's why I specifically asked u about that :)
@@FreshReviewsYT :( So that's a no go for me probably. I've already felt X2 mini buttons too light, still missedclicked rmb after a week of use. My lmb broke so I've returned it. It also might have been too small for me. Then I've tried M42 (again scroll wheel broke so I've returned it) It was really nice but I have one problem with the shape, the wide back hits my hand meats really hard, limiting my movements, however I aimed pretty well with it. Now I don't know what to buy, there is not many options for me. I'd like to have mouse with viper mini hump, and M42ish front half and wireless. I somehow like Rival 110/Aerox 3 shape but I don't like sensor placement and at the same time I'd like to try something new. My handsize is 18.5x10cm.
is not comparable to the Atlantis imo, Atlantis is way bigger, larger and wider, flatter on the front. comparing it to the x2 makes more sense, x2 is larger and wider (width is wrong imo) the mm712 fills the back of your palm a bit more while the x2 feels flatter in your hand. The butt is a bit bigger on the 712, like rounded and wider, so is shorter with bigger butt.
But in all seriousness, what a step up from the MM731 experience, I think my only issue with the mouse so far have been the stock skates. Post/pre travel on the back side button. Other than that it feels really good in hand 😮

That low-key flex of Thieaudio Oracle MKII though.. Damn.
No flexing. But, yea they’re great 👍🏽
Great to see a new mouse release that's below $US100 for once
Waiting for the MM720 wireless. Ditch the rgb coz I'd like it to be as light as the wired one.
Check out the Xenics Titan GE Air, it’s a wireless clone of the MM720. Albeit a good bit heavier which is noticeable between the two
@@kimjongpoontv69 Yea the weight was my main gripe. I don't mind the holes.

Weird. I have rgb on and I just had to charge it yesterday for the first time. I alternate mice though but I’d say I had at least 60 hours on it
20 hours with rgb is pretty good, that means 50+ hours with rgb off.
It has rgb, im sold
Had to lower my dpi from 800-600 with this mice so it’s not too fast
Could be the forward sensor that makes it feel a bit faster.
