Wait a minute !!!!!!!!!!!!!! Zucchini flowers can be harvested and eaten I have zucchini envy BIG TIME... In Ga - I get a gorgeous plant- fabulous flowering, 2 zucchinis and the squash bugs destroy EVERY SINGLE YEAR..... So jealous !!!!!

Excellent haul. Loved the train in the beginning. We lived next to a track many years ago. I sure miss it. It took a long time to adjust to not being next to it. Almost could not sleep without the horn and the click clack of the wheels on the track.

My tomatoes did surprisingly well this year too considering the cold wet spring start we had here in upstate NY!! I also love the little secondary broccoli heads! My cukes did not fair well either but I had an abundance of green beans, now stored away to enjoy this winter!! I am inspired by your videos!! Have you guys done any work with companion planting systems? Similar to the Native planting of the three sisters together? I have had great success growing carrots among my tomatoes! I have a small yard with one raised bed so I try to maximize my use of space , but space does not seem to be an issue for you lol!! I love to see all of your improvements and modifications!! I love watching your videos. I've actually binged watching them! I just watched the video on harvesting and preserving herbs. Many herbs can be harvested and hung to dry but I've never seen one doing this with basil. Is there a reason it could not be done? Iknow basil leaves are extra sensitive but what would prevent me from hanging them to dry?
Your grapes look fantastic! I'm glad to know if my tomatoes don't ripen, I can take them in and let them finish ripening inside. There are so many on the plants this year and I don't want to lose them.
It’s hard to tell from the video, are the green beans planted outside the cattle panels? Have you ever done squash to climb up cattle panels like that? Thinking it would be a space saver. Love your videos!!

Josh - Could you go through some of the garden tools/supplies you use - and maybe some suggestions as to where to get them? Like the cattle panels, where? What size? (I love the tunnel!) and maybe how much is too much to pay - the one's I can find are quite pricey. The ground cover etc... And what you plan to put into place for the watering system and how. Mother nature dropped a tree on my garden this year and destroyed everything. My que to start fresh I guess!
What kind of okra did you try? It also should be in the sun more - anywhere you have lots of sun and heat. if you didn't use this one, try Clemson spineless, it is an heirloom and starts producing at about 10 inches high. Heat is what you are missing though. Plant on the south side for sure. It grows great here in North Alabama.
Nice ! Was a late start here in ontario canada. Ill be having fried green tomatoes it looks. And some smaller cucs. But got quite a few nice cucs and some amazing off the vine beefsteak tomatoes. Here its sooo nice having tomatoes with actual taste ! A nice deep red inside too ! Just did a small raised bed garden this season. Its been many years. Next season im going to go alot bigger and plant early. Ill start plants inside come early spring. Great lifestyle. Enjoy your posts. Thank you. Cheers from canada. Hey! You mentioned how you love Okra, and doesnt do well at your place! I have a suggestion for you! I am growing ,even, as I speak Okra in plastic mop buckets from dollar tree and galvanized foot tubs and various pots and one 7 gal grow bag.It has gotten abt 5 1/2 - 6 1/2 ft tall!! I m harvesting off my 8 plants abt 7 pids every other day right know zbt 2 nd week of harvesting! If you want Okra , grow in containers!! Wat3r dvery morning , miracle gro every other week 1-2 Tbs per gal of water, after plants get abt 1 ft tall ! Make sure to put drain holes in bottom of pots tubs ,or buckets! I have 10 plants! Good luck!

How many freezers, how many jars do you can? I’m a small (1 person) homestead in the UK, and just wondering how you get it all settled away. And what happens if you don’t have enough to process at harvesttime? Hiya!! Great Job!! I am interested in learning more about tomatioe's..I have never heard of them before. My cucs also did not do so well this year and my tomatoes are just now turning red. We have already had a light frost so fingers crossed the garden can finish up before a hard frost sets in. Would love to see a video on your seed saving techniques I already do the obvious ones but not sure about the beets and such.
Hi Susan! "Tomatillo" is the spelling and hopefully will help you in your search. They are pretty straight forward to grow, with few pest and weed issues. The purple variety store longer than the larger green variety. Do keep in mind they are not self-pollinating, so you'll need at least two plants. Good luck and hope you have tons of delicious salsa in your future!

I was so late this year and I have tons of fruit but none are ripe yet and we have already had 2 nights of frost which I covered and they made it through but won't be long before the big frost comes up here in ON, so am very interested to save my green tomatoes???

Plante_N_ Seeds, my friend would wrap in newspapers and put into boxes to ripen. Had tomatoes in November for deer camp.

We used the beans tunnel for years but never thought to grow cabbage in the shade. Great idea.
