Gosh.. She is my favorite writer ever! I spent my childhood reading her books in 87's til 90's!! My favorite are Children from Bullerbyn, Emil, Pippi Longstocking, Madita and Lotta! ❤❤ My late father used to stocked us with her series books! It was very pleasant time for us especially during the school holiday. We collected all series. We were living in Indonesia and at that time Gramedia was the only book store who has translated all foreign children books into Indonesian language. My sister and I were definitely having the best childhood memories with her books! Thank you Astrid Lindgren! We love you! ❤❤❤❤
Astrid Lindgren is certainly the best author for kids. We had so much fun reading her books. I started to read them when I was about ten. But even now I consider it is such a pleasure to reread them and share the joy with children.
I am not swedish i only saw pippi as a kid and it stuck with me into adult life then I started looking into her other stuff and nothing else Iike the films based on her stories transport me back to being a kid. I really love bullerbyn and madicken stories.
I'm an American. There used to be a lot of Swedes in the USA, Minnesota. Not so much anymore, as there used to be.... But I fondly recall my mother telling me a bit about the story of Pippi Longstocking. My mother died from a small airplane crash when I was nine... So it might be nice to visit this Pippi Longstalking story and see what she was talking about. It seemed to be a beloved story from HER childhood. ♥️ Thank you for sharing this video.
Vår underbara Astrid! De fantastiska böckerna och filmerna lever för alltid. Hoppas att få träffa dig i Nangijala, sitta och prata och diskutera om allt möjligt. 🌹
My favourite author when I was 8-9. I haven't read all of her books, but maybe they weren't all translated into Polish yet or my libraries didn't have it. This is the first time I have seen an interview with her. I guessed the answer to the last question - what she wishes for the world. One day I want to have a character named Astrid, it's a lovely name. Only yesterday I found out her middle name was Anna.
Astrid Is Such A Wonderful Person I Love All Of Her Books My Favorite Book Of Her is Madita But Astrid Is Kind And She Always Cared For People She Is a True Icon
I don't know if you'll ever read this... I thank you for giving me the ability to dream as a child . I'm 43 years old now and I still cherish Pipi Long stocking 🙏❤️
I'm sorry for being 2 years late but she passed away in 2002 at 95 years of age. I am from the small city of Vimmerby like her and I remember as school children in 2007 we celebrated what would have been her 100th birthday.
If you heard her in spoken swedish you would say she is THE grandmother of all children. She talked so calm and wonderfull. Even if she seems to know english she struggles to find the rigth words. She sounded more warm and kindly in swedish. The conversaitons got so much deeper.

Love, love, love her
Amazing how she was born in like 1920 and can speak good ass english
Most older Scandinavians speak fluent english and many even some german.
ThePatatonga nah its rare to have ppl over 60 with good english tbh my grandma is like 84 and cant say a single word i english
I think scandinavian schools always had good basics and tv is always in original language. That helps.
@@ThePatatonga many of them better at german than english.
Speaking English is normal in most Scandinavian nations english is a second language. As well as Iceland, When this Covid is over you need to travel.
Thank You for all good books!

Thanks.
Великая женщина!
I find P¡ppi to be a brilliant Asperger creative. A particular brilliant mind I’ll always love and never forget.🥰
Happy 114th Birthday!
Her book Ronjarovarsdotter changed my life
she talk better english than most older swedish people
She's a lot sterner than I pictured her haha, but her great kindness comes through in her wonderful books :))

I just watched the movie: Becoming Astrid.
When was this interview actually conducted? It is wonderful to hear and see Astrid's voice and personality!
I’d say sometime in the 80s, maybe early 90s

2:42 wow I’m 16 and I don’t even remember how it was
"Thank you honey, thank you verry moutch"
Great woman
När var det här? When was this interview?
Dom pratar om att den andra filmen om Bullerbyn precis har kommit ut, alltså borde det vara 1987
Hi guys! Do you know the date of the video? I mean, around which year?
i think about 1990, but not so sure, maby just 1970, she was born 1907 and died 2002 94 ears old so...
Probably 1987, they're talking about the second movie about the children of noisy village and that came out in 1987
Här sitter man kl fem i nio på kvällen den 10 januari år 2021 och kollar på en engelsk intervju med Astrid Lindgren.
