Bilal Abbas Khan is a very versatile actor… He is good at his craft. He can speak volumes with his eyes… Iam from India. Watched first ever Pakistani drama of Bilal 3 months ago, watched all his shows and he earned me as a fan with his talent.
Sardar jee’s reaction is incredibly endearing - this was my reaction the first time I heard it, too. The tune is magical and Ahmed Jahanzeb’s surr and ley is just marvellous. That tiny hint from ‘Zara Zara mehekta hei’ is perfect. A beautiful piece!
Bilal Abbas Khan, the male lead in this is Pakistan's most versatile and finest actor of recent times. Watch any project of his and you wont be disappointed. Orungreza, Cheekh, Pyaar K Sadqay and now this Ishq Murshid are one of the best performances given by any actor in PTV dramas in recent times. He does selective but quality work only so u also wont see him in commercial projects like Tere Bin etc or typical Pakistani Ramdan romcoms like Suno Chanda. Also he is very reserved and private also and not like other celebs/actors who you might have seen here and there in interviews, chat shows on social media even outside dramas.
I have watched 50+ Pak Dramas. Initial days (2015is) used to be very selective. These days not so much. Probably watch 10 dramas per year now. Now, I also abandon mid-way if feel done. E.g. I could never go past first couple of episodes of Rangreza. Tried a few times. Loved Pyar Ke Sadquay though and fell in love with Bilal, Yumma and Rana. In fact was stunned by the handsome ness of Rana and was like how come Pakistan has an actor with George Clooney like handsome ness! Some of the best I have watched like 10 times (e.g. Sadquay Tumhare). It used to be my ritual to watch Sadquay Tumhare at least once a year. Some of my other favorites/ top N pak dramas. Hamsafar (My initiation into Pak Dramas and falling in love with Mahira and Fawad Khan. 2014 Fall) Zindagi Gulzar Hai (2015 Jan). Had tough time getting past the first episode probably because the heroine is so atypical. Then inse past 2nd episode was completely mesmerized so much so that finished some episodes while driving daily one hour commutes in the evening. (I live in the US). I have watched this 10+ times. Is so good. Khaani - 2020 November. Episodes 2-13 are simply brilliant. Firoze Khan is amazing in them. Plus loved their Chemistry- Feroz and Sana Amzad. Diyar-e-Dil. Summer 2017. Have watched 10+ times. Loved Wali and his grandpa, their whole family. Many more but these are some of my top 10is.
U must watch Durr e Shehwar by Umera Ahmed. Looks like a typical story portraying the difficulties faced by a married girl especially when she moves from a well off background to an average middle class family. What I find so mesmerizing about that story is the bond between the girl and her father who keeps writing her letters to encourage her that you can do anything. I literally cried with Sanam Baloch who played the lead in this drama.
