Prog pretty much died by 1978. Some bits left. By the early 80s all went pop or disbanded, including Peter, Genesis, Yes and others. That's the facts. Still I like Genesis pop stuff.
It's a pity because Gabriel's onstage persona was unique and at the same level as the music. He didn't really interfere with the music. He was the driving force of the band. Ironic the publicity and the media then when you're talking about one of the best bands ever.
Phil, Tony and Mike are the Holy Trinity for Genesis. They are THE BEST and still remain THE BEST in 2022. Thanks from Paris.
Better with Steve & Peter.
Handsome Phil
I love all Phil Collins his interviews from the 1970s 1980s and 1990s his music everything even with Genesis.
Same here. Phil and Genesis are Amazing!
Giants of music. My favorite band ever.
I love Phil
Peter's and then Steve's leaving was one of very rare cases, where all of the members remained good friends.
Phil had different image every year in 1970s.
Pop would soon make its presence.
There was still progressive rock as well

Phil much better without the heavy beard.
