Not objecting your comment but the Bible did not say “render heart not garment” it said “rend your heart and not your garment” which was for the people in the Bible who was tearing off their clothes because of their sins. God was saying to go fix your heart and stop tearing off your clothes.
Also, as it relates to friendships, the seed is being planted and it is the hope that one day they will accept God as their personal savior. We have to meet our worldly friends where they’re at as God met us in that way.

Ask the Lord to prepare you for marriage. In your waiting, get involved in a physical church, serve diligently in a ministry (the one God has called you to), serve in a church ministry and contribute to the Body of Christ. When you are ready to marry, you can accept invites to meet someone over something small and/or very public. Just save your emotions for last. There’s a lot more that comes with courting, being engaged, and getting married that people really don’t know about until they are actually doing it. Being ready for marriage will give you the endurance to last during those seasons. Don’t run it down lol please

I decided to make a drastic transition in my attire, based on what the Lord showed me He requires of us and THAT WAS WHEN persons started saying “are you a christian?”, “I didn’t know you were a christian?!” and I’m like ???👀👀😭, and these are persons I passed daily to work but I understood tbh.

Girlll, I feel you with the whole dress situation 🥹🫶🏽 (this is a little bit long, please stick through it 🥹🥹🥹🙏🏽) Lemme share my exp w/ you. We all have to start somewhere in our walk. We won’t immediately stop doing certain things, we won’t immediately be convicted about certain things. You have persons who say they’re not convicted about excessive partying for eg & that’s in the bible, some aren’t convicted about abstinence & that’s biblical too. But in reading the NT, I can see that if the apostles had to speak against certain things (formication, adultery, etc), it means it was present amongst the brethren. So we aren’t ALWAYS walking the way God wants us to, but the aim is to constantly be transformed by the renewal of our minds through Christ and to not be conformed by the world. So in maturing in the Lord, I was able to see that there’s a difference the Lord wants to have between us and the world. From experience, I NEVER used to get convicted about my attire because I’m like, God doesn’t care about that. It wasn’t until I got deeper and did more fasting and prayer, I started getting convicted. Like, I’ll take up a short/bodycon dress and I got that feeling in my stomach like “nope, put it back”, until I chose something less revealing and the feeling goes away. It happened more than once. Sometimes I’d disobey because I see other christians doing their own thing, who seem more mature than me. Until He literally started showing me the standard He has. I don’t wanna get in details here but when I say literally, I mean like coming to me in dreams and showing me “this is how i want my people to dress.” That didn’t come immediately but I was persistent until eventually He started showing me clearly. I was mind-blown and also a little scared because I didn’t know if I was ready to make that full transition but He gave me the courage. Based on what He’s showing me, He doesn’t desire for us to be revealing with our bodies. It’s a part of being holy “be ye Holy as I am holy, without holiness, no one can see the Lord” 1 Peter 1:16 , Hebrews 12:14 Another thing He showed me is that it causes others to lust. Some persons may think that the opposite sex should control their urges but be fr lol, if we truly love our brothers & sisters in Christ we’d look out for their best interest (the bible says we shouldn’t tempt our brothers/sisters and cause them to stumble), that’s a part of love. Use the Olympics for example, idk but chileeee, the men and their tights and thighs etc., I’m sure it caused some of us to look twice 🫠 (unwillingly) and they were even showing MORE than that🤭. If they wore looser and longer other shorts then .. you get me? Less to get tempted or to incite lust. Remember as you lust, you immediately commit a sin. That aside though, it starts in the heart so God has to work on our hearts, that’s where it’s started for me and that’s why the transition wasn’t bad, because I’ve always been asking Him to change my heart and to make me into the person He wants me to be and to show me the things I need to change. As I saw myself more and more as His child AND most importantly also His temple (for the body is the temple of God and so we should honor Him with our bodies - 1Corinthians 6:19&20), the changes were easier. Because our body is literally where the HS dwells now & should be a representation of Him, and so why be exposed or naked in public? Another thing I remembered while typing this is I also had another dream where He basically told me that style of dressing is for “whores”. I was a little offended but when I did some research on it I saw that for “pencil skirts” the concept was to make them as tighttt as possible to show up all your figure. I was like wow, because I didn’t know that was the intent behind it and then I started feeling convicted. I didn’t necessarily wear that type of clothing to show shape, but that was the intent of the designer and that’s completely opposite to the heart of God and modesty. Girl, you see when I made the change as well, I had attacks from the devil, where someone randomly in a dream was giving me back some of my old clothes that I discarded. Towards the end of the dream, God told me “that’s what the devil wants, he wants you to go back to your old way of dressing.” I was like wow, and even then I became more determined and intentional about my attire. I’m not saying the longer your clothes are and the less revealing the more holier lol, cause of course you can still have a dirty heart and still sinning in other ways but it definitely contributes to you being holy and modest as well. Just as how, not because you’re a preacher means your lifestyle reflects that, it’s the same way. But it y’all starts in the heart. So I suggest asking God to work on your heart and to open your eyes so you can see things in the way He sees it. That’s what I’ve made my constant prayer, and because of that, I keep growing each day. I’m definitely not the same Christian I was a year ago worse two years ago. The aim is to keep growing until you’re complete in Christ. ❤️

I was like wow, because I didn’t know that was the intent behind it and then I started feeling convicted. I didn’t necessarily wear that type of clothing to show shape, but that was the intent of the designer and that’s completely opposite to the heart of God and modesty.
Girl, you see when I made the change as well, I had attacks from the devil, where someone randomly in a dream was giving me back some of my old clothes that I discarded. Towards the end of the dream, God told me “that’s what the devil wants, he wants you to go back to your old way of dressing.” I was like wow, and even then I became more determined and intentional about my attire.
I’m not saying the longer your clothes are and the less revealing the more holier lol, cause of course you can still have a dirty heart and still sinning in other ways but it definitely contributes to you being holy and modest as well. Just as how, not because you’re a preacher means your lifestyle reflects that, it’s the same way.
But it y’all starts in the heart. So I suggest asking God to work on your heart and to open your eyes so you can see things in the way He sees it. That’s what I’ve made my constant prayer, and because of that, I keep growing each day. I’m definitely not the same Christian I was a year ago worse two years ago. The aim is to keep growing until you’re complete in Christ. ❤️

P.S Something is actually wrong with putting ourselves first. It goes against everything the Bible teaches and the Christ-like mentality.
