    This is how I did it today, but on a small incline at around 60 degrees.. I focused on Jonny's cues like always and went for slow and controlled reps for good mind-muscle connection 💪

    From what I’ve heard is it’s good to do fast controlled concentric and then slow controlled on the eccentric for the given muscle group. This allows you to build those fast twitch fibers while also stretching the muscle fibers and increasing the time under tension. Such as what Jonny seems to be doing

      “Then do a slower push on the weigh up *if u want to*” seems like he’s not doing or promoting what ur saying

    • @Dewabarasunderan
      @Dewabarasunderan ปีที่แล้ว

      You can not *build* fast muscle fibers. It's genetically predetermined how many you've got.

    I love your videos but what’s the benefit from doing a slow contraction. Imo always be explosive on the contraction to activate and develop your fast-twitch muscle fibers.

    • @McDanMan84
      @McDanMan84 ปีที่แล้ว

      Maybe to establish a standard speed of a rep? But would having the standard speed be slow a good thing or just limiting the weight and therefore stress on the muscle? If you can do a slow contraction can’t u therefor add more weight, which is the best and easier way to track progressive overload anyways?

    • @McDanMan84
      @McDanMan84 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Imo you shouldn’t ever be actively trying to do a slow contraction. Only if your goal is to be to increase mind muscle connection in a lagging area.

    I’m a heavier set kind of guy, prob like 30% or more, so I’m not sure if this has anything to do with it ,but why is it uncomfortable for me to bring it all the way down to my chest, I usually stop at the chin and go right back up because that seems to be comfortable for me.
    I feel like bringing it all the way down to my chest each time, to me, for my body, feels like an over stretch or it feels like I’m about to hurt something if I go all the way down on each rep

    Perfect technique. The thing is that I train it with barbell standing up. I guess I could change to this exercise every now and then, couldn't I?.
    Thanks!

    • @wyldeyouth
      @wyldeyouth ปีที่แล้ว +1

      standing up is way harder and trains more muscles. but if you wanna focus on delts and upper pec instead of including more of the serratus anterior then do them sitting down.
