So gang the real story on the Hulk 181 that sold on E-Bay is as follows….that book was at 3750 then 3950 until the last 30 seconds, I put in a max bid of 8k (way high but threw caution to the wind as I’m a MJ freak) figuring I didnt want to pay more than 4-5 but at this point didnt want to risk getting outbid. I was outbid in the final seconds to 8100 and the winning bidder had no feedback making me think something shady was going on and that the seller was bidding here on their own book…long story short I’m a collector and think that’s a great book but that is an anomalous price. I was assuming I’d get the book for no more than 5k….E-bay shady-ness

Clayface could work if they adapt the story of the first Clayface from the Golden Age. Basil Karlo (a play on Boris Karloff) is an actor who was famous for his character, the masked killer, Clayface. They are re-making the movie without Karlo, but he's on set as a consultant. Bitter and crazed for not being re-cast, Karlo has taken on the Clayface persona for real and started killing those he blames for the snub. In recent years, Karlo became the more fantastical shapeshifting version ( by stealing the other Clayfaces' powers) but a version of the original story would fit.
i like that clayface book a lot,...hes gotta be one of the ultimate villains.....tomb of drac,...like the colan artwork, 181 meh,....rhino ditto, but i do like xmen 1st phoenix....and of course ff 48,...however, i collect for the art/story or bc its a key maybe, not whether or not theres a movie in the works......so my opinion may not hold much weight for your video. keep up your good work.....

Click bait! People “giving up” yet virtually all the sales show increases over 12-month averages! WTF??
I find it funny TH-cam was filled with buy now! things are exploding! don't miss out! Now it's all run the sky is falling! and Is it over? It's funny that the same people hyped comics up artificially with youtube titles, now they are driving it down with youtube titles..LOL all for the clicks. If you don't like something don't buy it just because someone says it's HOT! don't buy hype up or down. Many hyped up books are not coming back, but some books will hit a point that are a good deals. The market eventually evens out, but these titles all over TH-cam are crazy, some people are even hurting their own collections for the clicks. Eventually shock youtube titles will no longer shock anyone.

Movies do not always have a effect on book sales. Stop trying to connect them all the time. Collectors collect and only sell if they lose interest or need money. Speculators dump books if they don’t think they will get a return in the future.

I'm not sure why people have a problem with the rhino suit from amazing spiderman, I thought it was great, and made more sense than someone turning into an actual rhinoceros.
What kind of sense does that make? In the same movie you have a dude who climbs walls and swings off buildings, and another dude who can become and manipulate electricity. But a huge dude with rhino like strength is to much for you?
These drops are when you BUY, not sell, if these are comics that you want for a collection. If you're in it solely, or even mostly, for the $$$, invest in the S&P, collectibles probably aren't for you.

Well, when you guys consistently say that certain dp/wolvie books have hit the ceiling, what do you expect? I still say that after the american success of dp, we're going to get a late rush on the books in question.

I picked up low grade raw copies of Hulk 180-182 recently for $500 total. Only thing wrong with 181 was that it was missing the stamp inside. I was wondering if I got them for a good deal. If a no-cover copy of 181 sold for $989, I would say I did!

Hulk is a great series to find great first appearances, making it very difficult to complete collecting the series.
Why are people ditching Silver Age Marvels. This comic collecting category is always hot. Don't sell Silver Marvels in anger.

Listen, the major problem is DC and Marvel Bad editors bad writers not paying enough for good writers editors Et cetera . They keep rebooting their books to number 1 promising some great stories ,then putting out about 20 books to tell that saga and it's only going too cost $6 to $8 dollars for each book and on top of that extra f-you variant covers for the fans . They aren't listening to their customers instead they've been making dumb comments and insulting their customers. The customers want good stories and they are willing to pay the prices for great stories but for that to happen they have to change and go back to the basics and respect their characters and pulbic and get rid of all these hacks. Don't even get me started with the studios and the HOT MASS OF 💩 they keep pushing out . I don't want DC or MARVEL to go out of business, I want them to do better but at the same time it wouldn't surprise me if they just kept doing more of the same along with the studios. Bottom line is we as consumers have a right if they don't change or listen then cast your vote with your money and the same goes for the studios.
