Fun fact: if you dont break the grass blocks from the start, you can make a dirt road to have the grass grow to a different area, where if you have a large enough area of grass blocks far enough away, will spawn sheeps and cows for an easy early food source
The problem is.. you barely have a dirt.

Another trick could be letting an enderman pick up your grass block and killing it so that you can obtain a grass block
Little trick: you can put stone walls around the lava source, so that you'll still benefit from a light source against mob spawning, relatively speaking.
A trick which I’ve learned is that to move villagers fairly quickly you can lure them with like four composters placing them as you go and breaking them and they’ll follow the track

A good early game trick to use is that mobs only spawn on the top half of blocks. If you place the slabs so they're on the bottom half of a full block, mobs won't spawn making it so you can control where mobs can and can't spawn
This was bugging me the whole first half of the video he never even considered it
In early game that's a good idea, but if you light everything up, you can also control spawns, but the wandering trader can still spawn. And he is actually useful in skyblock.

idk if you did this further in the video because i’m only ten minutes in but i would suggest putting hopper where the mobs land in the mob farm so your inventory doesn’t get full with annoying rotting flesh

I would have guess the limitation for the enchanting table would be the lack of diamonds and not obsidian. Pretty sure Piglins drop obsidian as a trade. Unless that was added later.

If you placed the Cobblestone Slab on the Bottom part of block. It prevents Mobs from spawning. That and lighting up the place with lots of torches.

The fastest way to get emeralds is a fletcher, they trade sticks for emeralds.
A little tip if you do other skyblock stuff put the slabs on the bottom half of the block so mobs can’t spawn

I never thought of this but I would love to see a skyblock run with the temperature mod.

If i’m correct you can use villagers and breed them to get iron golems
You can make an iron golem farm with i think (if I remember correctly) 5 villagers at least
If you make another part i hope you find this information VERY useful!

They were obsidian in the starter chest, i guess because they is no other way to get it

So he got it from the starter chest, but it would be 100% viable to smelt enough golden armor for gold nuggets to get golden apples to get villagers to trade for emeralds then with a wandering trader trade for dripstone to get more lava to then make obsidian, but I can see why he didn't...

Hey, i wanted to thank you. I found out about skyblock from camman18, and it was this that mainly taught me how to play. Sure, you play a modern version, and i play classic on modern editions (so i may get a wandering trader) but this is what taught me important things like how to get an infinite water source. And how to get villagers. So thank you, poppers, you as well have made an impact on my life, at least for now
