Finneas wasn’t “famous” for Glee, he was just on glee as a love interest on a couple of episodes. Nobody in the family was “famous”, they were working actors (cameo kinda roles) and teachers (like music teacher, improv teacher, aerial dance teacher) and set builder, carpenter etc. Finneas was in a not really that noteworthy band, and like his parents did some working actor type roles. The advantage Billie had was less so because of “connections” but more so because of how she was raised and where she lived. They were both homeschooled, and she got to do classes in things she was interested in from an early age (like dancing, choir, etc). And being in LA meant that one naturally leans into the industry here and there even just as working teachers and actors and carpenter and whatnot. But yeah, I’d definitely say they had an advantage, but it’s not the typical stuff, it’s the fact that the parents were had instruments lying around everywhere (I grew up like that as well), and having such a loving and healthy, supportive family dynamic that encouraged creativity and exploration from day one. That’s the advantage, really.
They did a listening party for the release of the album, where they basically pressed play and just vibed and hung out with that massive crowd, that’s what those videos were of, just them filming each other during the release as they jumped and walked around to the music.
Finneas helped on this album but on the Apple Music interview with Zane Lowe for this album both herself and Finneas said she did A LOT of this album on her own. Finneas said he was getting tired of writing music and she got left alone to do a lot of production and writing on this album because Finneas got frustrated and basically said he couldn’t write about how she was feeling as a grown woman. Great reaction ❤️❤️❤️
Really enjoyed your review. Agree with your comments about mature lyrics and depth of music talent. Look forward to your review of her previous albums. Don't forget the in-between songs too. Those also won Grammys, Globes, and Oscars. My fav of that bunch is Everything I wanted. By the way Billie wanted to be a pro dancer and was training competitively when she had a career-ending injury to her growth plate. I think their education at home had a lot to do with their success in music and songwriting.

Yes the other two are amazing as well as even her EP. From the get go the lyrics and the production are so bloody good
Definitely looking forward to checking out her other records!

That's actually really cool i love that she did so much of the writing. It shows it feels so raw

Oh i that is interesting about her dancing! I was surprised at how good she was!
I guess this should be titled review and not react. This is not a reaction, but a review of the album 😁
This is cool and all, but this should be labelled a "review" instead of a "reaction"
