Personal yes but there needs to be some kind of training involved so anglers know how to treat the fish and what takle needs to be used Im at sea 3-4 times a week in Falmouth aand there are thousands of tuna out there
Yes I agree. Maybe there could be a course you could attend and once you've completed it and can prove you have the right vessel and equipment, then you can get yourself a license to fish for them. This would stop anyone going for them without any experience... I'm not sure but just a suggestion.
Get out in your boat around the back of the Isle of White plenty of shark action out there. Nice to see you all got into them but as to a free for all on the Tuna I don't know, I would love to go out and catch from my own boat but there are a lot of people who would take advantage of it and the care of the fish might not be at the forefront of every anglers priority.
Hello mate, thanks for the comment. Yes this is something I would like to do, as I feel this is the closest place from where I am moored (Shoreham). Yeah I agree, I feel if they were allow anyone to catch them there should be some training you must do in order to go for them. Maybe anyone can get a license if you have the correct vessel, correct training and correct gear. Something like that may work.
Do you think we should be able to fish for them without a license? Leave a comment below 👇
