    God bless you James Mattis for your unwavering commitment to the protection of America and it's allies. Thank you Peter Robinson for years upon years of intelligent interviewing. Americans like you are what make America such an inspirational power. I hope you both continue to do what you do for many years to come.

      Remember, there had to be a waiver for him to serve, and Sect. Mattis has and continues to show himself worthy of that. He was and is the right person for Sect. of Defense right now, period. The more you hear from him and about him, the more impressed you are with him, is my observation.

      Bingo. Mattis takes his orders from the "Chief" . . . and he could care less about "inspiration" or refugees. Nice sentiment, though~~

      until he said nobody has used chemical weapons in the last 100 years.
      The syrian rebels used them then the US used it as an excuse to attack syria
      The last person who used them (besides syrian rebels) is Saddam Hussein, who was supplied with them by the USA.

      I hope our two nations never meet on the battlefield. Does your media push anti America crap all the time. Ours seems hell bent to launch us into world war three

    • @barahng
      @barahng 6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      joe Seems like Trump is going for literal world peace. First inviting Russia back to G7 and now negotiating with Kim.
      And doing his damndest to reorganize the global trade system to be more favorable to the US. I still think the allies will buckle on trade, their leaders can't take the heat from their business interests like Trump can, especially Merkel. Notice how none of them issued "retalitory" tariffs yet, just threats. They know shit like 270% duties on dairy and 10% on autos (to our 2.5%) is absurd. Wouldn't it be nice if everyone dropped their tariffs and barriers and we had true free trade? We wouldnt even need trade deals. We already tried lowering ours and waiting for the rest if the world to reciprocate, that didn't work.

    • @SaferSephiroth87
      @SaferSephiroth87 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Joe I have no worries about that. Even during the cold war we never meet on the battlefield and that will hopefully not change in the future. We got some issues to work out like Syria including Iran and the mess that is Ukraine but i am hopefull that both nations can find solutions and ways out of this spiral of hatred and madness. In fact if you look at history we actually tend to work together against a bigger threat/evil. Maybe the threat of islamic terrorism will bond us more together.
      Regarding the news in Russia. Well its not as bullshit as CNN for sure. Our MSM is not really anti US actually but more anti NATO in general. A little bit of fearmongering for domestic political usage like Mattis is explaining it in this video. Mostly consists of "NATO troops on our border = threat to our national security" blablabla.
      I personally dont believe that we have to fear the few thousands of international NATO soldiers on our border but i can understand why NATO allies feel uneasy sharing a border with a nation with a massive military like us and want additional support from US/France/Britain etc.

    I believe everything is about the principles and strategies to achieve between quicker or slower or achieve perfectly, or never achieve. Principles are fixed there and can’t be changed. The strategies are catalyst to make it happen easier or less effort and less damages. The principles are the most important things there for us to learn and follow. The strategies are the wisdom around the principles and make the principles of our country’s greatness move forward and achieve greatness forever. If our country America’s own established recognitions of the principles have brought America great, as long as we strongly and firmly follow the principles, surely we don’t have to spend more time for our own established and fixed principles, but to learn and educate often for Americans to understand more and better to cherish and follow only. Strategies are different from issues to issues, time to time, countries to countries by America’s patriotism, greatness, experience and great wisdoms. This is why I like to listen more to learn more and understand better.

    Having a strategy is essential for enabling health care and health care insurance as well. I think there is a great need to employ Gen Matis’ strategies in American politics. AEI president Arthur Brooks is boosting this course, but has not explained this compelling part of the big picture. Perhaps a round table discussion of American domestic policy is in order.

  • @treck87
    @treck87 6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Jim Mattis grew up in a straight edge wild west part of the country. Living by the honor of your word and actions is all people respect where he's from. Good, solid, smart man, like what we would like all Americans to become. We MUST have the education system change to a more tailored system based around classical ethics and principles that brought about the founding of the United States. Not this education system that forces frustrated, confused young people along a conveyor belt or random topics so that they can pray to graduate and then many have no clue where to go from there. That is not a way to make good young Americans.

    So glad he's running the defense department. He reminds me of the older generation. Americans that came back from ww2

    I would absolutely vote this man to be President of the United States. Legit has the biggest balls since George Washington himself.

    James Mattis is a man whom I would easily vote for President.
    Full of integrity and highly intelligent, and actually understands war, unlike the actual President...

    Very unfortunate that he resigned from his position. He appears to be very competent and informed about the issues relating to national defense.

    Did the cut in defense budget result in any increase of efficiency in DoD? If not then something is wrong.

    Super Mann! Eigentlich müsste es heißen „Defending the free, open and democratic societies.“ Tolles Interview. Ich finde es auch immer sehr wichtig, ganz klar zwischen einem korrupten Regime (Russland, China, Iran ...) und der jeweiligen Bevölkerung zu unterscheiden. Viele Grüße an die TH-cam-Gemeinde (übrigens in China vom dortigen Regime komplett abgeschaltet ...) aus Deutschland ❤️
