I'm a wolves fan, and I'm glad we traded for Rob because he has great talents at a young age. HE'S ONLY NINETEEN!!! He's only going to improve especially w/ Mike Conley being able to coach him. Mike doesn't play back to back games, so Rob will come off the bench and will probably get more minutes, especially because the wolves don't have a TRUE PG off the bench (someone who is able to bring the ball up the court with ease on a press and can see the floor well). Currently their backup PG is Donte, but he is more of a SG. Mike Conley will probably retire next year, so Rob will get more minutes and maybe start later in the year.

Dude, this not a problem at all. We kept Conley and drafted him so Conley could train him for a year, which is exactly what's happening. It is great for the 19 year old to sit and learn from the bench from a great teacher like Conley
They really don’t. They have a fundamentally different offense that they are installing and evolving, They have Randle and DDV and a new look Naz Reid to guy oriented and comfortable. Definitely not. By the end of the day Gobert is still one of the best defensive centers in the league. Towns has been declining he had a great career with us but we needed more depth and draft picks back after getting Dillingham.
Very true, I love Kat but we pay him like a top 10 player and he’s not a top 10 player and he’ll ask for max money again. Gobert actually is top 5 defensive player
@@shaun7739 they're playing the long game with him. While Cam Thomas is coming along nicely, he's on the last year of his rookie deal and will cost a fortune, which a team like Minnesota isn't gonna pay since they're gonna wanna get under the 2nd apron. Stop watching highlights dude! Watch the games! This is good for Rob’s development he can learn and grow and when his opportunities come he’ll shine and take advantage of it
@@cmoneyy215 what highlights he aint playing
Lay off the 2k, the timberwolves are letting him get mentored by Conley and boost up his confidence when the time comes for him.
It’s a sign of our depth! He looked great against charlottes starters
Not a problem. He is a rookie and will benefit greatly from not being forced to play early. It is the perfect situation for him and Minny. Rob will be a contributor by the end of the season. Watch
He’s a rookie, this ball club is coming off a WCF appearance he’s the future starter right now it benefits him to watch Conley and learn he’ll get minutes but look forward to the next 2-3 seasons for him. He has to get stronger and he has to improve defensively.
"but until next time"
yawn.
He reminds me of Bones Human but smaller. He's not 6'2, him and Conley are the same height. Garland's almost 6'3. Size is going to hurt him a lot.
Im sorry, since when did everyone expect rookies being drafted to contenders to actually get hella minutes? 💀
Hopefully he can develop ability to pass and see the court enough to be useful to his teammates
the random trade killed the future rotation. in my opinion; should’ve kept KAT
Their justvtrying to build team chemistry quickly. Randle, Ant and Rudy could play fewer minutes (-3), but the 10 minutes a game is needed to learn to play off each other.
He should request a trade
Can’t he a rookie
I still think Rob was better off on the Spurs with Wembyama and Chris Paul being his mentor, even though the Timberwolves needed a PG.
he should’ve went to the spurs they dumb for trading him
It was smart on there end. They got two future first rounds now. It would make more sense to develop Wemby than build a team around him even if it’s vets. It’s not like they were gon win the finals this year with Dillingham now by the time he’s developed they will have 2 first round picks in year 2030-2031
@@lotus6314Spurs didn't have the room. Trae Jones and Castle behind CP3, Rob needs a team that can develop him
@@amandswright2040 completely agree
REACH!!! YOU BE REACHING HARD for content. The only problem here is people put there own expectation on Rob when he was drafted. He is on the perfect team to develop. Yeah the Timberwolves suck at developing draft picks i mean outside of Anthony Edwards of course but yet you fail to say where these draft picks have been. Which lottery player did the wolves not develop in the 2022 or 2023 draft? He's not ready to play right now but has all the right pieces in place to develop and it's not going to get handed to him on the second best team in the West. Please tell me another lottery pick for a WCF teams the year prior you got playing time. Your click bait game is strong but no subscribe for me my guy.
The Julius Randle trade cooked rob’s playing time bc Donte atp in time does everything that rob can provide rn
This will take a few weeks to pull off with the first and second team players.
Dillingham will start getting his time soon enough.
Quality vid!
Yall always saying somebody not ready..put rob in the game and see if he not ready. Mike Conley sucks
Real ish
They sick of the fans hyping up guards I guess🤷🏾♂️ Markell, Scoot, Dennis smith, Suggs…. Funny enough Rob Smaller than all of them dudes and More skilled. He’s not hype. He’s the GOODS
the addition of DDV really caused this but it isn't an issue. the twolves are just super deep right now and want to get as many minutes into their top 8 guys as possible to get the kinks ironed out as they basically didn't have a training camp as this core unit. rob gonna start getting more minutes after ~20 games or so when the coaches have had a good look at the core group. just develop under conley and stay ready. he will get opportunities. this will help his development in the long run i feel.
Y'all keep talking about learn from Conley when he already better than Conley offensively he a star in the making and if them clowns don't wanna play him then send him to New Orleans they need him
@@supatay1181lol ok buddy
Dude it hasn’t even been 20 games RELAX!
Minnesota messing up this young man’s life dude is NBA ready shouldn’t be on the bench point blank
Pair him with Kyrie and Luka, lol. I would hate to be the defending guards with those two in the backcourt.
Finchy doesn't play rookies off the bench. That's one of his flaws as a coach.
Joe Ingles has already fallen out of the wolves rotation.
Outta the 30 teams you said his best fit would be the most guard heavy team in the league lol
They need to trust him more!
GM needs to be fired ..
For what
Haha this might take the cake for the dumbest comment
Bron should make that call 😂
Criss Finch is why he isn't getting time ...And its inexcusable
Season just started he’ll be playing more soon
It’s naive to think this tiny PG will contribute on a top 10 team. He won’t be a playoff player until his next contract.
He can learn from conley and once conley gone he good to go
Him and ant man I wanna see fr
Don't start gossip and rumors.. Conley cannot stay healthy and he's coming to the line up
I mean finch just kinda doesn’t play the young guys
Someone made this video before the last game….
They not letting him play
He will replace conley, chill we are like 8 games into the season lol
Conley has been pretty ass to start the season rob should be starting or at the very least getting some minutes but still come off the bench
LOL who cares. No rookie is ready to compete on the level the Wolves are on... or at least not at age 19. They have reliable back up PG play from Donte and Ant, so he can sit back for a while.
Mike is older now and he can’t produce like how he used to, so robs time will come soon
*way too early to be making this video..*
Too early, but but lowkey giving me Sharriffe Cooper vibes
I actually thought about the Sharife comp too. But yeah it might be too early we just have to wait and see
Shoulda traded Gobert instead of Towns…
HELL NO 😭😭
Definitely not. By the end of the day Gobert is still one of the best defensive centers in the league. Towns has been declining he had a great career with us but we needed more depth and draft picks back after getting Dillingham.
Plus we all know once Towns contact was over he was gon ask for big money.
Very true, I love Kat but we pay him like a top 10 player and he’s not a top 10 player and he’ll ask for max money again. Gobert actually is top 5 defensive player
Trade him for Caprla or Jarrett Allen lol y’all slow
Nah if they wanted an immediate impact they should’ve traded for Cam Thomas. Rob is gonna take 2-3 years
they can't afford Cam Thomas. The benefit to Rob is that he's on a rookie deal.
@bxrep19 what point are you arguing? You think Rob will help them win now?
@@shaun7739 they're playing the long game with him. Without the Towns/Randle trade, he might have gotten the last rotation spot but now they don't have to shoehorn him into minutes (and Finch only plays 8 guys, 9 at the most). Right now he's just learning from Conley and once he starts missing games, then Rob will get an opportunity to play. He just happens to be in a unique situation.
While Cam Thomas is coming along nicely, he's on the last year of his rookie deal and will cost a fortune, which a team like Minnesota isn't gonna pay since they're gonna wanna get under the 2nd apron. Dillingham is a long term investment who would be the cheapest player of the Gobert/Naz/McDaniels/Ant/Dillingham core with DiVincenzo off the bench at below market value.
@bxrep19 yeah we're essentially saying the same thing. Rob is a long term prospect but I think they made the right decision in the end. I just wouldn't expect the T wolves to compete like last year
its to early to react
Did the same thing to Tremont Waters… NBA is a joke
Very good quality on the vid bro you’re up to par with huge nba creators, but this choice of topic for the video is just pointless, it’s way too early and this is a team that just made the conference finals and is finding their rotation and chemistry, not a shocker that Rob will be the designated Gatorade bottle passer this season
Thanks for the feedback!
They drafted him just Incase conley old azz get hurt
Why isn’t coach playing him tf??
the sours shoild of drated him
Draymond Green l'analyste basket 😂😂😂😂
Nah they have a coach problem lol
He don't play cause he's a terrible defender
shifty'0-
Were less than 10 games into the season calm down. Injuries will happen and Conley won’t play every game. He’ll get minutes. And idk why people are freaking out about a team that was in the wcf not giving minutes to their super young rookie guard. This isn’t a rebuilding team why would they force him out there? He’s 19 years old it’s not a problem at all if he’s not a consistent part of the rotation this year. Yall get so caught up in the hype that you don’t actually think about it from a coaches perspective.
