My greatest concern about getting into the rental business is that people do not treat rentals as they do their own equipment. Unless you are 100% prepared to get into massive arguments with contractors that don't own their own equipment about what you see as damage, but which they see as "wear-and-tear", you're going to go under massive stress. That said, good luck with it, man.
@@maverick4220 it doesn’t mean you’re gonna get your money back and you’re gonna spend more money taking them to court. And even after that, they still don’t have to pay. Been through it here in Texas too many times. And if they decide to squat, it could take a year to get them out then they can appeal it through the courts which will push it even further back.
Hello Ryan, being a manager and accountant in Portugal, from a financial perspective, it was clearly a good decision, increasing assets and depreciating them over time, thereby reducing profits to minimize taxes. Obviously, opting for leasing was also a wise choice. Managing both businesses won't be easy; my advice is to find someone with the necessary skills and mentor them for a while to handle the new venture, as time is limited. Love from Portugal, keep up the good work and videos.
Ryan: MT100's are SUPER back heavy. You should ALWAYS back them uphill - especially without a load in the bucket. I highly recommend you back onto your trailer when loading it for transport so it doesn't roll over on you or your guys. Be safe out there and keep the content coming!

Good luck on the new business man, confidence is the key to success! You got this, 2024 is going to be crazy for a lot of us including myself diving head first into risks, but those who don’t try won’t reap the benefits. Best of luck to you in this new year!
I have learned a lot from this channel. I am newer to being a contractor and have been in some situations I would have really been in a situation if I hadn't been watching your videos! Thanks for spreading your knowledge and experience, to the guys, and to all of us.
YES!!!! Sometimes you've just got to go for it, you'll make it work Im sure. As a business owner in the UK I totally respect people putting their head above the parapet, love your videos and wish you and your family every success. You got this!
If you’re only renting to buisness owners your potential rental customers is about 20% of the rental market at least for the skidsteers. You might get fortunate and find a few contractors that rent on a regular basis but I really think your best bet is renting to diy guys also. I personally wouldn’t rent out my skidsteer but if I bought one with the intention of renting it I’d rent to whoever and I’d get rental insurance on the machine
Don’t doubt your self Ryan! I have been watching your channel a few videos before you went on the Easy Money Tour and I am motivated by everything you have done for yourself, your business, and your guys. You won’t fail because you have a lot of support behind you! I appreciate your videos!
Right on Ryan cant wait to see the progression of this rental business and your life I'm general and I think it's awesome that your setting your kids up for success as a Dad that's what we try to do for our kids so they don't have to struggle as hard as we do
Hey Ryan, you got this. You will do great. You put a lot of thought and care into decisions that are best for you, family, coworkers, and friends. Just keep your head up, and even during stressful times, you always have your loving family by your side, along with friends and fans. You are truly blessed. Things will work out even at the hardest of times.
I hope god blesses you this year and for many more years to come Ryan, you are a inspiration to us all thanks for sharing your journey with us and I'm excited to see how the new business works out much love
Ryan, congrats on your new adventure. With all the faith you have, everything will work better than you expect. You're an amazing person and the determination you have to make a successful business is out of this world. Stay blessed good sir.🎉
Ryan: I noticed in your intro, as you praised the cat, you need a dryer vent cap. Your dryer exhaust is located immediately adjacent to the sliding entry door. The 4" dryer exhaust vent pipe, if left uncapped with a "flapper door", allows rodents ( all sizes) an opportunity to gain entry to your home. You probably have this on your "to-do" list as winter is on pause right now. Best wishes for every success.
I honestly believe that you are a great business man and this actually sounds like a great decision to me.. I do have to rent equipment from time to time and prices can be pretty hefty.. a small time rental company can definitely pay for itself. The only problem I see is if you get a name for yourself the larger rental companies will most likely come knocking either to buy you out or take you down.. the buy out option usually comes with a big check which could be very beneficial for other future endeavors but when they come with the small cheque and the muscle it's never a good story to tell.
I’ve been here since the start and it’s always awesome seeing how fast your business is growing, and seeing your dedication to your employees and to your family. You are a great inspiration and it’s always a great time watching your videos.
Hey Ryan! Love the content! Just wanted to let you know with the GCVWR of that truck and trailer those guys are supposed to have a CDL A. Just don't wanna see your guys get dinged. Maybe would be a good idea to send franny and eric to CDL school. Keep up the strong work!
The rental business will succeed. Ryan you always do/give everything 100% of your effort. I have faith that it will all be fine, everything will be profitable. You always make sure to cover all your bases. Your just in your head overthinking stuff. All of this will be EASY MONEY!!!!
Hi Ryan I would not second guess yourself you are a smart guy. It is so nice to see a owner who actually has a clue to how important moral is in a company. You are really good to your employees and everyone else as well .I wish you and your family all the best Adios.
Congratulations on the new business! Any new endeavor always carries a risk, but the rewards are great. Praying for a safe and prosperous 2024 for you and the Victory Crew.
Hey Ryan, really brave move and I’m in a similar predicament for my business in 2024. It’s great that the crew knows it’ll be an important year for the business and by the grace of god I’m sure you’ll do well. Regardless, us Victorians will be here with you every step of the way. Bring 2024 on!
When I watch your videos I truly feel like part of the crew/family. I’ve been watching from the beginning and really enjoy see each and every one of you grow and flourish. Good luck to all and most importantly, I hope you all have fun.
Have you thought about renting yard space to boys with toys for seasonal storage? I'm up in Canada and here most yards are fully booked through winter seasons for travel trailers and boats. You have so much yard space available that I'm envious. Just a bit of security and you should be booked solid . A terrific passive income.
Man, it must have been a good season. Congrats on the new machines. I envy your towing rules in the US. we cant hitch anything behind a truck thats heavyer than 7500 lps
It’s really inspiring seeing you be able to get new equipment, and expand your company. You’re an awesome employer, and anyone that works for you should be very grateful. Keep up the amazing work love and watch every video!
Use your head man! You need 2 crews going. One crew sets up and the other lays the concrete. You can't micromanage everything. Take the next step your ready. The rental idea is terrible, but I'll still be rooting for your success.
Hey man great job and good luck. Rental business can go great or sideways very quickly. You just need to make sure your ducks are in a row with insurance and damage coverage. You also need to remember there will be some discretion to it working as a normal machine. With that being said. Were all here to support you and your business ventures we wish you the best of luck. I have buddys who own Rental equipment business's and I've herd alot of horror stories. So go by your gut if you feel that it's not the right person renting infront of you then be OK to turn them away. Dont say to your self well what if I turned them away or what if that. Trust your gut and know you will make it in the end. No business is easy and im sure you know that. It's the sleepless nights and the point of breaking down if you make it or break it. We're all here rooting for you. Good luck
You will be just fine Ryan, you have yet to make any bad decisions in the past, we as viewers believe you’ll be just fine. I’m looking forward to the 2024 season, may it be a profitable season for you and your team. Love the content.
What’s awesome about this channel is it shows you with steady growth, good business and good customer service you can grown your business and branch off and really do something with what you got. It’s an inspiration to young men who want to try and do what you’ve done
Congrats on the new business Ryan! I think it's a great move and expansion for you. I admit I was thinking you were going into a dumpster rental business when I saw the video of you guys installing the hitch on the Chevy. With your interest in the "Garbage Man!" and the land you have available it would be something else you could add to your rental company. Just a few trailer drawn dumpsters rented to contractors only would bring in a decent amount of money. I'm excited for the upcoming year and can't wait to watch you succeed.
This could possibly be a good idea, especially if you can find a mechanic that can work on your equipment on the side. If it becomes profitable it would definitely be a good business to run when you’re older to keep you occupied.
Dude this guys TH-cam channel has been my favorite to binge watch, there’s a story line to this guys life it pretty awesome, thanks for the enjoyment Ryan
I ran rental shop of those kind of machines in Washington state and it made 15 percent over expenses every month even the slowest months and it was great, remember God has your back and He will take care of you, with Daniel what could go wrong, no worries.
great success never came from not taking butterfly risk. the reward from a risk I have always found to be the most rewarding. good luck to you an the crew in this year!
I live in Australia and love watching your videos even late at night your videos are great and i love the work you and the team do its really inspiring
Very happy and excited for you Ryan. The new equipment will also come in handy for your new yard and all the preparations you will have to do to get the pond and the new building going. Love your channel and wish you all the best.
Good for you Ryan as we all know you have your head on your shoulders and you have been successful for many year's before TH-cam and with the new business venture I'm sure you will make it succeed as well. As long as you're beating the Competitors rates that equipment will pay for itself. Keep up the great work and I'm super excited to see your future grow.
What about stockpiling gravel in the new yard to reduce downtime durring work days. Take a load with you to the job straight from the yard. If your going to help the guys on slow days it could be a productive thing to have someone bring a few loads to the yard. Or maybe buying another dump truck and using it for demo hauling in lieu of buying more tractors. less overhead i would assume compared to payments on 4 more pieces of equipment. I mean a skidsteer rental where i work goes for around 3 to 400 a day, you could easily make that after overhead on 1 demo hauling job for another contractor or homeowner. With that being said doing demo hauling for other contractors may get your foot in the door with them for future rentals since theres probably no looking back now. Kind of like a demo of sorts.
I mean this genuinely, I hope you improve your routine maintenance habits on these new pieces of equipment. When things break and you're not only losing money on repairs, but losing income from not being able to rent them, and also from spending time away from other business ventures (concrete for ex.), the daily maintenance will become very obvious in the #1 way to keep these costs low. This means oil checks, lubrication ect.. things you admit to not really staying on top of with your current equipment. Setting up a nice washing station for this stuff would also be a nice idea. I know you also proposed this idea a couple of videos ago too with that other building adjacent to your property.
This is going to be a really exciting year to watch unfold. Ryan, from watching you for the past couple of years, it is clear that everything you start, you put 110% effort into which is why you have been so successful thus far. It was wise to seek counsel before making these decisions and I could not be happier for you.
I love the regularly scheduled videos but to keep seeing surprise videos on days there aren't supposed to be any is awesome!!! Keep up the good work/content Ryan.
Ryan I watch every video you post. I live in the Philippines and im an American also a military veteran. You keep me motivated on how your so piticular and always catch mistakes. This makes you a great Boss good person that delivers quality workmanship. So this new business venture of yours will turn out great. Sure your right there will be bumps along the way but as a concerned business owner you will do fine. Just get ready for a few more gray hairs.
No risk, no reward. It's been fun watching your growth, and it's motivational to us who have our own companies. It's too easy to find a system that works, and then stick to that system, and just be comfortable.
That’s fantastic Ryan👍 Have Faith in your abilities as a positive & fair man Your work ethics do you credit & I’m sure this year will be exciting if not a wee bit stressful for all involved👍 Let’s hope for a fruitful & busy year All the best David From Oxford England UK
Hey Ryan good luck on the new endeavor, you will be great!! This from a retired and disabled veteran. I don’t usually watch this type of content cause I was an aircraft mechanic but there is something about what and how you do you videos along with the camaraderie of your employees. Prayers to you, your family, and your crew that this new year brings great opportunities, hard work, and encouragement to take on these new challenges. May you be successful and enjoy the journey along the way my friend!
Since you bought the exact same model you should watch for a salvage title one for parts. Get a flooded one out of a hurricane zone. make sure you flush and change all the fluids and then you will never have to wait for parts.
Also Ryan...you should consider contacting a Capital Leasing company where you dont actually buy equiptment......you lease all your equiptment long term.....trucks, trailers, track loaders, cement buggies, office furniture and computers...basically everything...and you depreciate each piece of equiptment over it's useful life and then turn it in and get new stuff every 5 years, or 7 years, or 10 years or however you set it up.

I feel your pain . I'm a excavation contractor that jumped into the equipment rental business 6 years ago and started with 4 pieces of equipment we have well over 100 pieces now from skid steers / mini exs to Airel lifts /telehandlers and dozers small amount of hand held breakers quick saws and its a great business but can be stressful as well. you Strick me as one that doesn't like to see your equipment torn up get ready because people do not care how or what they do to your equipment . and get an employee that has some mechanic skills for your everyday issues and also doesn't mind washing equipment . Good luck its a great business . Cody Sheppard C&J Equipment Sales & Rental and PS yes when I jumped I went all in we sale and service 3 brands of zero turn mowers 2 brands of Skid steers/ mini Exs one being Wacker Neuson tractors and 3 brands of trailers along with Virnig Attachments and a list of others

I agree I live in the north myself when I store my mustang I use a tender always works car starts like it 80 degrees out when its 15
If you have the vehicle outdoors a lot, they have solar trickle chargers you can throw on the dash. They're as big as a clipboard
They also sell breakers for batteries. Just flip the breaker.

Newer to the channel?😂
yeah couple videos back he already signed off on a building
That’s what the building that’s “useless” is for. I mean, who could use a big empty building with two over sized garage doors on it…
He's got a building coming ...I would think it's not going to sit outside all winter..winter shop or something

That's what contracts are for pictures before and after a job and any damage they pay.

Congratulations on your new adventure Ryan. You are a generous, fair, and kind person to everyone you come across. God Bless you!
Right on Ryan cant wait to see the progression of this rental business and your life I'm general and I think it's awesome that your setting your kids up for success as a Dad that's what we try to do for our kids so they don't have to struggle as hard as we do
Congrats Ryan! Been great watching your business and channel grow exponentially!!! Can't wait to see you start pouring footings for new building!
Ryan I wish you nothing but the best in your business idea. a lot in your plate god will guide thru the right path. Much love from NY
great for you, and your Company!!!!! you deserve it. great boss, and a great person!!!!
Very kind words , nothing but truth as well!
Ryan:
I noticed in your intro, as you praised the cat, you need a dryer vent cap.
It's on the right side of the door.
Theres one on each side ones got a vent cover the other doesnt@@VIOLENTxLJx
I used to have an MT85. You’ll gonna absolutely love this little machine. Clean that dust out!!
I thought the same thing
I'm 25 years old, and I'm surprised everything you do. Congratulations boos that's my dream 🤝🤝🤝
Have you thought about renting yard space to boys with toys for seasonal storage? I'm up in Canada and here most yards are fully booked through winter seasons for travel trailers and boats. You have so much yard space available that I'm envious. Just a bit of security and you should be booked solid . A terrific passive income.
Also be sure to put trackers on the rentals. Some places in my srea has had some equipment stolen and brought to Chicago area.
How do you know he hasn’t made any bad decisions? Every successful person has made some bad decision along the way.
I am happy for you and know that you have worked hard to get where you are at! Praying for your success in this new business and in 2024, in general!
Sir, congratulations for your new business. Wish you the best.🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏
I’m excited to see the new equipment in action!!! Ryan I hope someday to see you get another crew going even if it’s just a demo crew.
Congratulations Ryan. You and the crew deserve the equipment 🎉
This could possibly be a good idea, especially if you can find a mechanic that can work on your equipment on the side. If it becomes profitable it would definitely be a good business to run when you’re older to keep you occupied.
Nate the great
You’re setting the greatest foundation for your family and I love it. Sometimes in life you need to take risk. It’s always 50/50.
Dude this guys TH-cam channel has been my favorite to binge watch, there’s a story line to this guys life it pretty awesome, thanks for the enjoyment Ryan
Wow congratulations on the new equipment ryan I can’t wait to see them put to work!
Good luck Ryan and crew hope it works out for you all, you guys worked hard enough for it! 🏴🇺🇸
I'm really happy for you guys. Good to see the outside the box thinking and you can rent equipment from yourself. Hope it goes smoothly.

Probably gone hire a guy
This is going to be a really exciting year to watch unfold. Ryan, from watching you for the past couple of years, it is clear that everything you start, you put 110% effort into which is why you have been so successful thus far. It was wise to seek counsel before making these decisions and I could not be happier for you.
So happy for you Ryan and I think this will work out fine. If interest rates go down next year then I think things will start ramping up in a big way.
I love the regularly scheduled videos but to keep seeing surprise videos on days there aren't supposed to be any is awesome!!! Keep up the good work/content Ryan.
Literally the best boss in the world! You’re a great example of how every man should be!
God will provide, Ryan…you are a good and faithful servant❤️
That’s fantastic Ryan👍
Have Faith in your abilities as a positive & fair man
Your work ethics do you credit & I’m sure this year will be exciting if not a wee bit stressful for all involved👍
Let’s hope for a fruitful & busy year

Good luck on your new adventure, and thank you for bringing us along!!!
Hey Ryan good luck on the new endeavor, you will be great!! This from a retired and disabled veteran. I don’t usually watch this type of content cause I was an aircraft mechanic but there is something about what and how you do you videos along with the camaraderie of your employees. It takes me back to my days in the Navy, you will do great. Have fun and stay safe and remember it’s Easy Money!!!!!
Congrats Ryan, you truly deserve this 💪🏽
Prayers to you, your family, and your crew that this new year brings great opportunities, hard work, and encouragement to take on these new challenges.
Good morning Ryan been watching you a couple years now glad I found your channel you motivate me to work hard and to be a better person and a father figure been married 21 years to my beautiful wife we have 2 kids my son is 19 in college and works 2 jobs my daughter is 17 both great kids
Congrats Ryan, Life is all about risks some take them and succeed and others stand on the sideline wishing something would change. Been here since the start looking forward to the next couple of years.
Ryan congrats on the new business!… I was a experimental operator with Deere & company, and a heavy equipment operator for heavy road construction here in Iowa for years…
I noticed you left the backfill blade up on the mini.
For accurate hydraulic readings always lower all implements.
Love the content and channel, keep it up 👍🏼
Good-luck with the new business venture…
Just make sure to get everything GPS taged even if it is as simple as a Air tag but its just good to have.
Man I'm not a construction or concrete guy or even a business person at all, but this videos gets me so motivated to just keep working and keep dreaming to accomplish my goals. 2023 for me was a really bad year on economy and mental health but 2024 since the first day is been feeling different and for some reason makes me feel like things are going to get a lot better. Thanks Ryan for this videos they been keeping me with hope idk why but they do for some reason.
I’m not either. His videos are really interesting and The work ethic this guy has is inspiring.
