If you think about it, Lil Peep was the most authentic in the emo rap scene. His clothing, tattoos, sound and mixtapes/albums were a reflection of what he truly felt and believed in and that's one of the reasons why Peep is so iconic.
Music genres never die they just become reclusive. People still listen to nu metal, to shoegaze, to whatever. Emo rap has experienced a mainstream death but it's far from dead

Ngl, solo without peep he is just ass
@@teilors9679cap, he’s got a few bangers solo
3 of its biggest artists died too young unfortunately.. reminds of rock in its golden era when alot of rockstars were dying young of drug overdoses
juice was litteraly kid larois mentor wtf drugs u on lmao
Not discrediting any other rappers who passed away but peep X and juice where all icons in their own ways. All their music you felt as well as heard, you felt the emotion, the pain, the anger, the sadness, the realness, the cries for help, their art was crazy and it’s honestly so sad we don’t get to hear more music from these artists as they have now passed because the talent all 3 of them possessed is crazy and they would and probably still will go down as legends to the new wave of teenagers and even the old heads have the respect their music at this point like it or not. R.I.P Juice, peep, X and all the others artists who sadly was taken away from their families and friends 💪🏼
I still rock with x and juice and I have fond memories of listening to juice wrld especially after he passed. I have so many great memories listening to trippie redd and loving it and even X. Even tho I still listen to trippie redd more than X and juice wrld, I still go back to their music and projects. They hit hard sometimes because it reminds me of my childhood.
I hope that emo rap never dies. We still got Killstation, Brennan Savage and many more underground artist and begginers. You just have to dig more. Peep wasn't only one doing that kind of music but he was the only one to blow up like that. We need to carry on his legacy and carry on this genre of music but it needs to stay underground tho.
Calling lil xan the face of emo rap gotta be your worst take ever
I love emo rap, but I wish you would also cover the underground emo rap scene. Rappers like 9tails, lil skele, convolk, guardin, sewerperson, not home and more
Juice and Laroi didnt know each other that well? yea that´s why Laroi made already 2 tribute songs to Juice, has couple of songs with him (unreleased) went on tour with Juice and I can keep going.. Laroi is one of the best young artists today and if he is or isnt industry plant who cares?
honestly yeah laroi is like taking on juices legacy.
+ lived with juice for 3 months
god forbid an “emo artist” want to be versatile
If you think about it, Lil Peep was the most authentic in the emo rap scene. His clothing, tattoos, sound and mixtapes/albums were a reflection of what he truly felt and believed in and that's one of the reasons why Peep is so iconic.
I still listen to emo rap 24/7 mainly just juice n iann dior tho
Music genres never die they just become reclusive. People still listen to nu metal, to shoegaze, to whatever. Emo rap has experienced a mainstream death but it's far from dead
Thats what i been saying. Just give it another 5-10 years and itll come back
Its debatable that Nu metal is bigger now than it was when it started
There'll never be another emo rapper like juice wrld who could freestyle as good and make that many hits and thousands of fire songs. Emo rap is gonna die bruh
bones recently dropped a midwestern emo album, great stuff
“ most controversial” out of all the sub genres of hip-hop it’s definitely not the most controversial
@Slimthickmodels I didn’t say most hated . I said it wasn’t the most controversial
@Slimthickmodelsmumble rap wasn't even a real thing it was what they called the newer generation of melodic rap
@Slimthickmodelswhat’s a mumble rapper ?
Yeah horrorcore and drill was more controversial
Emo rap ain’t dead for me. Deffo getting a bit stale but there is some new artist doing cool stuff within the genre
putting rap in the title but the kid laroi in the thumbnail is wild asl ngl
Agreed, wouldn’t say Kid Laroi is a rapper
It’s dying because most ppl not in such a dark place anymore but we always come back
It died because the greats died in just a couple years, if they didnt die rap would be completely different right now. but their deaths were coming anyways it was just an amazing moment in time we got to witness
I got inspired by x, lil peep , iann dior, Juice WRLD, and Trippie redd of the emo rap sub genre. When I grow up I want to a producer and a singer which I'm still taking classes for music in general. If I don't make it well nobody can take ot from me 🥲🖤😅
On God I remember Iann Dior. That was before the dark days.
You don’t need school to make music if you do no you won’t make it.. making music is a feeling
Im sure you can make it i have a friend that became producer because of the same reason. He is literally producing people now lol
i'm not one to say what emo rap should sound like, but I believe my music is the representation of living what you're making..
i never really considered xan an emo rapper, he has some sad songs but it's more turn up mumble rap in the style of pump and purrp
Completely agree with basically everything in the video but i also 100% would listen to any emo rap rn. Any new artists making it and coming from a genuine place still has a chance, in my opinion
And to add, the people that listen to Emo Rap, we have grown up and we aren't sad anymore lol. Like I started listening to that stuff when i was 21, and now as a 30 year old man, what do I look like out here on my Business Grind, listening to Sad Boy music.
Drippin so pretty,Cold heart, lil lotus are carrying emo rap
That sucks emo rap died down. It’s actually great music… I’m an artist, & the type of music I make is emo rap. Not because it’s trendy or nothing, only because I grew up on bands like Thursday, Armor for sleep, A skylit drive, etc. & I loved lil peeps music. It is hard to get views on my music, but I like making the music I want to make
Same bro , completely agree with you as a fellow emo rap artist
@@ColdStarr we just gotta keep grinding bro 🙏 you on BandLab or SoundCloud? I’ll follow

Emo rap is good, i feel so bad that it’s not around since 2022, i still like the music
Been making music for years and wanna keep pushing emo rap but feel weird af making it since its kind of seen as a fad now? idk bro, shit hurt my creativity since all of em died bro, no inspiration to take from really. I feel you.
@@MorgansMemez yeh, Emo rap was good when Lil Peep, XXXTENTACION, Juice, Kid Lori and Ian Dior was around but 2022 it hasn’t been around since, i wonder what music people are into now 🤔, but me personally i still listen to Emo Rap though
I still listen to emo trap. Some artists that I listen to are Sewperson/9tails, Convolk, Shinigami, and bones which all are authentic ~
Your a real one bro no one talks about the underground indie emo rap scene I swear my favorite artist is guardin
Bro I forgot to mention guardin, facts I listen to him too 🔥

We still got: Suicide Boys, Bones, pouya, shakewell, Scarlxrd, and Yung lean. I miss the rage😢
Mario Judah is probably a Industry Plant too.
MGK, Kid Cudi, Ski Mask the SlumpGod, and Post Malone are some honorable mentions too.
The fall happened because emo raps best rappers od'ed and died
It’s crazy that juice is young dolfs cousin and he was close to g herbo and other members of NLMB. Dolf once said he wished he had talked to juice to get him off the drugs but he never had the chance
I'm only 9 minutes into the video, but it's pretty criminal to leave Mac Miller out of this video since he inspired a lot of these guys
What I’m saying
okay... juice and laroi actually were friends like that... the reason he got on grade A is bc of juice... juice like the kid... and believe it or not he is really talented.... he just outrapped llil tecca and outsang him. Also, a lot of your favorite critics said that themselves. Laroi also does live what he says... his background also wasnt the best believe it or not... he constantly talks abt juice n how he misses him... he is not an industry plant since he was known b4 juice died... YES IM MEATRIDIN HES GOOD... blame bibby...
there's so much hate on mgk, i did the same and i aint know peep did it too w his suit lmao
I still listen to Lil Peep and Juice to this day.
Great vid, but feels like it could be a bit biased at times, for example, you mention laroi having a father in the industry and say that he "didnt have any catalouge" before getting vids for ll. He did actually have some music, he made music since he was like 12, and i remember seeing him at different music / hiphop competitions when he was a lil kid
to calrify, i dont really care if you call him an industry plant or not, this was just an example as i think you could be more sincere when talking about these artists
i been listening to Laroi before he even blew up. i couldnt care if people call him an industry plant or not lol
iirc iann was making music for a while in high school until the internet money guys came across him and then thats when they started molding him into smt else, and they made him delete his older songs, ik he had an ep called a dance with the devil
I do Emo rap it’s still alive!!!!!!!!!
Same
Im bringing back EMO RAP....
Scarlxrd is probably the only real one left tbh.
That’s a god damm name i haven’t heard in half a decade lmao
Zilla kami…

laroi and juice were so crazy close, they literally lived together and laroi was there when he died.
a lot of us grew up, stopped doing drugs, and healed from all that. We saw what happened to X, peep, and juice so we changed and matured.
Literally all my favourite artists that i loved at that time died. It's fucked up. Now i don't listen to them much as years back but they are still in my playlists. RIP.
And i need to say that i growed up from EMO rap i dont know any others EMO rappers and i don't even want to know. Nobody will be like them and i don't want to be popping xanax again
eh u were wrong about the kid laroi tho he literally slept in juice wrld room they were close he was kid larois mentor lowkey next time need to do better research
do you know what a mentor is?
Lol he said next time do better research. You’re lost bud
@@rishavfash1r someone that helps someone else w whatever theyre skilled in if u watch the music videos kid laroi is literally in there and in vlogs juice is mentoring him 💀 ur an idiot

I started making emo music way before x and juice ,these ninjas came on SC , took over destroyed SC , and died, this could have been bigger. These guy are abomination.... I had to leave SC, .. this year I'm starting to get a fan base but on Amazon... But my music is more like experimental ...🎉🎉🎉
Lil xan ISN'T TRASH!¡! I'm gonna see him when he comes to Boston ❤❤❤❤🎉🎉🎉
I honestly thought Trippie Redd was going to take their place when XXXTENTACION and Lil Peep and Juice WRLD passed
Juice wrld wasnt really emo rap
lmao yes it was

Well u commented on it and made it more popular 😂😂😂
one comment wont make video more popular trust me lil bro@@RickyJim-ot5rv
The kid Larkin wasn’t really an industry plant
Bro do your research about Laroi. Seem like you just full on hate and spread misinformation
Stop dick riding a plant
Wait am coming
"Ian Ethan" is coming
Laroi Grinded in Australia. Rapped for Ben Simmons and shit before he went to the nba. Grinded to get seen by Bibby and opened for juice. Essentially just about every artist is an “industry plant” if that is counted as one.
If anyone would die from overdosing of course it'd be emo rappers, its on the fuckin name dude, they're depressed
I wish he never signed for bibby real fans know it probably could have saved his life
Juice isn't just emo rappp he's got the best songs in every other genre
$b are the only big ones left thankfully sober now
Bro when peep juice and x died the reason why it fell off is because they couldn’t replicate the success they x peep and juice could do
This genre was never gonna go imo. It was a trend
I like that in a genre full of gang violence & sexism, the biggest controversy was mfs rapping about their emotions.
