My favourite red gum giant is on the Murrumbidgee river near Gundagai NSW.

i imagine the opening of a red gum is a gateway to a far away hidden land

Eucalypts are both pioneer species that are really intolerant of shade but also long lived hardwoods

Best firewood for my Aga. Second best to Queensland black coal in winter. I buy three tons each year.

Careful you don't remove too much habitat for fauna;)
Anyway how could you need 3 tons/year? Is your house fabric full of holes & gaps, or no insulation. Might be worth looking into?

I can't believe how the British still occupy that land and massacred the indigenous Australians.

Yea, Australia just proved that it is still deeply racist in a referendum.
Not helped by a racist conservative party leader & big business funding right wing misinformation.

It is not occupied now. Most people that live here were born here.
However if you want to class immigrants as occupiers then most are English, Indian, Chinese and Kiwi
But what's not to be believed about the massacres?
That is common knowledge and has happened throughout history, and is still happening.
Do you have any education in history?
