I just ran across this review last night, and I was really, really impressed. Both with the toy, and your review. Just a really slick, professional job all around, really nice stuff. And GREAT poses, too. I always feel like some folks have a problem showing off dynamic poses, and I think it's just something that a person can do naturally (or not), and you really got him in some bad ass looking poses.
Ordered this one up last year. I can't wait for mine to arrive. As soon as I saw the size comparison with SRC Shin Getter I think they'll all fit together with the Getter Dragon I have.
That they do, and while I'm also aware that Shin must be bigger than Dragon (but since they're different toylines that isn't the case), at least they look good on the shelf together.

Nice review Vince. I got this figure about 1.5 weeks ago. I been enjoying it ever since. In my opinion, this figure is more like an Acura RSX (because of more die cast materials then SRC, chain weapon, custom cape with wire built in, figure stand) then a Honda Civic IMO. He seem fragile same goes with SRC anyway. All in all, he is such a solid buy. I will never ever have to buy another Black Getter again. In the meanwhile I got so many version of other Mazingers sitting in my house. Blah...
I always pefered hero mechs in all types of mechs shows but this one is seriously good looking. It's makes it more difficult choosing between this one and getter 1
I really want this figure but now that it's over $200 it's just a pipe dream. I see there's a Revoltech Black Getter out now that I could pick up for about $30. Any thoughts on that line or the figure itself if you've seen it?

To be honest I think Black Getter is too big to be in anime accurate scale with SRC Shin Getter. But it's not that big of a deal.

The only thing I don’t like is that the cover for the getter beam is spring loaded. I feel like I’m gonna lose it.

Eh, technically the RSX is just a Honda Integra - so it works for both our analogies! As for the Mazingers, yeah, I've got a bunch here too! ahah

If you can stomach the high cost, then yes I fully recommend the Sentinel Getters over the SRC Shin Getter.
