President Museveni's apology and comments are music to my ears! It is definitely a major positive step to see African nations invite the descendants of African slaves back to our true home. I also agree that those who decide to return home MUST be the ones who recognize and are committed to the necessity of LEAVING WESTERN TOXICITY AND DYSFUNCTION BEHIND! Please don't bring our colonizer's poisons with you! We must decontaminate, depressurize, and cleanse our minds before returning home.
Please do not give the African people ANY LEGITAMATE EXCUSE OR REASON to resent or regret our return, please! My hope is to see African leaders EXPEDITE and SIMPLIFY the immigration and repatriation process.
Our goal needs to be to bring our talents, skills, knowledge, abilities, and financial resources to Mother Africa, in order to help facilitate her unification, growth, and proper position on the world stage.

I would tell you how we have suffered at the hands of those who came to us as angels but I know you also have your stories. So yes, love has washed away those sins. but I believe this is too low-key, let us make a continent-wide day of this, can you imagine that? it would truly be a HOLY day for Africa, a day when God himself, the God we have known long before we were given the white one, would have to come from heaven to visit us. The days of prayer and fasting have turned the tide. We need our day of jubilee, the blood of our forefathers has been crying out for this day and all 54 countries should be vocal in this action. I pray that day is around the corner, and we shall sing and dance as only black people can. " And the high place I'll bring down" There is a movement in the heavens.

Black brothers must forgive Africans so that peace will take root all over the world.
That we are extending our hands to welcome our brothers home is just the right thing to do. Our brothers and sisters in diaspora must bring back our African souls to rest back here in Africa where they rightly belong. The worst thing we can do to one another is slavery.
On behalf of Nigeria, I say we are very sorry...it should have never ever have happened at all. Our forefathers committed serious crime that is abhorrent. But we the modern people want our black Africans people back to the continent to help begin the process of healing the pains of the past.We love you all. Love is the answer, not hate. Those who loves being black, please do come back where you belong, Africa.

I was touched by his speech and glad that steps are being made to allow descendants of enslaved Africans back home. I think there is a lot of good we can do especially if we work together. It will be difficult though reconciling those feelings of being born in a different nation but trying to be apart of a new culture. We have the right to call ourselves African because while they tried taking everything from us they couldn't take away our DNA that links us. But not growing up Ugandan or Nigerian etc would be an adjustment in some ways.

SOME AFRICAN AMERICANS NEED TO UNDERSTAND THEIR HERITAGE OF AFRICAN EMPIRES THAT WERE AROUND THOUSANDS OF YEARS BEFORE ROMANS OR BRITISH EMPIRE (EUROPEANS) STARTED. ONCE THEY KNOW THAT, THEY WILL NEVER FALL VICTIM TO SLAVERY MENTALITY. ALL RACES SOLD EACH OTHER. OTTAMAN EMPIRE, ROMANS EMPIRE SOLD AND ENSLAVED MANY WHITE HUMANS FOR OVER A THOUSAND YEARS. AFRICANS DID SELL MANY CONQERED VILLAGES TO FRANCE AND BRITISH. SLAVES IN AMERICA STOOD UP FOUGHT AGAINST SLAVERY JOINED LIKE MINDED SETTLERS AND CAUSED CIVILWAR AND WE ALL WON. ONCE YOUNG BLACK YOUTH UNDERSTAND THIS, THEY WILL NEVER LOOK AT A WHITE PERSON AS BEING BETTER THAN THEM, JUST EQUELS
