Wonderful! I love how you guys did a slow tempo, it helps me dwell more on the lyrics and the rich theology behind them

I heard this song from CCEF’s conference ‘pastor care’. Thank you for publishing it.

What is the name of that tune? Do you know where it has come from? Almost sounds ancient Irish or Scottish Gaelic. Beautifully simple and with great expression of faith and dependence on Jesus our Saviour and defender.

Late comment, but from what I can find, the tune is called ARISE or RESTORATION, collected and published by Southern Harmony in the 1830s. This song and tune is one of my favourites, beautiful in itself and precious for the way the words "if you tarry till you're better, you will never come at all" helped open up my understanding of God's gracious offer of salvation and convinced me to tarry no longer :)

@@lysb Thank you so much for your reply and the beautiful story of your redemption. I can see why you would love this hymn and have done the research to find its origins. I love the depth of words that can change a heart to seek and find God through Jesus Life, Death and Resurrection bringing full Forgiveness and Restoration to us. Also love tunes and harmonies that are not afraid of dissonance. and know how to use them like the bitter herbs in the Passover meal to enhance and help us express Repentance and Dependence on God's Mercy and Grace. Truly God is good and His Love, the reason we were created, and His Love made all the more precious when we see how far we fell from Him. May you continue to know God's blessing.
