@@TechOdyssey You're absolutely right. If you're gonna waste money on a Snapdragon Windows ARM based system; you'd be better spending your money on literally anything else. Qualcomm is what has been holding Windows back from moving from X86.
You get what you pay for with the budget-minded ARM laptops. If you want something remotely close to a Mac in terms of ARM, you're going to pay for it. The ThinkPad X13S looks like a great system, however, you pay Mac prices, so your "I don't want to pay Mac prices" argument is moot if you're hoping for respectable performance. When Msft is no longer married to Qualcomm for their chip development, they'll turn to other vendors like Mediatech and then you'll have a flood of Chinese manufacturers baking telemetry into the CPU to harvest data from their Windows on ARM laptops, forced by the government...
Nice video! I have 2 HP Stream laptops one is in S mode and one without. I got them both for a little over $200 each and I really like them. I have always used Toshiba and the screws would fall out, etc. I make all my videos on it. I save them on a flash drive. I enjoy your channel. 😊
Can't wait for MS to stop being contractually married to Qualcomm for Windows on ARM. It will do a lot better if they can start custom silicon from the ground up and optimize for that.
Moving to Panamá to serve in the Peace Corps and chose this as my computer to use for work there! Seems like a great option, thanks for the great review!
Currently $279, as of now. on Dell Website.
How’s the laptop holding up? I just bought one for $329
Looks value for money with decent specs for normal usage.
Is this keyboard backlit?
No games?
If you want ARM based laptops I'd still go with Mac. The Qualcomm chips have always been terrible in Windows for workloads.
Not everyone wants a Mac, or wants to pay Mac prices

@@setoth1234 Intel and AMD have both stated they're able to make the CPUs.
@@brandonw1604 Oh, so now, that Intel has already sold off its Xscale division and what ARM licensing agreement does AMD have?
This was great! Please do more laptop reviews.
You're in much. I have two more laptops I'm currently reviewing. Glad you enjoyed it

I'm all in the Samsung ecosystem. My laptop is Galaxy book pro 360. Unfortunately, it has bottom firing speakers, otherwise everything else is great.

I’m looking for a budget windows laptop with usb-c charging and this seems like a really good bang for the buck! Can’t wait to buy it.
We need Microsoft to build a Surface Go with ARM!! Then it will be great!
Nice video keep up the good work Tech Odyssey
Thanks, will do!
Wait mine has a touch screen? I'm confused.
I think the power button is a finger print reader it is on my one (older model)
Does yours have a touch screen???
Is windows on ARM any good?
It would be good just for programming stuff? And the ram is soldered? Thanks
I purchased mainly for that "to learn code" it will run VS code. make sure you run "ARM64 System" , it will work under any account.
Good review. Thanks for the detailed info.
Glad it was helpful!
