I've been a huge fan and admirer of Melie Kerr since the last few years and I was absolutely overjoyed that she was picked to play in the WPL for my favourite team - the Mumbai Indians! 😇💙
I am 21 myself, so almost about the same age as Melie (not anywhere close to being as talented as her of course! 😅😬) and I've had my share of mental health struggles in the past. Though the struggles were not as hard or difficult compared to what some people go through, I could so relate to it when Melie talked about the feeling of "I have such an amazing family and support group and I am doing what I love, so why am I feeling the way I'm feeling" It was heartening to know that I'm not alone; that there are others who've felt this as well!
What I admire the most about Melie is that at such a young age she's using her experiences in life to help out others who're going through similar struggles and trying to create a better world for everyone!
I wish her all the best in all her future endeavours both as a cricketer and as an ambassador for mental health! ❤
