Gracias Sergio un saludo. Siempre tratando de explicar cosas básicas aunque en esto siempre se aprenden cosas todos los días. Suerte con sus animales , me encantan sus ejemplares. 👍🏼

Great video. Do you know the radius of a Spanish pouters homing ability. I have so young I am training and was curious how far out they would fly. Thanks

That varies greatly . It’s hard to estimate but that’s why you breed for selection and working ability. Ideally you look for a bird that flies in 4 cardinal directions at least 1/2 a mile. It also depends on how far other fanciers are and if you ever want to catch anything. A bird with a short radius decreases your chances to catch others.

@@MrCapricho83 thanks I’m new to Spanish pouters. I do not know of any lofts near me. But there is plenty of ferals for me to work my birds.

@@stvidz_597 in Spain some fanciers mix ferals with Heavy Spanish breeds like Jiennenses or Laudinos . They use those crosses for Zuriteo . Catching Ferals. That’s what they call ferals Zuritas. Try searching the word up and see if you find any info on it. Some birds aren’t crossed , but have been bred for that modality.
