  • Hello World, it's me a nobody and I'm back with another adventure. This time we're exploring Brussels, Belgium.
    This is my first time visiting Belgium and I'm here to give you my thoughts on my experiences. I'll break down how much everything costs and what I thought was worth visiting. This was during peak time as it was during half term so prices will be higher than usual.
    I stayed in Brussels for 4 days but also visited Luxembourg and Antwerp during this time so there are plenty more videos on the way.
    I find the best price for flights using sky scanner: www.skyscanner...
    Airline used this time was Brussels air: www.brusselsai...
    Hotel: Ibis Hotel Centre Gare du Midi: ibis-brussels-...

    I’m currently planning a trip to Brussels/Antwerp/Luxembourg, so your videos have been most helpful. Thank you!

    Sad you got drenched under the storm
    I prefer Brussels from Gent, Antwerp or Bruges. Brussels is also Ixelles, Etterbeek, Saint Gilles with remarkable architecture

      We all laughed about it so it’s now a fond memory 😅 I would definitely love to visit other parts of Belgium. I also went to Antwerp and loved it 😊

    What country would you like to immigrate to. Btw, good video you filmed in Brussels.👍

      Really good question! If it was anywhere in the world my dream would be to move to Japan. I’ve always been fascinated with the country. If it were Europe it’s between Germany and France but I do love living in London.

      Thank you so much! That’s really lovely! I I, unfortunately didn’t get the opportunity to visit Ghent or Brugge so I can’t really comment. But I would assume 2 or 3 days would be the right amount. 2 days was enough for Brussels and I had also visited Luxembourg and Antwerp for the day. If you get the opportunity visit Antwerp it’s really beautiful!

    I'm off there next week is the hotel a long walk to grand place , ? Did you guys use cab whilst out there? Would suggest I bring cash or use my card travelling from uk , great vlog mins the rain 😩

      Thank you for watching ☺️ I’m going to be completely honest. Our hotel wasn’t in the greatest of locations we stayed where we did as it was easier to get to other destinations. However, it was within walking distance of the Grand Place. About a 15 minute walk. No cabs, we just used the bus and the subway which is really easy to navigate. If you download an app called city mapper it gives you all the transport routes in countries across the world. I use it both in London and whenever I’m abroad. I used my card the whole time. I have a Monzo which gives you the best exchange rates but there’s also a company called revolut. I recommend getting one of those cards. It’s free, then just transfer your spending money across. I hope you have an amazing trip! ☺️

      @@ANobodysHerstory So I'm staying at the Hilton Grand Place - good location you think? By the way, your French sounded great to my American ear, thought you might have been a native speaker

    • @ANobodysHerstory
      @ANobodysHerstory  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@JDowPCs I would say that’s a good location. Everything will easily be in walking distance but the public transport was so easy to use! Haha! Thank you! As someone who struggles with languages it’s good to know it sounded alright 😅

    Brussel is not even special i dont know why tourist find is special and beautiful Belgium people don't like that city. You have Gent Brugge Mechelen Antwerpen. Not Brussel hah

    • @ANobodysHerstory
      @ANobodysHerstory  ปีที่แล้ว

      It’s where it’s the capital so people instantly think to go there. That was my thinking anyway. I totally agree! I though Antwerp was much more beautiful and I’ve heard people say the same thing about Bruges and Ghent.

      Coming from a provincial Flemish this comment does not surprise me. It is uninteresting and tinged with a regional racism that characterizes this population.😂
