    I love how natural you guys are. Mostly, people just give a tour. Maybe, some technical stuff. But, I love how your family is just so happy to be together. And, you let that show. From letting your kids be a part of the production on their terms, to how you and your wife are so playful. I hope you never lose that. Great video and I hope there are more to follow.

    Do you ever feel uncomfortable with your children sleeping alone on top of the van and you inside? Idk I think I'd be a bit antsy about that one. But great use of the van for that many people.

    • @Vardagen
      @Vardagen  3 ปีที่แล้ว +29

      Thanks, Valorie! We never felt uncomfortable with our kids being in the tent, especially with us being so close. We did have spaces for them to all sleep inside though if there was a storm, or some areas warned of bears/wild animals. Wish we would have shown the inside configured for all 6 of us sleeping inside! We were pretty cozy. 😆

Because of the type of work that I do, we can't do full-time van life. So, I want a van for short but frequent roadtrips. Something more comfortable than just a typical minivan but not an RV. This is a really great video. I have been trying to educate myself on living in a van and if it will be a good idea for our family. As of can we do it.. We also homeschool our children and I just want to be able to be more free to just get up and go. Not be stuck with some house chores and yard work everyday. We are getting ready to rent out our house this year and make that big move. Either buy a van already equipped or just do it ourselves. Watching families like yours gives us the courage and motivation to do it. Thank you both for sharing God bless.

    Awesome set up. The rooftop tent is a great alternative to the pop-up "S.M." type ceiling bed. My only concern would be mold and how well the tent material would dry when packed away after a rainstorm? The TV is such a unique idea, never seen that before. Great video. Do you by chance have one of what your set up is like if the kids sleep inside? Sorry if you already answered that. I didn’t read all the comments.

    I'm watching you guys from 🇧🇷 and I really love this van build! I have a daughter and she's 1.6 yo and I'm so afraid of doing this but it's my dream and if u guys can do it with 4 children I definitely can do it too❤️

    Allow me to recommend 2 suggestions, not because your rig is not good but because you can make it better
    1. Remove the rear cupboard and add a king size bed that can moved up by motors. This will allow your kids to sleep inside and you can use the roof for solar
    2. The rear seat can be adjusted to fold up for easy acceds and also you can convet it to an extra bed.
    3. If you minimize your bed size you can add a bathroom space with slide door that csn flexible to extend outside, this way you don't need to go outside every time to use toilet

      Appreciate the thoughts. We do have solar on our roof. Also, not crazy about the motorized beds after considering them. We do have an arrangement for all sleeping inside if there is a storm. We’ll have to show that at some point.

    I had to stop writing as the "SINK" part of the video came on and hubby was onna roll, tootsie roll.... . Loved it! 4 kids and the wifes still smokin. But what do you do when its cold? As for the toilet,... thats awesome. Anyone ever just lift it up while someones coppin a squat? Ahhh, gave hubby an idea! Lmbo. The counter top is bangin. So is your wife... bah-hahaha..... loved the vid tho. So through and entertaining at the same time!!! Keep on keepin on folks xx

      😂 thanks! We’ve stayed away from cold weather but we do have a diesel heater in the van. Never had anyone lift up our tent but we’re usually away from other people and we honestly rarely use it other than emergencies. Thanks for following!

    I love it!!! Where did you guys get the 4 seater seatbelt chairs? That has been my biggest problem with 4 kids!

    • @Vardagen
      @Vardagen  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks, Michelle! It was actually the last row of seats in the van! We took it out and converted it to fit in the front row. We can shut the sliding door easily, but it left no room to walk from the front to the back without the door being open. Just keep that in mind! It served us well though!
