Oh and also.. pin your pre formed trims at the centre and nail to the ends.. this will ensure minimum bumps between fixings
You would assume they would have developed an end cap for this system
I felt like I was watch model kit making as they glued that tiny bit into the end caps.
I've heard these roofs make a lot of contraction noises at night in hot weather is that correct?
Fortunately we don't get much hot weather in the UK. We've never encountered any noise issues.
Where is this training
We arrange at our depots based on demand.
Bad training by not wearing goggles when using the Catalyst.
Glue and activator to stick on an end cap?? I understand for asthetics and to stop the matting sucking in. but If the taping is done right.. its not necessary .. also drip battens are needed.. at the sides so you can blob some pu adhesive to stop the raised edge drip vibrating in the wind.. and at the front for ease of acces to get at the guttering
Unnecessary work on there my freind i do grp roofs but im finding there not all that.
Very poor video, no information on preparation, drying times, how to mix it, health and safety risks! I was plastering a house when the roofers used this stuff and it burst into flames on its own, some sort of exothermic reaction with the chemicals. If not for quick thinking and a nearby hose the house would have gone up in smoke ! This stuff is very dangerous and this is not discussed in the video
Not much knowledge being passed onto the guys paying to be trained here. No doubt they will all leave with a worthless certificate so they can all lay 1 or 2 installations before they screw up big time. The custormers paying for a new flat roof will be left with a poorly installed roof installed by people with very little practice.
