Agree with everything you said man. But unfortunately I feel like it’s not gonna change a lot. Beta was magical for me and I just don’t feel that magic with this version but I still play it. I love this game to death but I just don’t see it going anywhere unless they just bite the bullet and bring the game back to or close to beta.
You make a lot of good points, also I want to mention that the old UI that the closed alpha and open beta had were literally perfect, I miss looking at the old screen! This new UI they put just doesnt feel unique anymore, reminds me of the fortnite UI kind of, I love that the old version was so unique to itself and the cursor was so useful!
And ppl had the nerve to say the current multiversus is better than beta😂when the only problems ppl had with beta was the servers and hitboxes and some broken characters now damn near everything is worse and broken
in the current Multiversus I feel like I have to force myself to play it and enjoy. While in beta I had a better time overall, my big issue is the hitboxes idk why but in beta it was better the only real issue was Finn bag and that was it which they ended up fixing.
I am gonna be Real. - I cant enjoy Multiversus anymore after playing Rivals of Aether 2. - I thought the movement was slow and floaty in MVS already but still I enjoyed it. - Now... After playing about 60+ hours of Rivals 2 i realize what I was missing from smash and from platform fighters - Playing Multiversus is actually unbearable now in comparison. I will still check out the seasons, and get some free items now and then, but my money, my time, and my interest in MVS is coming to a close.
yeah the game hasn't been changed for the better . stupid matchmakings , scuffed ranked matchups and facing off against literal game over addicting players that I bet that they never shower , never eat, never go out and using some carried characters. sometimes I feel like some players are playing this game like its some sort of a daily homework which really isn't the point of video games in general at all.

Honestly though, the amount of clickbait youtube video titles from people who play the game and claim to love it, with thumbnails like "multiversus shutting down", will eventually cause it to shut down. Perception us everything and new players seeing these thumbnails ain't gonna download.
@@NoobSaibotVII Concord had a 400 million budget for less than 700 players on Steam. MVS hasn't had nearly that amount of investment, nor have player numbers dipped that low. Concord would have been costing Sony so much money to keep alive
I don’t see it shutting down for a little while tbh, the game is always improving (at least to me). The game will always keep their own fan base who’s willing to spend a buck, plus if they add two popular characters a season instead of one more people may be interested in the game and want to play as their favorite character. Honestly once they figure out how to balance their game I can see people sticking around more because it would be funner to fight an actually well balanced character.

Really agree with everything said in this video. Played 3k matches back in beta myself, and got the entire roster to 15+. Even put up with those pretty weak Halloween/Xmas events back then, because the game was just insanely fun to play. Try as I might though, I just can't get into this new version of the game whatsoever. Stuck in this cycle of sticking my head in for every major update, only to play something else within an hour of starting MVS. The game just feels so slow and sluggish. What's worse is you can literally feel the difference in their design philosophy between the beta characters and these new characters (Jason, BG, Juice, etc).
I like the new version of the game but the only thing I don't like about it is how the players can just spam and run away more and still win it's just boring. I have mixed feelings for the game

Look, I love this game and honestly, I really do love it like I really do I never played the Beta version though. I wasn't unsure if I should, but when I've heard it got removed and then brought back I was really kind of thinking to myself. Should I play It? And I played it when it Came back and I had fun now.To be honest i know there's a lot of people that have problems with this game that people are not playing it anymore and does it have problems? Yeah, will they get fixed? Hopefully, I really do have potential for this game in the future. I want this game to be one of the best fighting games ever
This game has made better changes compared to season 1-2 but its all coming out so slow and feels more like a beta than the beta ,its also crazy how the fact the increased character sizes has made hitboxes worse and characters stronger ,the beta looks like a mess but didn't feel that way u were actually fighting to reach 100 and not doing some broken hitbox nonsense (hitboxes were still bad and servers but there still bad now ,arya was till op in the beta though)
I came back this season after quiting half way through season 1. I decided to try and get the raven ranked skins in 2v2s as a solo que, but the way they have every player started at bronze is garbage. Any time a high rank player decides to play a new character they get to stomp their way to the higher ranks and if i wanted to get all the skins ide have to probably spend 3x the time just fighting top 100 alts on clearly broken characters. Also they need to let raven use her special skills on herself and her summon. Too many times ive had kill opportunities be sabotaged because my allys just chillen at the edge with my summon.
Nobody wants to chase someone who runs away all match smh it just gets old . Takes no skill and it’s boring and sadly i love this game but it’s just how the players play the game is why it’s going to die.
Multiversus would be even better if they could just expand the ring out barrier without the need of the changing the camera angle . Like any other platform fighting games , when you are outside of the screen and next to the far end of the ring out barrier you can see yourself in a bubble . I want that so that people will find an even harder time to 0 to death you or ringing you out early.
They need a straight up rp system. All Season 4 I (Platinum 1) have gained at most 12 rp even when against diamonds but i consistently lose 16+ rp for every loss. Its not worth it as a casual player.
@CrazyNoc This season has been the worst so far for rp gain for me. Definitely has made me rethink playing which sucks because I'm a Master reindog player. I tried every morning before work, after work and late night everyday for 2 weeks and the result were always the same of 8rp per win (rare 12rp win) and consistent 16rp loss. I guess MVS want some of us to quit playing lol. I wish it was more fair.

I come from Tekken and movement for me is very appealing to see, the very thought of being able to break normal movement is what attract me to video games. Heck, it was the very reason I even played this game.
Yeah should have been more worried about map selection for ranks, Superman buffs I already knew it was gonna die when they kept releasing skins but not patches smh
@CrazyNoc I just want to go in and throw down. I play early in the am before work and unfortunately I play a lot of the same people every day and it gets painful
just gonna repost a comment I made: -input lag is painful. I'll input an attack and the game takes 2 or so seconds to actually throw the attack out, I often need to smash the buttons to get the fucking thing to register -zero whiff on so many characters, also the ability to cancel out of attacks means for a lot of characters there's no opportunity cost for throwing out dozens of attacks per secon -the infamous broken hitboxes/hurtboxes/disjointed hitboxes -attack priority is messed up and illogical. it always feels like a dice roll as to, when two attacks are thrown out at the same time, whose is going to take priority over the other -everything is too fast, fast characters can move like a blur and there's no time to react to anything. The speed increase has made this even worse. This would be ok if not for the fact some characters are way faster than others and the egregious input lag -dodge meter is too generous so you can just spam dodge all day and throw out flurries of attacks. Also the ability to dodge out of a punish and end up punishing the other player -limited moveset for every character (as the game is aimed at casuals) so in high level play you can only consistently use a few attacks which leads to egregious spamming. Also only one or two pathways to combos -obnoxious combos for certain characters that can at least 0-80 you further discouraging an aggressive playstyle 1v1 is such a fucking nightmare to play. a game of cat and mouse where both players sit in a corner running back and forth until someone throws an attack out. PFG cannot design strong combat mechanics, and as a Supes main I really feel you because currently I'm just finding myself frustrated when playing the game, even during matches I end up winning
I said the same thing. They really need to cut our dodges in half. Its way too easy for your opponent to spam jabs in your face, dodge backwards after every one and then just run away until their dodge meter refills

I fought a diamond Harley today and I genuinely couldn't land a hit on her because she was dodging around the place faster than light, she can cancel out of any animation/slow and speed up movement at a whim and can zoom around the map like a mosquito with her run speed. The entire game was her waiting for me to try and throw out an attack, she'd catch a whiff with a broken hitbox and then go to town on me with an unescapable combo. I'm moving through treacle as a superman main fighting a player that I physically am not able to punish because she has so many easy get out of jail cards
@Sam-uk4mb don't even get me started on Morty. Idk why he needs more dodge distance than everyone else. They just sit on their side of the stage spamming grenades and ax swings and anytime you approach he just dodges away what feels like an entire quarter length of the stage.
What i loved about the beta is that if you are better than your opponent YOU ALWAYS WIN and it was CLEAR who was the better player Even with Jake Finn Batman and superman being broken Losing to them still felt like your opponent was better than you New MVS makes bad players think they are good Which sucks ass Before the skill ceiling was SOOO MUCH HIGHER but now the skill floor and skill ceiling are kinda in the same spot With the new game tho at LEAST the 2v2 is more fun Thats about it New 1v1MVS is ASS But new 2v2 is solid pretty good Old 2v2 was really fun with the new 2v2 its much more collaboration with your teamate compared to the beta At least with the Beta at the VERY least If you were bad you were bad you would never beat someone better than you But now anyone can get masters rank with shaggy or superman or honestly just anybody in the game because of how cookie cutter simple every character is
To me are they really willing to listen to the community perspective of what will keep the game alive? It's just we haven't really received what we want from multiversus it's been a beta it's been a release and it's been months and that's a problem

I think my least favorite mechanic added to the game is being able to attack out of dodge, because if a player is good at using it, it makes gameplay outright suffocating. Seriously, every Beetlejuice I've come across just loves to get up in my face and not let me breath for even a single second. It kinda makes the game not as noob friendly ironically enough. I've mentioned this when the game re-released, but I wonder if the game would've been better off if it was closer to the beta. I've only played the beta once, so I don't think I can give a fair opinion, but I think the only changes they should've made was adding in the burnout state when you run out of dodge meter, and the additions of parries and dash attacks, and I think everything else could've stayed the same.
also the ability to cancel out of attacks is so damn obnoxious. No punishment or commitment to anything and it makes characters like Harley near impossible to deal with

That's the only skin in the whole game they promised you couldn't get outside of unlocking it (completing first season rifts) The insanity rifts were nearly impossible for me. I spent the entire first season trying to get it and came just a few points short. Needed just a day or two more. I'm still bitter about it lol I worked so hard, barley even played pvp (rifts weren't even good) and I still didn't get the skin in the end. Rough!

I think class perks would be cool too. A 5th perk where it's dependant on class. Like tanks take less damage from behind or gain gray health as after 50 damage or something. Assasins gaining an extra 1 damage every 3rd hit or a 3rd jump. Something like that

Yeah man this video exactly show cases every reason why we shouldn't be just clutching our dog tags hoping for change I understand to an extent what other content creators say when they "have faith" but the team needs to hear it I'm gonna be honest this is the start of make it or break it for multiversus I have hope too but it's time to stop dick riding devs and tip toing around everything no offense my goats bhands and tremell. They said they would increase the speed and then they increased the walking speed only for a couple characters. I was like maaaan how hard can it be to just improve the speed overall among all characters a bit. Just doing that would make the game more fun. Shield addition is good but imrpoce the speed man pfg
I think if they released new characters more often to build hype around the game would be amazing it’s disappointing seeing them add nubia and not someone like mordecai and rigby some Games release 2-3 characters every month so it just feels kinda slow and boring at times
Crazynoc I normally disagree with you most of the time bc of the raging. I understand thats kinda how ur channel just is but sometimes it rly makes some people that think that you just want the game to burn down to the ground and just get deleted from the world all together, I am saying that for the people who are struggling with the game to learn its mechanics that also just see 1 video from you then think oh this isn't even worth it anyway. I do agree tho with you on how some of the old stuff from the beta should come back. I just didn't like the glitchy feel where people would be on the other side of the map then i would be in a combo and just die at 60-70 and there was no way for me to react. that could have had to do with the net code tho which i did notice that you touched on and I do appreciate that. I think however, that if they just combine some of the beta stuff with the current game we will have a way better game in general than either of the 2 and I think you would agree with me there tbh. I also want to see the game in a better state than its in the teching should be instant and you will have to hard read where they are going to be instead of being stuck on the ground for what feels like an entire 3 seconds. I hope people see this video that are newer to the game bc when you get down to it you rly do share how you feel about the game and I think that helps alot. keep up the good work and just try to maybe not trash on the game too bad when ur mad LOL. @ I feel with a Limit to Movement we are Forced to play around these rules of limitation. This is something I like. Having no limit to movement in the beta made the game actually get stale to me. The reason for this is simply due to the Beta’s Gameplay not feeling challenging to me. With Limitations come a fun challenge, this is of course Subjective for me.
@ oh I agree with you. I don’t want it to purely be based on spam dodge and attack miss to dodge again. I want more responsive and a bit faster movement though. I also don’t want cancelling out of moves other than normal attacks. I want more whiff on kill moves, etc. just give me more responsiveness
I do like the the release version on multiversus but the other stuff just out weighs the good. Even the fact I’m not even excited to even play it anymore. I just moved to platforming games permanently. Nothing fun no more.

Yeah I get two more weeks of dev time could be good for each season but they made the battle pass worse and more grindy. And it's weird how no one cares about the loss of fighter points in favor of being forced to pay 10 bucks for every new character.

And it’s true they haven’t touched rifts bc everyone made it clear they don’t care about them. Why fix what people are going to hate on principle? People want combat so they give combat. If people want rifts they’ll give rifts. As is it seems more like a lot of the silent majority says “this is nice” and plays normally while only the hardcore types are demanding certain aspects. The community feels so uneven like that.

Ranked is by far the stupidest mode. Platform fighters are meant to he fun. Throwing ranked in an unfair game and locking exclusive skins behind is it a horrible idea. On top of that the way they implement their event and event skins is awful. Zero reason they should have gleemium exclusive skins during events when event currency is a thing

It's getting tough to like this game ngl And no we don't say that as a joke, the game is actually bleeding from it's general playerbase. Nobody wanted MVS to end up like this. It's almost as if there's 2 masterminds out there fighting for the control of the game. MVS shutting down sounds crazy when the devs always sound excited whenever they release a new update, it's all so weird with this game. Concord was pulled in a week or two and way more money was spent on it. Don't hold your breath too long because anything is possible.

Any time a high rank player decides to play a new character they get to stomp their way to the higher ranks and if i wanted to get all the skins ide have to probably spend 3x the time just fighting top 100 alts on clearly broken characters. Also they need to let raven use her special skills on herself and her summon. Too many times ive had kill opportunities be sabotaged because my allys just chillen at the edge with my summon.
Nobody wants to chase someone who runs away all match smh it just gets old . Takes no skill and it’s boring and sadly i love this game but it’s just how the players play the game is why it’s going to die.
Multiversus would be even better if they could just expand the ring out barrier without the need of the changing the camera angle . Like any other platform fighting games , when you are outside of the screen and next to the far end of the ring out barrier you can see yourself in a bubble . I want that so that people will find an even harder time to 0 to death you or ringing you out early.
This game has so much potential. Things are getting better but there have been tons of set backs as well.
They need a straight up rp system. All Season 4 I (Platinum 1) have gained at most 12 rp even when against diamonds but i consistently lose 16+ rp for every loss. Its not worth it as a casual player.

@CrazyNoc This season has been the worst so far for rp gain for me. Definitely has made me rethink playing which sucks because I'm a Master reindog player. I tried every morning before work, after work and late night everyday for 2 weeks and the result were always the same of 8rp per win (rare 12rp win) and consistent 16rp loss. I guess MVS want some of us to quit playing lol. I wish it was more fair.

I come from Tekken and movement for me is very appealing to see, the very thought of being able to break normal movement is what attract me to video games. Heck, it was the very reason I even played this game.
Yeah should have been more worried about map selection for ranks, Superman buffs I already knew it was gonna die when they kept releasing skins but not patches smh
I got addicted to the game from beta. Was #16 garnet. Slowly getting better but all the lame play gives me old man rage. Hopefully shields fix it.

We definitely need this game speed back with some adjustments and I think it would be better then ever
just gonna repost a comment I made:
-input lag is painful. I'll input an attack and the game takes 2 or so seconds to actually throw the attack out, I often need to smash the buttons to get the fucking thing to register
-zero whiff on so many characters, also the ability to cancel out of attacks means for a lot of characters there's no opportunity cost for throwing out dozens of attacks per secon
-the infamous broken hitboxes/hurtboxes/disjointed hitboxes
-attack priority is messed up and illogical. it always feels like a dice roll as to, when two attacks are thrown out at the same time, whose is going to take priority over the other
-everything is too fast, fast characters can move like a blur and there's no time to react to anything. The speed increase has made this even worse. This would be ok if not for the fact some characters are way faster than others and the egregious input lag
-dodge meter is too generous so you can just spam dodge all day and throw out flurries of attacks. Also the ability to dodge out of a punish and end up punishing the other player
-limited moveset for every character (as the game is aimed at casuals) so in high level play you can only consistently use a few attacks which leads to egregious spamming. Also only one or two pathways to combos
-obnoxious combos for certain characters that can at least 0-80 you further discouraging an aggressive playstyle
1v1 is such a fucking nightmare to play. a game of cat and mouse where both players sit in a corner running back and forth until someone throws an attack out. PFG cannot design strong combat mechanics, and as a Supes main I really feel you because currently I'm just finding myself frustrated when playing the game, even during matches I end up winning
I said the same thing. They really need to cut our dodges in half. Its way too easy for your opponent to spam jabs in your face, dodge backwards after every one and then just run away until their dodge meter refills

I fought a diamond Harley today and I genuinely couldn't land a hit on her because she was dodging around the place faster than light, she can cancel out of any animation/slow and speed up movement at a whim and can zoom around the map like a mosquito with her run speed. The entire game was her waiting for me to try and throw out an attack, she'd catch a whiff with a broken hitbox and then go to town on me with an unescapable combo. I'm moving through treacle as a superman main fighting a player that I physically am not able to punish because she has so many easy get out of jail cards
@Sam-uk4mb don't even get me started on Morty. Idk why he needs more dodge distance than everyone else. They just sit on their side of the stage spamming grenades and ax swings and anytime you approach he just dodges away what feels like an entire quarter length of the stage.

What i loved about the beta is that if you are better than your opponent YOU ALWAYS WIN and it was CLEAR who was the better player

I think my least favorite mechanic added to the game is being able to attack out of dodge, because if a player is good at using it, it makes gameplay outright suffocating. Seriously, every Beetlejuice I've come across just loves to get up in my face and not let me breath for even a single second. It kinda makes the game not as noob friendly ironically enough. I've mentioned this when the game re-released, but I wonder if the game would've been better off if it was closer to the beta. I've only played the beta once, so I don't think I can give a fair opinion, but I think the only changes they should've made was adding in the burnout state when you run out of dodge meter, and the additions of parries and dash attacks, and I think everything else could've stayed the same.
also the ability to cancel out of attacks is so damn obnoxious. No punishment or commitment to anything and it makes characters like Harley near impossible to deal with

The insanity rifts were nearly impossible for me. I spent the entire first season trying to get it and came just a few points short. Needed just a day or two more.
I'm still bitter about it lol I worked so hard, barley even played pvp (rifts weren't even good) and I still didn't get the skin in the end. Rough!

I think class perks would be cool too. A 5th perk where it's dependant on class. Like tanks take less damage from behind or gain gray health as after 50 damage or something. Assasins gaining an extra 1 damage every 3rd hit or a 3rd jump. Something like that

They said they would increase the speed and then they increased the walking speed only for a couple characters. Crazynoc I normally disagree with you most of the time bc of the raging. I understand thats kinda how ur channel just is but sometimes it rly makes some people that think that you just want the game to burn down to the ground and just get deleted from the world all together, I am saying that for the people who are struggling with the game to learn its mechanics that also just see 1 video from you then think oh this isn't even worth it anyway. I do agree tho with you on how some of the old stuff from the beta should come back. I just didn't like the glitchy feel where people would be on the other side of the map then i would be in a combo and just die at 60-70 and there was no way for me to react. that could have had to do with the net code tho which i did notice that you touched on and I do appreciate that. I think however, that if they just combine some of the beta stuff with the current game we will have a way better game in general than either of the 2 and I think you would agree with me there tbh. I also want to see the game in a better state than its in the teching should be instant and you will have to hard read where they are going to be instead of being stuck on the ground for what feels like an entire 3 seconds. @ I feel with a Limit to Movement we are Forced to play around these rules of limitation. This is something I like. Having no limit to movement in the beta made the game actually get stale to me. The reason for this is simply due to the Beta’s Gameplay not feeling challenging to me. With Limitations come a fun challenge, this is of course Subjective for me.
@ oh I agree with you. I don’t want it to purely be based on spam dodge and attack miss to dodge again. I want more responsive and a bit faster movement though. I also don’t want cancelling out of moves other than normal attacks. I want more whiff on kill moves, etc. just give me more responsiveness

Ranked is by far the stupidest mode. Platform fighters are meant to he fun. Throwing ranked in an unfair game and locking exclusive skins behind is it a horrible idea. On top of that the way they implement their event and event skins is awful. Zero reason they should have gleemium exclusive skins during events when event currency is a thing

It's almost as if there's 2 masterminds out there fighting for the control of the game. MVS shutting down sounds crazy when the devs always sound excited whenever they release a new update, it's all so weird with this game.
