ah grew up on Marine Drive East and at cliff edge just east becton lane oo those gylleys. natural short cut to beach and onto becton bunny. up and down we'd scramble catching on gravel ouch awful orange stained clothes or covered in sticky clay Naish wat but we knew no go near quicksand bits. That was for the GROCKLES to find...so oops us kids tearing around the cliffs late 60s to mid 70s making slides of them and adding to erosion. since about 69 saw the octagonal hut by shops move back twice. worst thing to happen is starving Milfors from shingle with sea defences. Horrendous erosion to east of Beacon cliff. longshore drift is what it is! never mind Bournemouth, save Milford and keyhaven marshes. oh and Hurst spit....
