  • Crow Practice guides you through a sequence of yoga poses that will help you take flight. It's not about the yoga pose but how you get there! Stretch out, warm up and connect to the deeper muscles that will lift you up and guide you to fly in Bakasana. Check out the Foundations of Crow Practice for full Bakasana tutorial.
This practice is a great one to repeat! Work to be present each time you arrive back on your mat and watch both your awareness and the asanas grow!
    Namaste.

Every time I have tried Crow Pose in my practices with Adrienne, I've been unable to do Crows Pose. For some weird reason, out of nowhere, today I was able to do it - it was just for a second or two but I feel I am starting to make progress. Its like my body aligned itself and then did it. It has made me realise more and more that when we manifest what we want, set intentions and just try, we can eventually make something happen - even if we don't ever think we can!

I really enjoyed the "pre-crow" sequence....lovely stretching/strengthening, and it was fun to be aware of how you were building us toward crow with the poses/shapes. It felt really empowering to be moving into/toward crow with that preparation - and also just made it a great practice aside from the worthy challenge of crow!

Blessed Beloved Beauties! Motivate Day - 11 was substituted for " 10 Minute Morning Yoga" instead. I just don't have the time today. My husband and I are anxious to check out a vegan food truck visiting from California, and we're going by another vegan spot to pick up our treat. We rarely do sweets, so this is truly a celebration. We will work it off tonight and tomorrow. I am energized and refreshed from the practice I chose. Best wishes, everyone, and happy Saturday! 🦋♥️🦋

I loved this practice. I nearly did a different practice today because my initial belief was that I'm not ready for crow pose. However, this taught me the beauty of giving things a go anyway, and accepting my body's current limits. Amazingly, today my attempt at crow felt right in my body, I got one foot off of the mat! MOTIVATE ⚛ | March 11, 2023 | I really appreciate the strengthening that happens in this practice, but I will say that my body was feeling a bit tired today from yesterday's Core & Restore practice and the Shakti Power Flow from earlier this week. So while my crow didn't soar for very long today, I feel like I got a good workout. Also while looking for a bit more info, I realized that there is a slight difference between Crow (Kakasana) and Crane (Bakasana) pose. I think I've been trying to do a mixture of the two. 🙏

    10.25 🧘🏿‍♂️ 25th day of PLAY!
Now today, I would usually be on my perfectionist mode saying that 'I need to get it in one go!' but today's practice, the crow, taught me alot about practicing and building my foundation. It'll take me some time to get there but as long as I work with it and don't take myself too seriously. I modified some of the poses well and it worked out greatly. The great thing is that I was very close to getting crow today! I wasn't up all the way but it was a jumping start. 🙏🏾

Crow pose is a posture that eludes me. I've been closer to it in the past, but after succeeding once and subsequently falling face first, I haven't really managed to build up the momentum anymore. Maybe it's the fear of falling? Maybe I don't have the same core strength as I did before? Whatever it is, I always feel completely exhausted when attempting crow. Funny how these things work sometimes!

ADRIENE! I have just recently started doing your videos (at the beginning of October), and I AM ADDICTED. I suffer from Parkinson's, and was wondering if maybe in the future you could do a video, YOGA FOR CHRONIC ILLNESSES. I have to adjust and modify so much... my main area of concern is my legs and shoulder blade tightness. I love the wheelchair video btw, because even on bad days there is still a practice I can do. THANK YOU for all of your hard work and dedication, you're videos have helped me more than I can say:)

I was just thinking about this as well! My mom suffers from Parkinson's and I would like to get her doing some yoga, but like you said, so much needs to be modified. I would love a video for people with mobility concerns and balance problems!

Andrew... I'm curious, would you be willing to discuss your parkinsons with me. My mother was diagnosed 4 years ago and I'm interested in getting some ideas of what you do to slow the progression. Just a thought, if it's not for you i understand completely.

My progress with crow is apparent to me because of how I approach it in practice. I am not so hard on myself when I “don’t get it” because it’s all an exploration. Playtime! The more I play and explore, the more I seem to “get it” and realize that there is even more to uncover! Such is life. Yoga is so beautiful. It is all about balance. ☯️
See you tomorrow, namaste 🙏🏼 ❤

Blessed Beloved Beauties! I really appreciate Play - Day - 25. Despite the fact full crow pose did not manifest today. There are still feelings of strength and self-determination. Formally, crow came easy to me about 4 years ago before my body went through a traumatic experience of countless fibroids. Two years ago I had a UFE procedure and my body has been healing every sense. I will return to full crow pose in the near future. Best wishes everyone! Continue to push on and off the mat! Namaste and Ase! 🦋 ❤❤🦋

@@yogawithadriene I've been following your 30 days of yoga practice (which has totally got me hooked on yoga!) and have been practicing crow for the last week. I really thought I was not strong enough yet but after reading your comment that it's about awareness more than about strength, I thought: let's give it 1 more shot today. And suddenly, I was able to hold it for 4 seconds!!! Thank you so much for all the inspiration you keep giving me, every day of my yoga journey.

I'm doing the October Calendar too, just finished the September Calendar and love it!! I usually do really hard workouts 3 times/week but I felt the same....I just needed to be gentler with myself and my body! Going for every day in October...I was super excited that I could perch on my toes and get my hands off the ground never mind the full crow!! Hahaha! Maybe I'll get there one day! Enjoy the day!!

I'm doing the June 2021 calendar and this practice reminded of the YWA upper body strength video, which was basically "Wanna have strong arms?....Do a ton of push ups." This crow video felt like "Want a strong body? Do a ton of planks."
However the thorough warm up did work because in crow I was able to keep my toes off the ground for a couple seconds and felt stable and strong doing it. I found that one good crow pose zapped my strength so I spent the rest of the time sending my weight forward, but keeping my toes on the ground.
