I've said this over and over again, if you really want to see San Francisco's sickness all you need to do is drive through the entire length of mission st.
Drug dealers, addicts, stolen goods, the occasional bum fights etc. And once you've reached Daly City you'll see the difference with how much San Francisco tolerates criminals, enables drug addicts and normalizes crimes.
This city doesn't realize the amount of mental toll it puts on its residents.

The city needs to do a heavy bleaching spraying. It always smelled like decades of urination and feces.

I have an idea 💡 why not put the criminals behind jail instead of closing public space! Clean that crap up! All that graffiti. I just read San Francisco is trying to fine a restaurant owner who is opening his restaurant in 2 months and keeps getting vandalized by graffiti. The city warned him he would be fined $332 if he didn’t clean it. We need to fine the city!! All this crap graffiti!!! Clean up SF!!

Instead of jailing criminals, treat the city like it’s one big jail.
Tourists and technical professionals love that sort of thing.

We need a referendum that DOCKS half the pay of city officials until they cut crime in half.
They’ve collected their bloated salaries without interruption. No matter how much they fail, their irrational pensions continue to swell.

Seems to me that it would be easy to enforce permits and punish illegal activity. I guess the officials would rather promote crime over supporting tax paying productive members of society.

The fence looks like shit - and closes a public space. Terrible solution

Love it. Those plazas are THE reason I avoid the area. I hope BART puts developments on them like they are doing with their other stations

It's hilarious how woke politicians are all about having fences within the US and around their properties but not at the US border.

KPIX showed one side of this story and didn't talk to business owners who obtain permits, rent store fronts, pay taxes, and don't occupy sidewalks.

It’s never the criminals that are to blame. It’s a gun. It’s an area. THINGS are what cause crime.
Never the bad choices of individuals or the lawyers and leaders who work to protect them from accountability.

The City can react with force...if it messes with revenue collection. The TAX MAN wants his cut.
