Thank you for this video! I am post menopausal with early stage breast cancer, estrogen + with bone density in late osteopenia and Dr and I decided for me to go on tamoxifen to preserve bone. I have changed my eating habits, take calcium, magnesium and D, will walk, hike, dance and start lifting weights. So excited to see more of your videos and incorporate more healthy lifestyle choices! ♥️

Loving your videos! Just want to say that there are many calcium rich alternatives to dairy which is best avoided

Thank you for all this good info. At my Dr's they mention monitoring bones and heart, but not the why. It seems they assume you know this. Your explanation was clear and to the point!
I had a R mastectomy, radiation and now started on Tamoxifen. Also monthly injection of Zoladex. Thanks for the info on weight bearing exercises. Will look out for the video.

Thank you so much for this video, so timely for myself as I begin to fight signs of Lymphedema in my chest and left arm. I won't be able to get an evaluation until late August so I am beginning exercises and I am wearing compression items, ( a sleeve for my arm and a compression bra). Thanks for all the helpful information that propels me to be proactive with my health.

Thank you so much for doing this. The waiting list for a scan is 9 months, due to Covid. I take Letrozole, so I’m keen to have a scan. I do walk every day and I take calcium, magnesium with vitamin D, but I don’t know if I’m doing enough to prevent osteoporosis

Hi Jen, Thanks for the information on Osteoporosis I have osteopenia after my breast cancer and radiation I stated taking the hormone blockers, but no one has told me about any other off the counter tabs I can take to help with my problem, it's hard for me to do a lot of exercise as my joints are sore since I stopped chemo it's not the hormone tabs as my joint pain started before I took letrozole, would you suggest I take something for some help with my ostoepenia, I do keep myself as active as I can. Finding your video's very informative and helpful Thanks again. 😊❤

These videos are absolutely awesome. MORE useful and thorough information than I have received from my care team bc care team is concerned w treatment only...not managing all the possible long term side effects. You have to have a good GP to do that and in Canada there is such a shortage right now that proper care is falling thru the cracks. I am a care in point. Didn't have a GP in Ottawa where I lived for 3 years thru COVID and thus my mammogram wasn't followed up on. It should have been but the MediCentre Doctor didn't. Just requisitioned a mammogram bc I asked him to. Wasn't sent for a bilateral ultrasound despite having dense breast tissue. A year later - stage 3 Triple Negative breast cancer tumour in lymphnodes. It could have been caught at stage 1 w an ultrasound. Anyone reading this...if you have dense breast tissue (ASK IF YOU DONT KNOW!!!) INSIST ON A BILATERAL ULTRASOUND EVERY MAMMOGRAM!! small tumors can go undetected in dense breast tissue.

Hi Melanie, I haven't heard of that restriction before but this may be specific to your chemotherapy regime. Is that for a particular chemotherapy you're on? Jen

Thanks so much for the information Jen 😊
I have finished radiation a month back and right now on Tamoxifen and ... perimenopause.
Right now I am having severe joint pains and muscle pains ((which I used to have even before I was diagnosed with cancer ... Took b12 and D3 ... Did physio therapy and little muscle training .. two weeks just before I started cancer treatment)) ... . And I am lactose intolerant. Now it's started all over again. I am walking but each day my strength is reducing. And pains are increasing. I have no strength to even trim my nails with a nail cutter 🙄. The fingers and knuckles are that painful.
    Could you please suggest something?

Hi Bindu, SO sorry for my delayed reply. I am just catching up on TH-cam comments tonight finally. Your symptoms definitely need further investigation by a medical doctor. I would suggest at least a blood test. Those symptoms may not be necessarily related to your cancer diagnosis. I hope this helps but this is definitely an area where you need a medical opinion. Jen
