- Well guys, sorry for the delay but here it is.
It finally happened.
After surviving a vicious shark attack, cancer and two vets suggesting euthanasia (actually), a grimmace shake, countless wars, eating a metal building, a ferari fire, sleeping with wilbur soot ,tank, and tomas innit, missing teeth, and several texas freezes, his sus wife who turned out to be a boy, and consuming every creature i could catch, I like to believe Biggerton lived a much longer and happier life than he would have somewhere else. He trully was the greatest and most accomplished prairie dog to ever live. Thank you for letting me show him to you these last couple years, and i especially thank you for all of the kind words and compialtions and art you sent me over the last week dedicated to him. You guys trully are the best community on this accursed internet.
Moving forward,
I will be shifting most if not all of my focus on preparing the wildlife rehab offices (the barn and the old crackhouse) for the upcoming busy season in the spring! Its very likely we will be getting dozens if not hundreds of squirrels opossums raccoons hawks doves beavers bobcats foxes coyotes etc etc etc in our first couple months so we are opening donations again for the first time in a year or so for these expenses. (Thank you to everyone who donated money in the yourhbe comments-but youtube takes 30% of that and i pay income taxes on it!) i also have put all of my personal income into the ranch and the animals over the last two years and i fully plan to continue doing so. our nonprofit paypal donation link below does not take 30% and because it all goes back to public service we dont pay taxes on it. (So less money for the go government to waste and more for the rescue) lll also be working on a comemorative prairie dog enclosure with an expert in her field that specializes in prairie dog enclosures for zoos internationally. (An actual ouncetopia if you will!)

I'll never forget that time Big Ounce singlehandedly saved that entire orphanage from a meteor by eating the meteor. Witnessing such a feat of heroism, athleticism and digestion is the kind of thing that never leaves you.

I'm a 31 year old man, sitting in my living room crying for a Prarie dog I've never met. I feel so bad for that little guy. He was beyond lucky to have Ben as an owner. Grief and pain are things left behind by our loved ones. They feel no pain, have no worry and move on to a happier place.

If it weren’t for big ounce id still be trapped in a sunken ship out in the Bermuda triangle. He bravely swam 80 meters deep on half a breath of air and a lit cigarette in his mouth. I’ll always wonder how he kept the cigarette lit underwater. After he dragged me out he gave me cpr for 45 straight minutes, while simultaneously, pleasing my wife, as i have been unable to do so. I woke up to the moans and yahoos. As my eyes opened all i could see was the silhouette of big ounce and the sun shining behind him. Truly an angel❤

I was moved to tears by the end. How wonderful it is to have such a poignant video memory of your time with him. It’s comforting to see that Uncle Ben gave him such a good life. The loss of such a strong bond with an animal is always heartbreaking. That last “wohoo!” was so poignant. It looks like Uncle Ben was understandably upset as well, even though he hides it well because he’s a gigachad. Rest easy, Big Ounce!

There I was, piloting my X-wing down this trench of a gigantic space station (long story) we were attacking, when I realized several enemy fighters were on my ass and closing fast...... I was screwed. Suddenly outta nowhere, I see the Millenium Falcon diving on and annihilating my pursuers to screams of "yahoo!" over the radio. Yes, it was Big Ounce.

You forgot how he helped in the fire of 87, how he stopped the terror attacks in 89 and 90, how he’s defeated the grizzly in 91, before retiring from being professional world hero in 92. I met him in 07 and he casually saved my life and went about his day. He’s the truest of heros.

A loving husband in a same sex marriage none the less, truly pushing boundaries on every front, and a friend to everyone.
I know this is a celebration of Big Ounce but I just want to say this really is a testament to how special what Uncle Ben does is. Not only for the incredible lives he gives to these animals but the connection he allows all of us to make with them too. I think the real collective mourning of all of these strangers for one sweet little Prairie Dog out in Waco Texas is a real gift in a very somber and special way.
We hope you’re doing well Ben, and thank you for letting us be a part of your life and your prayers.

Back in Ramadi, we were pinned down, taking heavy and accurate small arms and rpg barrages. Big Ounce was on QRF that day. I still remember seeing him standing up in the turret unloading the 240. His arrival and accurate engagement of the enemy resulted in 132 insurgents kia while rescuing many orphans from the orphange they were holding. He also saved my squad of Marines. He was given the Medal of Honor and will always be remembered. GOD BLESS CORPORAL BIG OUNCE SEMPER FI DEVIL DOG.😢

Big Ounce lived a great life, he would have lived a sad life in a small cage, but you saved him. He lived a life exploring the ranch, meeting many animals that a prairie dog would never have met, probably the only prairie dog to touch a literal shark, face off with rheas, and become friends with capybaras. He had a loving owner and caretaker. Thank you Uncle Ben for saving distressed animals and making people all around the world happier. I’m fairly new to the channel and have been watching through past videos. I’ve been searching for my old buddy from the war for a long time. So, imagine my surprise when I see BO, (that’s what we all used to call Big Ounce),on this awesome TH-cam channel. He saved my life back in the war. Right as I was about to step on a land mine he warned me with a yahoo and I avoided what would have been a disaster. I’m so glad that I at least got to see what a wonderful life you had while on the ranch. I’ll Yahoo and pour one out for you buddy and I’ll never forget you! ❤

I’m a 34 year old mother of 4 children who grew to love Big Ounce just as much as my children do! watching “Urban Rescue” has been a cherished family time that has actually bonded us closer as a family! It broke my heart to see “Remembering Big Ounce” pop up today..There wasn’t a dry eye in our living room. I'm a grown man and war veteran. I've been through a lot in my life. I've barely cried at the last 5 funerals I've been to including my mother and grandparents. This had me in tears. I mean that's the sad joke of toxic masculinity is we're taught through example that those tenants make us more of a man but really all they do is make us less human. I know it's a stupid term for it but most men, especially 30+ have those same problems the newer generation may not make sense to us with their pronouns and their having sex that is NOT missionary position with no eye contact. But I mean I think they have the right idea and their parents had better tools than ours to raise them, and they have better tools than we did at developmental ages that could help them course correct. It took like 7 years of therapy to realize it is okay to cry. It helps me to think of it like peeing lmao. You have to. It is flushing "toxins" (mainly cortisol, the stress hormone) out of your body. You probably have PTSD and if you do, your worsening short term memory is caused by your brain literally taking a bath in cortisol and it's affecting your hippocampus. They are testing guided MDMA trips for combat PTSD with miraculous results. So maybe that's something that will be available to you some day. I hope you can get some therapy and help yourself so you can better take care of your loved ones(and yourself.) Be well brother.

Big Ounce's story shows everything great about the Urban Rescue Ranch. Ben was able to take an animal that was living its entire life in a small cage with nothing to look forward to, and not only give him a better place to live, but bring him on one adventure after another that no prairie dog could have even imagined himself going on. Both Ben and this fanbase did an amazing job helping an overweight rodent rescued from a pet shop become probably the most famous individual of his species to ever live. I'm sure that Big Ounce himself helped the ranch a ton by bringing in new viewers (myself included) and earning TH-cam money to raise funds for ranch projects. Ben is quite possibly the best human being on TH-cam right now, and I hope that he can rescue so many more animals from bad situations and give them a forever home.
And as long as we continue to watch videos of him and keep up the jokes, Big Ounce will live forever.

Biggerton was a hero. He has fought in many wars and pushed through the toughest battles. He made me deadlift 250 at the gym.
You can easily say he lived a better life than any other pet could've dreamed
And it is that knowledge that makes him and others continue what he does. WIth how sad it is that biggerton ounce passed, he and so many animals on the farm will have lived a better life, than any other pet and even many humans could ever ask for.

Big Ounce was, in all seriousness, a once-in-a-lifetime little guy. I think he was so, so happy with you Ben, I've watched him since the beginning and he loved you so much, he was so well behaved, and just an amazing little prarie dog. He survived severe neglect and cancer and he went so many places with you! He taught me so many things about prairie dogs that I never thought I'd know.

@@mrcrazy7865prairie dogs live on average 5 to 8 years as pets. And apparently poor Ouncerton was not taken care of properly before he got into loving Uncle Ben's hands. So that probably didn't help in the long run. 😢

I’ll never forget that time Big Ounce performed life saving open heart surgery on my 4 year old son back in 04. In all seriousness, when i first stumbled across this channel nearly 2 years ago Big Ounce was the first critter at the urban rescue ranch I truly fell in love with and looked forward to seeing with every upload. Our animal friends teach us more than we could have expected, and love us more than we could have hoped. That’s why we miss them more than we ever could have imagined…

I'm literally crying right now. Big Ounce has helped cure me of my depression. Every time he did his signature "WAHOO" it healed my soul. I don't think Big Ounce could fully understand just how much joy and happiness he brought to us all. But I'm happy to know he spent the last years of his life enjoying it with Uncle Ben.
