Ok, just watching some of your old videos and this fabric store kind of creeps me out! LOL! Now, I do sew and love me a good fabric store, but wow, this would be overwhelming!
😍I love watching a woman in love. My old heart melts to watch you two. Thank you both👍 He seems like the one👏🙏
You two laughing is everything. I would be claustrophobic.
There are still tales in that town about people going in to buy fabric, never to be seen again......
What a HUGE Fire hazard. If there ever was a fire no one would be able to escape.
Oh my that’s what you call a hoarder. People would not like the shopping experience lol.
I am gob-smacked! I guess the local fire department looks the other way when it comes to inspections. Charming.
Probably related to. We're talking a town of 580 folks, in Lancaster County, Pennsy.
OMG !! the fabric store was unbelievable,I laughed So hard I had to take a bathrm. break, thank you for sharing 🤣🤣 🌸🌸
You can hear the happiness in your voice Karen, out with your man and finding great stuff!
You are so giggly and fun with your man along. Fantastic fabric store! I learn from every one of your videos
I am a quilter and that store was scary, it was a fire trap. I don't know how you could select fabrics for quilts with everything piled high. The prices you read on the one bolt of fabric was an excellent price.
As you are saying “This is fantastic”. I’m thinking this is a nightmare!
Roger seems nice. Easy going with similar interests. I liked the quilted area of that one shop. Yes it was amusing from the over abundance of material & close quarters. If you can't find what you are looking for, in that shop of material, you have a problem! ha.....fun shopping day.
He is a KEEPER Karen-- Loved the video of you 2 together having fun!! So glad you have a shopping buddy!! I am jealous.
Oh my word! The fabric store is more like a death trap than Aladdin's cave. If one of the tilting aisles fell, someone could be killed. Those people need some sort of program and be barred from ordering fabric for at least 50 years! 😂
Great to see that your guy makes you laugh. It is so fun to talk to other resellers, what a great time you must have together!
Your new friend is very handsome and seems to match you very well - I like his demeanor.
I like his demeanor too 😂👍
Oh my goodness! I have been going to Obie's since I was a girl with my Mom driving all the way from NJ! i recall Mr. Obie also. Even went with my parents as an adult. One visit I admired a beautiful quilt hanging over the railing on the second floor and my Dad bought it for me! That place holds so many memories for me! Thank you Karen!!!!!!
Click bait! Good for you! Love it 😊
A quilters mother load come true!! My mother and grandmother quilted. I have several of my beloved mom’s quilts. AMAZING store!!! 🥰❤️🥰❤️
OH my gosh !! My mother who passed away in December and my sister both are quilters. You would not be able to get them out of that fabric store !! That was really awesome. Thanks for showing it to us.
When your video didn’t appear yesterday I said,” there’s a man involved “.
😂 No, just technical issues
Oh wow…..my fabric addiction fighting my claustrophobia.
Wow! I am a quilter and I could spend days in there! Nice to see you out with your guy, He’s quite handsome.
Omg, I’ve passed that store for years and never stopped in. I’ll have to pay them a visit. Nice to see “your guy” with you and you two enjoying time together. He’s very handsome!
A quilter’s paradise! The quilts are incredible. (There must be no fire codes there.)
That fabric store! Good thing that is not in earthquake country! Roger: your best find yet!
I’ve never in my lifetime had a male friend that likes to shop. Over a million sales??!!! Roger is a keeper. Look at Karen surrounding herself with people she can learn from. Our Karen is one smart cookie. 🍪
He is adorable! Well done!
That fabric store is cra cra!!
The fabric stores reminds me of my Civil War reenacting days. I used to go to Philly to 4th Street (Fabric Row), and many of the stores were very much like that, but just along the walls, piled to the ceiling with all kinds of fabric. Some stores just had trims and laces. I used to buy silk there for my reenacting dresses. Roger is a keeper (and handsome, too!). I'm so happy for you both!
The store reminds me of old bookstores in barns you see up in Maine - the second floor definitely reminds me of one, except you couldn't see too much of the wooden floor, as they had scatter rugs everywhere. Yeahhh, that seemed odd to me, also. And then, one caught on my foot and I went to straighten it out and - oh! hey! there's the first floor ;-
Is the fabric store still at 4th Street
Your guy. So cute and fun!
As for the store, it's like a fabric hoarders house!
🥰Lookout it's the The DREAM TEAM .how great is that ! dating a reseller, so ya all understand each other's busy lives and like to spend weekends thrift store hopping . has your sense of humor too & what a bonus that's he's handsome & looks like he could bench press you .💪😁
😂👍 he’s crazy strong
OMG…I started having palpitations just watching you walk in that store! My claustrophobia kicked in and I wasn’t even there 🤣🤣🤣
Thanks for taking us along on your day of shopping! Wow, what an adventure!
This is like the store my mother use to buy fabric from, but it wasn’t just quilting material. My prom dress material came from . No longer around. I sure wish it were
Places like that usually have mice...alot of them...lolol
I am a quilter and I have a fabric addiction and that was CRAZY 😜. I think somebody bought too much fabric 😂
Amazing I've never seen that much fabric per cubic feet in my life!
I'm so happy you have found a lovely man like Roger congratulations Karen you deserve to be happy
I Can't Believe what I'm Seeing! Beautiful Fabrics
WOW! I used to think I was a fabric hoarder. Not anymore. Even at my worst, I only had 1/1000th of this, or less. Now, after giving most of it to Goodwill, 3 sterilite bins, carefully curated, is all I have left. 😁
WOW! I love old shops like that but I won't lie, the whole time i"m thinking, "OMG, this is massive FIRE HAZARD! Get out of there!" HAHAHAHHA Glad you made it out safe, lol. And yay for the new BEAU. He's a cutie!
Shopping joy in Pennsylvania..wish I was there...those quilts!
I’m surprised the fire dept allows that fabric store to be open. What a beautiful hoard though.
Fabulous trip! So glad you have someone to enjoy it with. That fabric store! I would have been so overwhelmed ;)
Fun, fun, Fun! I've been to many fabrics stores like that from the lofts in NYC, Amish Country stores and stores here in GA, and in Florida. Crazy! I hope this shop never gets a leak in their roof! I am a quilter. I would like to know if stores like this ever sell anything. Best wishes to you and Roger! You'll have amazing adventures together! XO
Amazing store! It was perfect, including your guy. 😄
OMGawsh! Those quilts!!!
Well Karen he is very handsome indeed!!!! I have found that a sense of humour making each other laugh is vital. Anyhoo that was one shopping trip looking forward to your haul video much love to you and the family from Scotland xx
I couldn't bear being in that store...and I'm not claustrophobic. Too much, I'd never be able to make any decisions. I'd be afraid to pull out a bolt. Aarrgghh!
At first I thought the carriages and boxes out front was FREE stuff to take! That would have been a great score. But that store is insane! Hopefully no one who's claustrophobic had issues walking thru there. Where you live has the best goodwills...flea markets auctions and stores!!
Can you imagine the weight in this building! 😳 The fabric store that is.
I was wondering about the weight on the second floor! So many great fabrics!
Those creaking floors when you went upstairs, I was scared you would come crashing down 🤣🤣
Oh my goodness!! I was getting claustrophobic just watching the video!! 4 mins into the video, I was thinking “I gotta get out!”
I am shocked the fire department hasn't shut them down. That is a major safety issue. Wow!
Horrible place.
I loved the quilts!! So nice to meet Roger! Y’all really had a great time. I kept saying to myself, “Be careful and do not pull something out that causes y’all to be buried in there.” Lol
Wow! My mother-in-law would be in heaven in that fabric store. So wonderful you have found someone to share your thrifting adventures with! You definitely deserve that!
Wow! I've never seen a store that stacked up with anything before...I kept thinking, fire hazard...I mean any kind of natural disaster you are trapped so I'm surprised whatever place that is, allows it to be a store. I liked the little signs on the stairs: all sales final. LOL. Ok, I'll keep watching...see what you find up in the quilts now.
Oh my what a place! Great to see your "friend" and you having a wonderful time together.
This was worth the wait! Keep us up to date…. 😉
Silver Fox!!😍😍
Wait to go Kare!!
I love fabrics... but this place is beyond crazy!! I could not stand being in that store..claustrophobic I guess.
Hi Karen! I am so happy for you! Funny thing is that I have always felt that you and I have so much in common and now even more so. My first husband's name is Roger, he is my sons dad, we got married very young and got divorced young as well. Now I am 62 and did remarry almost 4 years ago and guess what? I married another Roger lol. These are the only two Roger's I know lol. I have told my husband now that I married the wrong Roger the first time, he must of missed school that day lol ( we actually all went to the same high-school). I hope your Roger is as sweet as mine ❤, xoxo Lori K 🌹🥀🏵💐🌹🥀🏵💐🌹🥀🏵💐🌹🥀🏵💐🌹🥀🏵💐🌹🥀🏵💐🌹🥀🏵💐🌹🥀🏵💐🌹🥀🏵💐🌹🥀🏵💐🌹🥀🏵💐🌹🥀🏵💐🌹🥀🏵💐🌹🥀🏵💐🌹🥀🏵💐🌹🥀🏵💐🌹🥀🏵💐🌹🥀🏵💐🌹🥀🏵💐🌹🥀🏵💐🌹🥀🏵💐🌹🥀🏵💐🌹🥀🏵💐
English saddles tend to be lighter in weight and lack pommels with working saddle horns. The front area is still called a pommel, but it lacks a horn. There are other types too, one of the oddest is the saddle rigged for a women to ride side saddle.
And don’t overlook pack saddles and camel saddles, both can be very collectable.
Love the fabric store. I would have spent hours in there looking. My only problem is that I’m a full figured gal and I’d probably get wedged into one of those aisles!! Hahahaha!! 😂🤣 Thanks for taking us along on your thrifting tour!! ❤️
Me too. I would be like Winnie the Pooh, stuck half in & half out of an aisle. 🤣🤣
@@citybrocante916 Exactly!! LOL!! 😂🤣
You found a hoarder shop thats crazy lol ...wow hope it doesn't collapse on anyone 😯
I love old shops and old bannisters I was going to ask it's history just as u asked :)
Those quilts are AMAZING!!
The fabric store, just how…it can’t possibly be insured…speechless
Thanks for sharing. Each time we see you on video it’s like catching up with a friend!
You certainly did go out and get what's yours! Handsome! :)
The first thing I thought was OMGoodness, what if there was a fire! Kinda scary…. 🤭
Interesting though!
Yup...I know all about Obie’s! I always wonder how OLD that candy is! I can’t believe you’re local and have NEVER been in there! I hope you bought that quilt.....
Doing the yearly inventory in that store has got to be crazy lol! Love all your videos!
I’m so sorry, I did not tell you about that place.
The first time I went in, I was scared to death !
The second time, I actually got around, and during COVID, I ordered and picked up on that porch .
She has fabric, no one else has, and of course the selection is overwhelming.
Joan, I was overwhelmed when i went into Obies but it is a great store for fabric. Just can't see it all. LOL! I am going back there in 2-3 weeks. Can't wait.
@@michelerouse5109 , I know, I do not go in alone, as much as I like fabric, I do not want to die there,
Nan is very nice, when you get to know her, but she is overwhelmed, and old enough to retire !
I’m retired too, so I like going during the week, less people there.
We’re you at the fabric shop across the street, it is down the driveway by the church, it is very nice, oa
That fabric store reminded me of the old stores in NY. Still a few around. Sometimes the floor would be giving way. And the cellars!! Was that all quilting type cottons?
Yes!
WOW. What a great fabric store. Thanks for sharing. Just found your channel and subscribed.
OMG that fabric shop! How can it ever meet local fire codes?
Oh he’s a handsome fella! So sweet that he’s shopping with you. Did he buy you that quilt? (The one you liked at the first shop.)😊
So happy for you. 💕
OMG That fabric store, WOW!!! That second store you went to, you looked at that colorful paisley bedding, did you pick that up? It was Ralph Lauren Emerson Paisley and is HTF!!! I hope you did!! Really enjoyed this one today! Thanks Karen!!
Wow! I love and collect fabric! But I would have to organize it. Wish I could go there
Wow what a blessing to have a man who can keep up with you on a shopping adventure and love it as much as you.
The question is can I keep up with him? 😂
"Why is that so funny??" That DID make me LOL!!!
He's handsome for a older gentleman and in decent shape, you go gilrl.
Hi Karen, That's a Russ troll and they're from the 90s (along with Treasure Trolls). The older, more valuable ones are DAM trolls made by Thomas Dam. They usually have felt outfits. Another brand is Uneeda and the trolls are called Wishniks. Hope this was helpful!
Wow…a quilter’s dream come true❤️
👀👍🤙😆 Who else is scouuuuurring 'said' video for any n' alllll footage of the fella?!
Me!…..LOL! ☑️☑️☑️☑️☑️
The tour of the fabric shop is hysterical!! Loved the end too. Thank you or all the fun videos that entertained your 36,000 viewers through the pandemic!!
Karen I loved the video but this is as close to that shop as I want to be. I would have been so claustrophobic my anxiety would have hit the roof and all of the colors and patterns would have turned my brain to mush. Thanks for taking one for the team and showing us the shop lol I think. :)
I love the fabric store 😍 I wish I could go but I live in Vancouver Canada 🇨🇦. Thank you for taking us shopping with you:)
I can relate, we still have this kind of shop here 😂😂😂😂😂
When u said how do you get outta here! We have to live here! I was laughing so hard 😂😂😂
All I can say is wowsers😅😅 I don't know if I should be really excited(I love and collect fabric) or horrified! What happens if a stack of fabric fell?..actually I think I would spend hours in that shop think my love of fabric outways the danger. 😂😂😂
wow unbelievable store! I hope the code enforcers never find out about it, amazing treasure!
Im sure that they must be aware
Someone is thriving big time @ a quilters paradise 🥳🥳🥳
OG MY GOODNESS this fabric store is nuts...and the selling of beverages is hysterical to me!!
You two must get along so good.
Hi Karen, when you said “We’ll have to live here now” I was drinking coffee and almost spit it out! Lol! I love old country stores but not sure I’d have been brave enough to go upstairs! Lol! Love a man should will shop, and a great sense of humor! Please share his eBay store if you can, he sounds like a great guy would love to see his store! 😀Cheers, Pat
I live near this store and shopped there once. It is so insane the disorder.
I’m drooling of all the quilts. I’ve never seen so many all in one place!
Karen you said you hit 12 stores with your new friend; Roger. So nice that you share the thrifting bug together. Nice that you can laugh about the same stuff.
This was a good trip and so many wonderful things.... Thanks Karen this was super amazing!!
I felt claustrophobic just watching you in the fabric store! I like Roger, he seems sweet! Roger is my son's middle name, named after my late dad, Roger. 💞
That fabric store brought back so many memories of stores in ny. Still are a few.
