I love seeing you and Chris and Chiaki all hanging out together, I've enjoyed watching all of your guys' videos recently! You and Chiaki are both very lovely if I may say so, and the Dutch fellow looks almost just like my own Dutch friend Jos! We also make a game out of trying and failing to pronounce Dutch words XD.
I just watched the entire vlogmas series backwards (in late May) and really enjoyed it. I hope you do one again this December. It's really cozy and I can barely imagine how much this would hype me for christmas :D

You have no idea how happy it made me to see that the ryokan lists the ingredients in their buffet! Trying to find dairy free options is a struggle in general, but especially abroad; this place is definitely going on my list for a future trip to Japan.

I went to that ryokan and onsen for the Nebuta matsuri the summer before last! We could only stay for one night since it was so expensive, but I’ve never reached that level of relaxation before. My body was literally mochi by the time I left

When I was in primary school and had swimming classes at the local pool center, I remember using this type of hair dryer! I am in my twenties and it was in Poland ;)
I totally did not get the fact they tried saying 'gevulde koek' until the Dutch guy said it xD So happy you're doing Vlogmas! Will help me get into the Christmas spirits here in Australia :)
Had to travel back in time a day couldn't miss day 1. Love seeing how they decorate and the Japanese traditions regarding Xmas. Something about the beauty of the country and it's rich culture and traditions and the way they still honor the past. Has a strange hold on me, must have lived there in a passed life. Come to Utah, and specifically Park City, Utah. Beautiful snow/ski town, and home to the Sundance Film Festival; don't come at that time, unless you like traffic and crowds. And btw, that massage chair is dope. I'd stay at that hotel, just for the chair.
Japanese Hot Spring and Bath, they have a lot of hot springs throughout Japan. As the humidity is quite high in Japan, soaking in the bath is an age-long custom. The purpose of taking a bath is not only to wash our bodies but also to relax. We must wash ourselves outside the bathtub first, and then get into the bathtub. It is very relaxing to look at the scenery and nature of the seasons while soaking leisurely in a hot spring. I love to have a long soak in a hot spring when we can also overlook the sea, that is great!!
