Can the next episode of forgotten classics be 2022 WS game 1? It was SUCH a a great game. I actually went to this game as an Astros fan. It was my first ever WS game. Devastating loss but probably the most entertaining game I have ever attended.
I LITERALLY swatched this game highlights just a few days ago earlier this week, to me unforgettable as an Astros fan, and I am so happy Vazquez won a ring in Houston
Pivetta basically had the Eovaldi in this game, gave up a game 4 start to throw long relief. Rays relievers couldn’t keep up and combined with other big starts from Eduardo and Tanner Houck, the Rays lost an arm arms race. They've basically never recovered from this series
Also, the broadcast was insane during the ground rule double. It was a geniune break and they tried to pretend Renfroe knocked it over the wall. No rule changes needed!
It should be a double no matter what, but if that runner is taking off for second on the pitch you could argue Renfroe to second and Diaz scores. The run didn't matter in the end as it was a 2 run HR to walk it off, but there needs to be a rule for it. So far the precedent is the runner stays at third though.
@@matthewdaley746 as u can tell the Red Sox are my favorite mlb team but I do have a question in the 08 playoffs the Rays were in first place but the Angels were in second place but the Angels had 100 wins and 62 loses but on google and the AL Central Tiebreaker the White Sox beat the Twins 1-0 and they moved on to meet the Rays but shouldn't the Rays be in second place because they had 97 wins and 65 losses

The rays no doubt would have won the World Series if it wasn’t for the ridiculous ground rule double call. Just another example why the umpires favor large market teams over small market teams.
It was the right call idiot, if you actually took the time to watch the play and look at the rules, you would say damn the rays got unlucky. You are just a Red Sox hater (Rockies fan)
Lol no not at all. They're loss is so valid. Let's say Kiermeier's ground-rule double does score Diaz. 5-4 Rays w/2 outs and Kiermeier at 2nd. The next batter struck out, inning over, 5-4 Rays. In the bottom of that inning the Red Sox hit a 2-run homerun, 6-5 Red Sox. Basically you can complain you should've lost 6-5 and not 6-4 lol
I’ll never forget this as a Red Sox fan the 2021 team was awesome
Love that
Wish they went to the World Series :(
As an orioles fan, i was rooting for them that year. Wanted to see an old school matchup between the red sox and braves
@@Nextgen04 Plus no Astros in the World Series LOL
i was there. legendary day
Will never forget this one. Fenway was electric. The 2021 Sox were fun as hell
Really wish y’all took out Houston that year but least they didn’t win the World Series
As one of the 10 real Tampa fans in the world this being after snell got pulled in the WS quite literally broke our franchise
Recommendation, April of 2015 when the Nats came back to beat the Braves 13-12 with Dan Uggla’s go ahead three run shot in the ninth. Great game
That dude Enrique was on a heater this series and the first two games of the ALCS.
4:58 “I’ll take “Things That Aged Well” for $1000 Alex”
yea but you know what hasn't aged at all? His girlfriend
Franco really destroyed his own career
Imagine if Franco wasn’t an idiot
Still the best game I’ve ever watched live! I only started watching in 2021, but boy was that a fun year to be a Sox fan
I’ll never forget this game, I was up watching it with my dad and we both went crazy when Vazquez hit that homer. I’ll never forget it
Nick Pivetta really was the one☠️📈
As a red Sox fan this was an unforgettable game. The 2014 AL wild card next would be a good game for this series.
i wouldn't say it was forgotten
Lifelong Astros fan but this series was by far, THE most exciting series to watch in my opinion

@@miserablecardinalsfanthis game gets overshadowed by all the other games in the series

2021 Red Sox are so fun to watch
Ground rule double is criminal
We need Matt Vasgersian play by play back right now
amen
Nick Pivetta was an Electric Factory during this game
Laz Diaz.... What could have been

YES GIVE THIS GAME SOME RECOGNITION
Are there anymore Brewers games that you could possibly throw into the mix??
2018 NLDS Game 1
Red Sox were never the same
Good ass game
What a fun team. Why did we get rid of most of it???
I thought 2021 was to soon to do forgotten classics from I thought u were doing 2017 games like 2017 nlds games 2 3 5 wsh or chi or something.
This sucks to see again as a Rays fan...
Awesome.
Nothing forgettable about this one
Hey look….. franco 😞
Could u plzzzzz do the 2008 ALCS game 5 plzzzzzzz
