    Alex, thank you for doing this. Best review I've seen, period. It was all great, but the first part was an excellent comparison of the balls. It would be helpful to have the results of the first part for all the balls that you manufacture. Again, thanks!

    I'm a rev dominant 2 handed player at 14 mph and 420 RPM. Which of the 2LS layouts might you recommend for a house shot?

    • @stormbowling
      @stormbowling  วันที่ผ่านมา +5

      For a 14 MPH and 420 RPM layout, we recommend considering a slightly weaker pin position with a longer COG. A layout like 5 x 4 x 6 - 2LS with deep finger holes (around 3”) could be ideal. This setup helps spread the oil rings effectively without making the ball too early or aggressive. It offers a smoother, controlled motion while still delivering consistent performance on the lanes.

      @@stormbowling that's exactly the kind of motion I'm looking for in a ball like this. I appreciate it the recommendation and will take it to my PSO in a week or so!

    Great ball comparison - how close would the Level be to an original pour of the IQ Tour? I loved the original but the later ones arent as smooth and slow

    • @atbsigma
      @atbsigma วันที่ผ่านมา +1

      I have a heavily used original pour Tour. I’m willing to bet they both overlap a bit with where they would be played.

    Should show the big dawg physix bo or ion max with a low flare layout like
    90 x 1.5 x 45 and compare that to that data, same surface same patterns.

    My question for SPI is why they don’t just use a ThrowBot like other companies do now? Human error will always be there and can make certain balls look different than others by mistake. 🤔

    • @stormbowling
      @stormbowling  10 ชั่วโมงที่ผ่านมา +1

      Robots work within margins of error as well. This is why we use a 10 shot average with no pins and throw out shots that don't fit set criteria.. Alex explains how sometimes subconsciously you might try and make a ball strike when there are pins up.
      Alex is really good and a robot isn't as accurate as you may think.

    I know this isn't a brunswick channel but how close is the level to hammers nu blue like urethane?

    • @ianhoneycutt3858
      @ianhoneycutt3858 วันที่ผ่านมา

      You’ll have to go to a channel like The Hype Bowling for those reviews. Hell, even Luis Napoleon might do one in the near future, who knows.

    • @deadpolymers3416
      @deadpolymers3416 20 ชั่วโมงที่ผ่านมา +1

      Looks like it’s closer to the Rattler NU. The NU Blue is more like the old Pitch Purple. Looks like the Level cover is a bit stronger than the NU cover. Level and Rattler NU are close, but the RNU has a much stronger core and weaker cover. The NU Blue has a similar strength core to the Level and a weaker core, making it more skid snap.

    I'm a stroker player at 15 mph and 250 RPM. What layout do you recommend for a house shot?

    • @stormbowling
      @stormbowling  20 ชั่วโมงที่ผ่านมา +1

      If you're looking for layout advice, we highly recommend reaching out to our experts at tech@stormbowling.com for a tailored recommendation based on your unique style and specifications. Speed and rev rate are great starting points for general layout suggestions, but having additional details, like axis tilt and rotation, helps us provide the best guidance.
      For this particular scenario, the bowler is slightly speed dominant with a lower ball speed. A player with 250 RPM needs a stronger pin placement to help the ball generate more motion downlane. However, with slower speed, there’s no need for a short buffer layout. A layout such as 4 x 4 x 2 ½ is a solid starting point to balance strong motion and control.
      Feel free to reach out to us with any questions or specifics-we’re here to help you get the most out of your equipment!

      I honestly don't see this ball as a house shot ball, but absolutely would be a tourney ball, and thats coming from someone who doesn't throw any SPI products. What Alex is doing at SPI in the R&D is insane. But, it's also why he's one of the best bowlers in the region as well. Dude made back to back USBC Masters telecasts for a reason
