  • @modelnutty6503
    @modelnutty6503 ปีที่แล้ว +2

    heck yeah! I've repaired many things with black cotton+poly sewing thread and CA, same method used doing all the "welds" of the carbon fiber arrow shaft scratch built dragster chassis. its a little tedious but you can do so (sew?) much with it, VERY strong and blends right in. been seeing videos of using powdered pencil lead carbon and CA for repairs too, would fit right in with the sewing thread and CA method, wiping it into the thread before CA is applied and wrapping more thread (and so on, for a few layers). sanded smooth and smeared over with CA you might not even notice a repair at all after you're done.

    • @ShenRC
      @ShenRC  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yea I always do this I also use the fishing line that strong braided one when i do this then after it's done with the CA I then coat it with that goop glue.. also a nice coat of that goop glue will also make parts much stronger too! Thanks for watching.

    • @modelnutty6503
      @modelnutty6503 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@ShenRC absolutely with that small braided line on larger parts, if I had it on hand I'd use it. 2 and 3 mm carbon fiber rod can be bent very clean+precise with heat (make a jig!) for "tube frame chassis" parts to lash together, or white thread and CA lashing bamboo BBQ skewers into a structure (heat and water to bend the bamboo). done a few rubber powered ornithopters with that stuff.

      Awesome and intuitive fix Shen! Looks like it held up super well. Not sure why anyone would want to go faster with this flipping that gear around. That torque is so nice, and going faster means even more roll overs and possible damage to parts. Gotta love those whistling tires, I found that to be a riot! Glad you had a much better run today. These things have some true Monster Truck characteristics don’t they? Although todays monster trucks have a much more plush suspension. You got a nice place to run that beast! I could definitely tell you were having fun, and that’s what it’s all about. Thanks for sharing your ideas brother! Have a great day!

    I got one and ran 2 batteries three it on a flat low grass front yard and on the street and mine pulls to the right hard sometimes and sometimes not but always right. You can sometimes get it going and it goes straight as an arrow under full throttle but other times it wants to pull right. I am lost as to why unless it is a weak servo and that steering setup that allows it.

    • @ShenRC
      @ShenRC  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi it does do that it's torque steer but a lot of it's due to the sloppy lots of ply in the steering. Stay tuned I just fixed mine and will have a video.
