You never really resolved the 'Ink Cartridge error' in this video. I tried these steps in my HP 3835 as well but alas the error still shows. How did you finally get rid of the error?
I have resolved the problem by resetting printer to factory setups. Go to settings>tools>restore factory defaults. And after that use a brand new cartridges, because previous might be already blocked by hp software.
Hmm I'm having this problem w the black ink. But it seems like it's more of a paper problem because sometimes the paper is printing but the print is not straight and the paper corner is a little bent. Does that make sense? Any more ideas? Thank you!!
Well u can even get pass the error to do anything eles beside using it as a scanner. Mine printed a couple sheets then this error . No color ink installed either
My Ink cart is fine, it will print the align page. The problem is my computer doesn't show up in the device mgr. I've unplugged it from both ends and restarted it. It's an Envy 5520 and yes the driver is up to date. Thoughts?
Is this the only envy 5520 that you had installed on your computer? Try unplugging printer from computer, restart computer, in the meantime do a semi-full reset on the printer. Plug in, and hopefully that works.
@@303electronics When I would look at the Device Mgr. It wasn't showing the Printer "do a semi-full reset on the printer. "This was the fix, seems the wizard failed. I did it manually, using the IP Address. Thanks
My printer indicates both cartridges are good, but it only prints in color. I’m going to try cleaning the cartridges It gets really hot here in the summer and I imagine the black cartridge has dried ink on it. Thanks for your explanation on how to clean the cartridges.
I apologize for not explaining. You can use a single cartridge mode by taking one cartridge out. I'm not sure if it is for both cartridges. When your black ink is out or cartridge goes bad, you can remove it and leave the color cartridge in the printer. The printer will automatically go into single cartridge mode, and you will see the message on the screen. With the color cartridge the printer will produce all colors, including black. Thanks for your note. Good luck!
