@34:40 conflating UBI with unemployment seems unreasonable... some of his noted effects of unemployment may be due to the stress caused by not having a stable source of income rather than the absence of a job.

Good discussion for the most part, definitely a thumbs up. Quite disappointed with some of the sloppy thinking regarding the need for UBI. Very puzzling statement about recent reduction in poverty? Nearly all the reduction can be attributed to China using a blend of capitalism and communism. Seems like these gentlemen lack empathy or they are so isolated from the reality of the masses living in a poorly engineered economy. I suspect that the peer pressure is just too strong in the USA and forces these otherwise nice gentlemen to be dismissive of bad economic management and the suffering. It's just not cool too be honest about the theft from the poor by the rich.
Maybe that's the answer... a hybridization of communism and capitalism.
