    ''Totaled'' doesn't always mean that a car is so badly damaged that it doesn't run anymore .. as far as an insurance company is concerned it can also mean that, even though you can still drive it, it would cost more to repair the damage than it was worth.

      Very true, insurance company will total the car even if there is a small amount of frame damage or any amount of structural damage at all. It doesn’t have to be a bad wreck for structural damage.

  • @janus9824
    @janus9824 2 ปีที่แล้ว +84

    I understand why the Plaintiff did it and it makes sense. Most people live in a mindset that they are always paying monthly for something and never pay something off to own it. In her mind she had a car that she owned and completely paid off, it did not make sense to go out and buy a new car at a much higher price which will mean she now have a new monthly payment for at least 2 years as opposed to fixing the damaged car out right for a lesser cost and not have monthly payments for years.

    • @ivyworth862

      Or just get a cheap car that runs for the price to fix a totalled car… you can’t pretend the only options are to go into debt buying a new car or fix a totalled car (spending more money to fix than it’s worth). What she did makes no sense and is stupid. You pretending we live in a universe where used, running, cars don’t exist doesn’t make it make sense. It makes it look even dumber since you have to justify the stupidity with delusions.

    • @janus9824
      @janus9824 2 ปีที่แล้ว +7

      @@elvickRULES The car was only worth $1000 which the insurance company gave her. She said she was already looking for a new car but the mechanic said he could fix it for $2300 meaning she only had to put $1300 on top of the $1000 the insurance company gave her to get the car fixed. According to her, a new car would cost $5000 to $10000, and viewers don’t know where she lives or what make and model vehicles she was looking at or was available for her to buy. So based on the word of the mechanic that he could fix it for that low price, she went with the lesser price option which makes sense. If the mechanic told her the repairs would have been $5000 minimum then it wouldn’t make sense because then she could have just gotten a new car.

      It was taken by a truck for maybe being an unpaid car or illegal parking.

      The insurance company believes that it will cost more to repair the car than it is worth, so they "total" it, or consider the car a total loss and simply pay out the value of the car to the policy holder.

    If you desire to be used of God, be prepared for negative words to come against you. Humble yourself and take the hit. These negative words are refining tools that God uses to perfect his instrument. If you allow God to handle the negativity, you also allow Him to handle your elevation.
