This is a 500-year-old Jewish children's song normally sung at Passover in remembrance of freedom from Egypt; hence, the director's decision to use it in the movie, "7 Days in Entembbe" is as a tribute to the hostages and their promised freedom by Yitzhak Rabin, Shimon Perez and Benjamin Netanyahu.

Love how people in the background are just doing random things at the start, and at the end, everyone is hypnotized. Would've liked a camera angle or pan that shows more of the crowd and reactions.

This is a beautiful rendition, & I love that it begins with "Ani ma Amin," but I wish the camera-person wasn't at such close range, because it is difficult to fully appreciate the unity of the dancers when the composite is not in view. For the person who asks above, the meaning of "Echad Mi Yodeah," it means in Hebrew, "Who knows One?," & it comes from the Jewish verse recited or sung at the time of Peasach/Jewish Passover, & it speaks of the 12 plagues against the Pharoah who enslaved the Jewish people. The motions of the dancers enact these 12 plagues which can be found in the "Haggadah," the Jewish book that we use at our Passover Seders.

here's a YT lyric video on this--- th-cam.com/video/1XU-3IuzPEE/w-d-xo.html. This song is based on the song that children sing during Passover. One interpretation is that each line of the song strips away everything until we are left with only the true essence, that G-d is One.. And like all Jewish Martyrs, the Victims of the Shoah (Holocaust) were stripped and led to their deaths with the Shema on their lips. What is also tragic is that of the 6 million Jews killed by the Nazis, 1 Million of them were children. And another interpretation is that while throughout the ages the Jews were stripped and fell, they will rise again; linking the song to two of the 13 articles of Judaism.. the belief in the Messiah and the Resurrection of the dead.
