9 yards iyengar madisar---the elegant attire

NAM SAMPRADAYAM ! A comfortable attire , very easy to drape. A single cloth, 9 yards(about 8.2m}, which has salwar to walk comfortably, a kutcham to protect our lumbar and back, draping neatly makes the wearer graceful and suits women of any stature. Adorn the srichurnam. It is the symbol of THAYAAR ,Sri Mahalakshmi. It protects us from negetive energies , hence protecting the AGNYA CHAKRA. Elders at home always said that the kutcham actually prevents the earth's pull on our MOOLADHARA CHAKRA.

Adiyen, thanks ma. Yes, as you say it is the most elegant attire. If one practises wearing it regularly on occasions; soon you can drape it in just 5 min!
When we comply willingly to respect strict dress code elsewhere why not here too?
It is our duty to keep up our sampradayam.
Initiate by draping the madisar and panchakachcham (for men). Adorn the thirumaN and srichoornam. It will give you a pleasurable feel. This needs to be experienced and it inevitably commands respect too!!😊😊🙏🏼

Explained the draping very well. I always insert a naada in between after the back tucking for safety. That way we can be assured the tuck won't come out.
