    This is so impressive, my team has 5 differnt attachments and we still only got 355. Amazing job

      No problem! Unfortunately, we don't have a copy of the design. We built it from scratch using general design principles and then modified as needed. We made a video on those principles last year: th-cam.com/video/Sext38SkPt0/w-d-xo.html . The base of our current robot is fairly similar to last years, and we certainly used the same principles as last year. In addition, we feel that it's important for our viewers to get creative and build something of their own using our videos as inspiration.

    Hello! How do you keep the robot balanced? the motor is in the right side and when I tried to replicate it, it was off balance and that's why it moved more right than it should. I hope I made that clear. Is it possible to get a screenshot of your program?

      The motor being on one side will cause some imbalance, but depending on the rest of the design, it shouldn't be significant enough to impact the driving. To avoid imbalance, it's important to have a low center of gravity (i.e. shorter and wider robot rather than a tall and skinny one). In addition, it's important that the structure of the robot frame is rigid and solid. If you have structural imbalances or if the structure is flexible, that could easily throw off the driving. As for the program, we like to leave some creativity up to the viewer, so we would prefer not to give the program. I will say that we didn't do anything crazy. All of the moves are done with the basic motor blocks. However, if you have any programming questions or need assistance, feel free to reach out, and we would be happy to help.

    does your robot always do the missions? does it have no errors?

      I would say we are about 90% consistent on every mission except for the hybrid car. I say 90% because sometimes we just have something unlucky happen by random chance. For example, when we score the energy units in the toy factory, sometimes one will hit something and bounce out or one will get stuck in a weird way on the dumper. So, we are consistent aside from a few unlucky scenarios. The hybrid car is a little more of an issue because we have to raise the bar at an angle. So, I would say that one is more like 70% consistent. However, we are making adjustments to our run to get a higher score and be more consistent. We will be uploading a video on that in the near future.

      @@JHYO333 the result is impressed, because you work without sensors. I think that if you use a gyro sensor at least you will be more precise

      Thank you! A lot of people use a ton of sensors and several elaborate attachments which can be intimidating to others. So, we like to show that it is possible to achieve a high score without using many sensors or attachments. I agree with you about the gyro, though.

      The EV3 Gyro Sensor is somewhat unreliable. It has know issues where it just resets or looses its calibration. When it does that, it just start running off randomly. That cause the robot to run erratically. We tried redoing last seasons mission to use the gyro and eventually gave up due to the random failure of the gyro. I understand that the Spike Prime gyro is very stable.
